I really hope after DuckTales ends that Huey, Dewey and Louie get to keep their updated personalities and not just go back to hive-mind triplets.

I think my favorite part of this is that Louie had NO HESITATION yeeting his crown at the wormy thing. If it's a choice between treasure and his brothers, he will ALWAYS choose his brothers.
Also that last shot of the three of them is beautiful. I want it colored. XDD

lol thank you so much. I went back and forth on whether or not they'd secretly be playing DnD with Scrooge as the DM, but in the end the song's pacing didn't steer me in the direction. Oh well. 😄

Genuinely love this! Not only does the song match so well with their personalities, but I like your own twist, but actually animating a scene instead of a walking animation. I could see this being a real episode as well!
This meme just fits so well with this show.
I know I'm not the first to make this connection but I love how each of the twins embody a part of of Scrooge's personality:
- Huey: Scrooge's wit & intelligence
- Louie: Scrooge's love of money & ambition
- Dewey: Scrooge's sense of adventure & bravery

i just watched this like 4 times. somehow youve put together a video in less than 2 minutes that feels like a linear and refined story that could be in a full ducktales episode!!! its so cute and amazingly in character for all 3 of them, especially their interactions with one another; even just little things like the exasperated "are you freaking kidding me" look huey and dewey give louie, the way huey drags louie by the arm and wipes that smug look off his face in 2 seconds flat, or how they work together fighting so well at the end. im not an animator, so i know very little about art terminology, but i loved the way you used grids to show the boys' positioning in rooms and how their motion was so fluid even without having to draw a million frames (i especially love the design of the snake monster thingeys?? super simple but also super creative! they didnt even have eyes and yet their surprise/fear/rage was so expressive in so many shots.) in conclusion, this is all i will think about for the rest of the week and i'd love more ducktales content from you in the future!!

Huey is the smartest of the trio so he is the poet. Louie got the King because he loves treasure.
I read a fanfic a bit ago that had Louie as the poet and Huey as the ruler but I actually really love this take on the lyrics! Not to mention that the storytelling and animation are absolutely beautiful!

While 2017 Dewey definitely fits the Soldier, I would never imagine 2017 Louie being Ruler. Like, the dude is lazy and selfish, that definitely doesn't sound like a ruler to me.
In fact, Louie could also be the poet, who's described as: "Who's weapon is his word, He will slay you with his tounge," and 2017 Louie likes to use his words to smooth talk his way out of bad situations or persuade people onto his side (The latter kinda fits ruler, but that's the only thing).

Huey has more making of a ruler tbh. Oldest, organized, responsible, disciplined and principled.
Eh. They both work in either role. I like the animation on this SPK video better, but after reading an excellent fanfiction based on this song that takes the L=Poet and H=King perspective, I do think that other earlier video works a little better based on their characters.
