Plateau K!llng: Urgent Call for Calm Amidst Tragic Incident

In the wake of the devastating attack on Fulani herders in the Kwal District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, where two herders and over 150 cattle lost their lives, the leadership of the community has issued a plea for calm.
Emphasizing the importance of restraint, the leadership has urged its members statewide not to resort to vigilantism.

Troops from Operation Safe Haven, responsible for peacekeeping efforts in the state, are currently on the ground alongside Fulani herders, surveying the aftermath of the recent attack.
Reports from the Fulani community indicate that the death toll has tragically risen to 250, with concerns mounting as several cattle remain unaccounted for.
Garba Abdullahi, the state chairman of the Gan Allah Fulani Development Association and leader of the coalition of Fulani in the region, has strongly condemned the attack. He has urged security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to bring those responsible to justice.
