Great demo! Extensive but concise. Each of your examples were wonderfully musical in nature which brought out the best in the library. The library sounds great! Thanks.

This library sounds fantastic! I prefer your reviews than the ones they make on their channel, I can feel more passion in yours than theirs, their walktrough always seem rushed
@Cory Great review! I’ve been considering Neo,I have every other Albion. Your review just sent me past the point of no return. Thanks, Kenny aka kgdrum
This is so useful indeed. Thank you Cory. Way better than the freking showman session of one of the founders or the squeezed take of the other one. (y)
This is exactly what I was looking for in a review. Getting to hear each sound and seeing if this software would work for me or not. There go 400.00 bucks again to Spitfire lol 😆
@@CoryPelizzari I asked Paul how Spitfire decides which player to use. Paul said they use their player when there are "things" Kontakt can't do. Not quite sure what that means.
@@chrismassa5891 It means that there are certain things that are easier to script in a custom engine, but that in itself never means the engine is better or more suitable. Spitfire's engine isn't anything special and it's optimised for Macs so it's just not a good platform overall. OT's SINE Player is infinitely better.
I was going to buy symphonic strings next, but this has changed my mind. My only concern is having a lot of the same in Albion 1. I don’t want to pay for Step steam band, Brunel loops ect, already have in Albion 1. Wonder how Spitfire compensates for this?
After weeks of having Albion Neo sitting on my external hard drive I finally used it. I was working on other libraries I got! Would you compose something as a sample to use it? It has so many files that it’s a bit hard to choose files to make a combination, because I would want something simple with not too many sounds in one composition.
Hi! I need to make a last time purchase but I can only afford one during Cyber Monday? I own Albion 1 to 5 and which library would give me more variety? Albion Neo or Solstice?
I've got both Studio Strings Pro and Chamber Strings and I think Neo is still pretty useful, especially for sketching string parts and getting more moving string parts.
quickly! (/^-^)/ introduce Sound with a quiet and calm, there are many weak sound of Attack? It seems that there are many patches, but isn't it suitable for intense music?
Gr8 vid mate! I tend to buy Spitfire libraries all exited and sh*t and then I hardly ever seem to use them for the most part. Do you think this affliction will befall me with this library?
More like repackaged Tundra. But it's better than Tundra so I'm fine with that. Loegria has a much darker and delicate sound whereas Neo can be used in more general compositions.
Hi, intense review! I am a bit torn between this and Olafur Arnalds Chamber Evolutions as a next purchase, have you tried that and what do you think? Given they seem to have a similar atmosphere, I get the feeling Chamber Evo might be more of a one trick pony (long sustained notes with a variety of frills on top), but it does sound great. What's your view?
@@CoryPelizzari thanks for your reply. yes I fear that would be a bit limiting, plus I see that in your custom patches and in segla textures you do get some nice "evolutions" anyway. So I'm inclined to think that I would get some more "personal" results by mixing up my own patches, or just adding layers.
@@CoryPelizzari Hi again, I found out your other excellent videos about Spitfire Studio Strings. Now I wonder, if price wasn't really the issue, would you go for Neo or the Studio Orchestra? I wonder if with Studio Orchestra you could get similar "nordic" atmospheres, by using the extensive articulations they provide and orchestrating the instruments individually, or if you think that Neo still stands as a valid alternative. There's also Spitfire Chamber Strings of course..so the other question is, dry sound or wet sound?
@@Aedhon I think Albion is better as an overall songwriting tool. Studio Orchestra requires a lot more knowledge and tweaking to get the best out of it (same with Chamber Strings). So I'd start with something like Neo or Albion One and then go for the bigger libraries later for adding details or making more complex songs from sketches you've made with the all-in-one library first.
@@CoryPelizzari thanks, you're probably right. I have Albion One, it's good but the strings sound too big so i can't really fit them in in what I do. That's why I'm scouting around!
@@CoryPelizzari Albion ONE or Symphobia 1. I just got Symphobia 2 and am loving it. Would it be good to keep the Symphobia's together or look for something slightly different like Albion ONE of BBC Core?
@@shotsi673 If you're looking for more emotive sounds then Albion One will be a good pick. If you just want more longs, shorts and effects then Symphobia 1 will flesh out the one you have now. S1 doesn't have any legato instruments though.
honestly i don't think its fair to compare this to Tundra, while i will agree the loops in Neo a far superior, Tundra aesthetic really is different, face value may suggest that they are similar, but Tundra is in reality a massive sound played extremely softly, while Neo is just a chamber orchestra with an Icelandic touch. Tundra is Skyrim while Neo feels more like the witcher. (When comparing the soft compositions of each game). the spotty sampling is honestly aesthetically consistent with was Tundra is, i mean if this same spotty sampling appeared in a standard library (Cough, Cough, BBCSO).... then yeah i would be upset.
Thanks for. a really good review, and spending so much time going through a lot fo the sounds, really appreciate it. This seems like a great library.
