    Hi Paul, thanks for the excellent tip! Your video on getting a slow easy swing has been a great help too!

    "The helicopter would crash if you do this.." that made me chuckle.. Ironic. Thank you for a recap of the drill. :)

    Paul, after 2 lower back fusions, the helicopter drill is critical to loostening up my lats , stretch my lower back muscles, and hip flexors.

      You definitely want to be loose before hitting your first shots

      @@paulwilsongolf Also realized with that SC200 that more effort doesn't work. Trying to keep those wrists loose but I still feel like I'm tightening at impact. I avg 275 yards but use to be able to creep over 300.

    Hello Paul , I would really like your advice on something please if you could kindly take a moment because my head is in a pickle with golf at the moment. I was taught in my down swing to kind of throw the club the the right. Now I’ve seen new coach and he’s told me to come across the ball and exit left. It’s like everyone is telling me different. You seem great, I watch lots of your content. Should I feel like it’s an outside to in path ? I just have no clue. All the best

      I would rather your path be corrected by having the right swing positioning. When you start swinging "towards 1st base" or swinging left, you are know manipulating the golf club and these are all arms thoughts. Yes, sometimes you have to help the situation with the arms, like fixing chicken wings, etc.. But I wouldn't be thinking of swinging left or right...unless this was the last resort. The path should be slightly inside out, but this is created by using your lower body to hit the golf ball.

    Paul, what is your opinion on weighted clubs for warm up and training?

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  5 лет назад +3

      I like the shorter version of the weighted clubs. This way they're not too heavy. I would rather you swing something lighter then when you go to hit your regular golf club, it feels heavy. The golf club should feel heavy.

    Paul been closely watching all of your videos. Unfortunately I have developed the WORST thing in golf now and would love your video on how to avoid the SHANKS. I don’t know how this developed but it won’t go away

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  5 лет назад +3

      When does a shank occur? Usually with your lower clubs...what do they have in common? You end up bending over too much, stay taller when you take your set-up. This will cure shanks in minutes.

      Paul Wilson Golf ...I was taught to “pretend your sitting on a stool “ which keeps me off of my toes and also helps me more center vs off the heal/ possible shank... Would this be like as you say “standing taller?...Does this make sense?

      I will try this so thanks so much. Any video you make on this will be appreciated with any other tips. Been playing for 15 years and today had to leave the golf course after I lost ten balls on one hole. 8 handicap.

      And yes you’re 100% right it all started with my 6 iron. However I was even doing with my wedges at one point. Thanks will try standing taller

      @paulwilsongolf  5 лет назад +2

      Sitting on the edge of a bar stool is a great image to have when taking your set-up, this is a way to get a taller set-up to help rid the shanks

    The pro’s turn their shoulders more down towards the base line.
    Are you proposing to turn the shoulders that flat in your actual swing?

    • @paulwilsongolf
      @paulwilsongolf  2 года назад

      Well you are tilted when you set up to the ball right? If turned would you not still be tilted?
      ruclips.net/video/TmjVMTzGRrU/видео.html
      So the tip you watched is a warm up drill. So do that as you warm up instead of seesawing the shoulders up and down.
      Keep in mind I am trying to build you a swing for life. You tilt severely and you will kill your back. I have tried it and it killed my back.
