Gotta be super careful around those ROUNDS guys. They could be a UXO (Un-eXploded-Ordinance). Some of those round blow up on impact, not like a gun bullet that is just lead. The box looked like blasting caps.... jeeez. I'm prior military and having a panic attack watching you guys just toss that round around LOL
It wouldn't be unexploded ordinance since thats just the shell. There was no casing. And if your ex military you would know that the powder for the charge is in the casing not the shell.

And even if it did still have the casing, the odds of the powder staying dry in those conditions are next to 0. It looks like a fired artillery round (the lead projectile) that for whatever reason didn’t break up when it hit the water.

A "shell" or "shell casing" is the housing that holds the projectile and powder charge that is loaded into the chamber to be shot..
