"War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend."
Audiomachine is the best gym music ever. Today I beat my PB while blasting this on max volume in my headphones. Nothing like LARPing some scenario in your head while staring yourself down in the mirror just like you're about to do battle with yourself.
As I sat there looking at the bloody battlefield, The muddy field filled with dying young men, I think why were they killed, What goal have the fulfilled, Their soul tossed out, Without a thought, What have those souls bought, That so many have paid the tolls, Of being put to the blade, Decade after decade, We make the same mistake, Of allowing ourselves to persuade one another, To break another life, With the knife of hatred, Never seeing life as sacred, Without foreseeing the consequences, Never using our senses, We are constantly abusing one another, Not at our expences but of those young men, As they constantly die for use then, Those with an eye can see, Those who have survived the debris of war, Those who can’t restore, And always swore to save their comrade, But watch them die as a slave to the system, Were no medicine can apply, To the comparison of their wounds, Without anything that includes happiness, Throughout it all, As they fall, No matter how small, We can recall, They all share the same expression, A look of depression, It can’t be mistook, The tears of war, It is the look they took...
" I did not call upon my army at your doorstep because one man told them to do so , they came because we think as one ; unified as the men I stand by today . Greeks. " - Alternate timeline Alexander the Great .
Hmm, my music senses tell me this is the first part of a song; hence why it just cuts off instead of reaching a full climax. But hey, I might be wrong, as it sort of did have a climax around 2:05 or so
I don't know what to think , this is a cool tension music with a great build up but there is no "explosion" , it ends abrubtly . Kind of tantalizing Favs , anyway.

Hello fellow Tolkien fan

This is giving me hardcore nostalgia for some reason
Just realised the intro sounds kinda like the partisan by Mick Gordon
wow this is so much better than Paul's usual music. He has really improved and this album seems great. I can't wait to hear the rest of it
This song made me cry like I've never cried before. Thank you 🙏
As I sat there looking at the bloody battlefield,
The muddy field filled with dying young men,
I think why were they killed,
What goal have the fulfilled,
Their soul tossed out,
Without a thought,
What have those souls bought,
That so many have paid the tolls,
Of being put to the blade,
Decade after decade,
We make the same mistake,
Of allowing ourselves to persuade one another,
To break another life,
With the knife of hatred,
Never seeing life as sacred,
Without foreseeing the consequences,
Never using our senses,
We are constantly abusing one another,
Not at our expences but of those young men,
As they constantly die for use then,
Those with an eye can see,
Those who have survived the debris of war,
Those who can’t restore,
And always swore to save their comrade,
But watch them die as a slave to the system,
Were no medicine can apply,
To the comparison of their wounds,
Without anything that includes happiness,
Throughout it all,
As they fall,
No matter how small,
We can recall,
They all share the same expression,
A look of depression,
It can’t be mistook,
The tears of war,
It is the look they took...
And you’re not on StoryFire?!
This is the music of wars and battles yet to be fought but always remembered
