I remember read somewhere the Earthworms helping you're beautiful plants grow so like when I was just to grow flowers and stuff like that and plants and stuff and when it rained around spring my spray bottle in the soil I see those earthworms and I remember just detecting them cuz I knew they would make my crops grow better and they did go better so that protect them from pests and shit and I love this little guy this guy's really help us out
Earthworms are extremely beneficial to crops, they loosen the soil and that allows plant roots to grow and breathe and their worm castings are great fertilizers, they also consume dead insects and leaves before fungus grows on them and keep it clean and infection free for the plants
its strange that these worms are out during the day, they have photosensitive cells in their prostomium that detect light and earthworms shy away from bright light, especially sunlight because that will dry their moist cutaneous skin and they need their skin to be mosit because they rely on diffusion for gaseous exchange, so being out in the sun is actually very harmful to them as a dry skin is not very good for diffusion and the worms could die of asphyxia, they hate salt for the same reason and will not survive an extremely hypertonic environment
Earthworms are amazing for the garden - people don't realise what it is that they actually do. Definately more research should be done, they may well need our help!
I recently watched a video of earthworms, saying that they aren't native to Americas, and were brought there by European settlers. So... by modern standards, earthworm would be there an invasive, ecosystem disruptive species. Recently an asian flathead worm has invaded Americas, and people there try to get rid of it because its eating the earthworms, and being toxic, it also has no natural predators to keep it in check, and its very problematic since its resistant to chopping etc. But is it only restoring the previous ecosystem if it replaces the earthworms but does not mix the organic matter to soil as earthworms do?
Not only all this, but I never had a worm try to crawl into my house before, never found a worm in my room. Learn a lesson from this spiders, flies, and ants.
Are Tequila Worms alive? That little worm inside your bottle of tequila is not alive. In fact, if it wasn't for drowning in booze then that little worm would turn into a beautiful butterfly (or moth rather), as it's not a worm at all. It's the larvae of a moth.
