I know I am getting here after many years. But I have just made a quilt using your tutorial and pattern for Project Linus and wanted to say thank you. I am a tentative quilter, but absolutely loved making this, and the kite tail border is adorable. I made it with my blue, white and red scraps with a bit of grey and charcoal thrown in and I hope some young person will love it.
Donna ~ you knocked this out of the park! I’ve just discovered your videos and I’m sending all of my shopping your way now! Your family is truly inspirational ~ God bless you!
I don't care how old or new the video is, I love them all. I watch a lot of RUclips in a big range of topics and interests. Your channel is my favorite! I am so excited when I get a notification that you have a new one. It would be a dream come true to get to Oregon and visit. I might need to wear a bib with all the drooling I would do in that sea of beautiful fabric and quilts. 😄 No, no actual drooling. Thank you for all you and Matt do to bring so much joy to so many people.
Nov. 14, 2023. I just watched this video, Donna. Love the fabric and pattern. Kite tail border is nifty. I used this method recently to make little pinwheel blocks. I binged watch several older tutorials this afternoon. Thank you! Marion in Gresham
I always learn something from your tutorial. Now I understand need for certain sized borders. And I need to hear your tips and instructions more than once to have them sink in. I am a 30 year retired teacher and we were instructed to repeat instructions 30 times to make sure the students comprehended. I hear you every time. Thank you. Your photographer is the best!
I love the way Donna uses the extras for borders (or pillows, table runners...) in so many of her designs! They add a beautiful unique touch while encouraging creativity. I rarely buy fabric (I use cut-up clothes, etc. and gleaned yardage), but if I did, I would do just what I do anyway-- avoid waste-- which is what Donna's cute bonus projects do.
Thank you so much for this tutorial & free pattern. Your instructions are so clear & love your time saving cutting method & how you allow for SA on the flying geese.
Any time I have the opportunity to speak about my abilities, I give Donna Jordan credit for being the one that has most helped me improve my piecing skills. Thank you, Donna, for your wonderful videos.
You’re a hit! I grew up around quilting! My great Grandmother my Grandmother my mother and aunts used to set around a quilt frame hanging from the ceiling and hand stitch quilts. The heavy hug you cotton batting make you feel better when you’re cold or sick quilts! I appreciate you and your family for your contribution to America and the fine art you produce!
What a fabulous way to get two for one with no waste. Even if I don't need another half square triangle for the quilt I am working on I will be using this method and save the extra for another quilt. I am so glad to find your channel. Thank you so much for sharing. Happy Stitching! Pam C
Hi Donna, what a beautiful quilt. You make it so easy, your teaching methods and explanations are brilliant, you are a natural teacher. Thanks for sharing the pattern.
I am absolutely obsessed w/ your tutorials! This quilt is so gorgeous.... but all of yours are! Thanks for posting each step & sharing your helpful insights & suggestions. Love love!!
Donna. Thanks again for your generosity in time and the free pattern. I've got a lot of large print children's fabric and this pattern will be ideal to use them in a charity quilt. Keep up the good work - your tutorials are fun to watch because you are obviously enjoying what you do.
Donna that is fantastic...I love it!!! I love your tutorials too. I'm always amazed at how quiet your machine sews. Oh my gosh...those scissors bring back the memories. My step dad worked at a tire and rubber factory. The scissors he used to cut the rubber off the rolls when building tires looked exactly like those. I'm 63 and still have a pair of them.
Greetings from New Zealand - My favourite quilt so far - I discovered you on the first day of lockdown and have averaged three videos a day - You are the best teacher - you make it sound doable - I can't wait to fly over and come and see your shop in Grants Pass and buys heaps of fabric and patterns - Thank you for being part of my lockdown memories - Now just to decide on which quilt to make
Hi Donna, I am finally sewing this pattern and I’m loving it ! 🥰 I waited to gain more experience as I only have six mos making quilts. I Love K colors & Fasset Prints. It’s coming together great. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched this video and boy am I thankful I have it to refer too. You have really helped me improve my sewing skills. Thank you so much for sharing. 👍💗💕💜❤️💖🥰 Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
I believe Grunge should be in everything! I never thought of using it with Kaffe. I'm not a huge Kaffe fan simply because I don't know how to make it work for me, but I will definitely be making one of these. Love it!
I love you sewing technics, I have watched so many of your tutorials and like the way you make all the steps so simple. Thanks and keep them coming I looked forwarded to them.
Brilliant!! I have always hated wasting the little triangles. I think I will double stitch from now on and save for borders. Thank you. I have been wanting to make a quilt for my grandson. I think he'd love this. And then, I have t2 uncles who are WWII vets. Am so afraid I won't get their quilts finished but imagine this pattern in patriotic colors. Wish we were closer to your shop. Your classes are so great. I appreciate the time you put into this.
Cutting and discarding the double triangles. From the pieced rectangles has always bothered me, but by increasing the seam to 3/8” and making the smaller 1/2 square triangles into a kite tail design kid both economical and inspirational. THANK YOU! Slainte!
I loved this floating star pattern the first time you did it and, I'm loving it again. It is so versatile tose with special star centers and just as you did it. Thank you for sharing your talants with us. Stitch on Quilters. Carol
Love this tutorial. You are always clear, direct with explicit instructions and clear sound and video. Your tutorials are a joy to watch and learn from. Thanks so much and keep them coming.

An absolute fantastic quilt ! Really like the way you can have the positive and negative blocks and the multi coloured kite border brings it all together. Your tutorials are so well put together and you make it very interesting, thank you. Christine Rogerson
This probably sounds a bit "obvious", but I "think" it every time I watch one of your videos so I'm just going to come right out and say it. Donna, you make me feel like I WANT to quilt. I watch all your videos and appreciate the time and effort you, Matt, and your co-workers put into your work. Thank you and best wishes from Australia.
Absolutely gorgeous! Donna, you are amazing. I love everything you do. The Kaffe Fassett prints combined with the Grunge fabrics in the star pattern are really a wonderful combination. Love this so much.
Hi Donna, Just finished making this quilt from your wonderful quilt kit. Just like you said, it was a lot of fun to do. Everything was precisely cut and made it easy to put together. Looking forward to starting another project using one of your precut kits.
I am so glad I found you and Jordan Fabrics! Your tutorials are wonderful - I especially love the Kaffe Stars Quilt - so bright and happy! I have a lot of Kaffe fabrics and am going to have to make this quilt! Thank you so much for the wonderful designs and videos!

I love your floating stars! I bought the North Star table runner last Tuesday, got it Friday and sewed it up today. I just need to quilt it and bind it. Thank you so much for putting together these kits. Love them!.
Love that! Me too! I always say I have a Master's in Psychology, but I'm getting a PhD in HUMILITY from my kids. I'm also learning humility with how wonky my blocks turn out!
