  • I often walk through the area, showing people people sites which reveal the Jewish roots of this area. Boyle Heights in east Los Angeles was at one time very much an immigrant community akin to the Lower East-side of New York City, rich with diversity. We also walked up City Terrace, to see a much forgotten shul few people know still stands. This was just impromptu while i was during my regular Sunday walk all lazily, hopefully i can do a more complete and factual tour soon.
You should come out soon! Until then, take a quick video walking-tour with us.....

I just stumbled across your video and I can't help but see the similarities in our features you look like my family I've been on this journey of self-discovery for quite some time and my DNA and it just open the key and turns out I am descendant of the Inquisition I always wondered why my family had some of the Customs that some of my Jewish friends had but mind you and they didn't practice any of the prayers it was all forgotten it was just some of those things like not a whole lot of pork at all if anything Panda doilies everywhere my grandmother has a few but I have starved David Anna and I always thought that was kind of interesting because you know I thought we were just Spanish and Italian and Mexican but lo and behold where descendants of a mighty people and knowing this really brings me a lot of joy so thank you for your video

Cool video. I used to go to East Los a lot with my parents as a kid. I remember that big building on Breed back when Cesar Chavez was Brooklyn. Thanks. I dig your style.

Unfortunately, the Jews left Boyle Heights many years ago
and now reside in the West-Side.

Why no discussion of the Yugoslav, Croatian and Serbian, Russian and Japanese, Italian, Greek communities?

Maybe because it has to do with that people that lived in that particular neighborhood, I don’t know if Japanese lived there

This is a story about East Los not the Middle East. And yet you still chime in with hateful rhetoric, Guess there is no stopping the wrongfully righteous on their quest to prove they are hateful idiots.
