As a sci-fi & car guy, I got damn excited when I read (I'm pretty sure it was Lisebergs' website) that Volvo and Liseberg are going to work a lot closer in the future. Namely, the old (SAAB gearbox-factory?) by the southern entrance is going to be Volvo-cars/Polestar -themed, and oh my, does it make me excited!! The other plans for the park & surrounding area are absolutely amazing as well. One thing that I noted though; While the orient-theme really works and makes a lot of sense for many reasons - something inside me says I'd like to see a distinct Nordic style instead. I'm not owning the park - but if I did - I'd like to provide an incredible Nordic experience... Because.. The park is in Scandinavia! That would mean; Minimalistic design, futuristic touch & lots of creativity - and that without contrasting too hard with the rabbit-land and the Norse-mythology-themed attractions. A tough balance, but I'm convinced it's achievable. As an added bonus, it'd also make the park a lot more stylistically coherent (allthough less varied in terms of stylistic influence) But regardless, the Liseberg team is awesome, and the great park is constantly evolving, slowly & steadily into something even greater. I'm very very proud of them!
I think they would build a new roller coaster in the next few years, as you say that more and more people visiting the park. They lack space of course, but look at the new inverted coaster that Grona Lund is getting. What they can fit inn a such small place, imagine what they can do in Liseberg.
That's very true, but the problem is that there really are only two potential areas where Liseberg could build a new roller coaster that isn't for children, either in the former place of Lisebergshallen at the northern entrance or south of Valkyria or Balder where some of the offices are located. Any other place would require two or more attractions to be removed. Andreas has also stated that it will be around 5-10 years until the next roller coasters, mainly because their main focus right now is the hotel and waterpark. But it's very interesting to speculate about, I'm already planning to make a video on this exact topic later this summer, so subscribe to not miss it!
Yes, I'm aware of these plans. However that post is 3 years old and the plans have changed a lot since then. I believe we'll have to wait a few more years until we'll know for sure what their plans are for that area.
I want to see a inverted/flying coaster somewhere up near atmosfear, helix and lisebergshjulet since all the coasters at liseberg are standard over the track coasters. making liseberg a themepark and not a amusement park will be hard and it will take time and i can already see it happening i like that they are building up balders area into some kind of norse mythology area and kaninlandet is perfect. i like your idea of a asian style area so make that happen also you could call the mountain Xtreme hill or something removing the kids and family rides or moving them to kaninlandet making place for the coaster i was talking about. Thats my opinion anyways. What do you think?
It totally agree with you on that invert/flying coaster, that kind of coaster would fit perfectly at Liseberg. Regarding where it would go, I don't see it going up on the mountain. There isn't really enough space next to Helix and Lisebergshjulet for a bigger coaster and the children's area on the mountain was totally re-done recently so it would be very unlikely that they would demolish it after spending the amount of money they did after just a few years. Liseberg is after all a family destination and needs a lot of children rides to satisfy that group. The only potential location a coaster could be going in would be south of the current park where the park's offices are located at the moment, at least that's what I think. Interesting to hear your opinion though :) I'll be making a video on this exact subject in the future, so stay tuned!
@@wackywormchris729 Yeah, but the area around Helix mainly consists of the Liseberg Gardens and the decision to put a coaster in that peaceful environment would receive a lot of complaints from those who like to be there sadly. New for this year is also a haunt maze that is located in those gardens and it is doing really well so far, but who knows? It's always interesting to speculate :)
The creative & art direction with Kaninlandet (Rabbit-land) has slowly grown on me - the mix of steampunk, art & fantasy is right out genius. The way that Liseberg has developed the green-rabbit concept from mascots & merchandise in the 90's, to a super-fresh and amazingly creative park-area is absolutely awesome. And, considering how they plan to expand that section of the park - it seems as if the kids really like what they already get, and want more. As a big fan of Moomin & Lego, I see a lot of potential for the green rabbits. I'd love to see an animated series & educational / creative video-games with the theme. Even; If interests align, Gotheburg, or even Sweden, could have their own Mickey-mouse in the shape of a green rabbit.

Hey Im a time traveler and I just got the info that the water park burned up and that the only thing correct here is kaninlantet and the rest are not in the park. :D
Yes, I'm aware of that. I believe that there are two reasons why. The main one is of course due to the pandemic, which caused postponements of a lot of theme park projects worldwide, including at Liseberg where the attractions planned for 2020 and 2021 were both pushed back one year. But I also think that Liseberg have listened to the overwhelming negative feedback they received after the plans leaked and decided to postpone the removal and spend the required money to maintain it a few more years. What do you think?
Yeah, that is my plan. Although I've been waiting to do that until I can visit them to get a vetter understanding of the park and what I consider to be missing. Hopefully they'll be open by next year!
I wish they would put in some bigger rides instead of ones designed for families and children (yes i know it’s a family park but seeing liseberg develop with helix, loke and valkyria has been very promising so if they built bigger rides then liseberg could be a world famous park)
I absolutely agree, the only thing that limits Liseberg from these kind of investments is the lack of space. Due to being located in the middle of the city, the park is pretty landlocked. Although Liseberg recently bought the factories south of the park where they intend to expand on in the future. Stay tuned for a video on exactly that topic in the future!

Indeed it is, sadly, there comes a point in time when every attraction becomes too old to operate profitably :( Let's just hope the replacement will be a worthy successor while also bringing something new to the table!
Liseberg knows that people love FlumeRide and the replacement attraction is therefore going to be very similar to the current one. Think of it like FlumeRide but just with some changes to the layout, like a backwards section. I love FlumeRide just as much, but I wouldn't worry, Liseberg know what they're doing ;)
For the Log Flume there are publicly filed documents available and the darkride, hotel and waterpark have been officially confirmed. The rest is my speculation based on trends during the last years and my own wishes for the park.

@@coasterpov7701 Tack så mycket! Liseberg har haft en stor vinstökning under de senaste åren som följd av de nya attraktionerna varje år vilket tillåter dem att investera i nya och större attraktioner i framtiden.
