- Hey Monkeyfamily!
This week I take a look at the Real Ghostbusters Super Fright Features figures released by Kenner in 1990. It's an interesting wave of colourful figures with some wacky action features.

Hey Monkeyfamily!
Thanks for watching the video; I appreciate your time and interest!
Channel growth seems to have stalled; if you are able to help promote MBT by sharing the channel with other collectors and fans of plastic, your support would be appreciated. I don't think I can get to 1k subs by Christmas, but it would be great to get within sight of this milestone!
Thanks to everyone who supports the channel so faithfully; your encouragement is tremendous!
Have a splendid week!

I would think your first soft friend is a green bean or something similar. He looks friendly enough.
Nice figs as always. Never got the Ghostbuster toys but I like how colorful they are. Maybe your spider lost 2 legs in an old battle.
Have a great week.
@@andrewandrew4568 Thanks for watching, dude! Soft friend is apparently a pea, which I feel is a bit weird.
Thanks for your support; have a powerful week! 👍🐵
These are some really cool figures with great action features. Thanks for showcasing them. 👍🏻
@AllThings80s Thanks dude! 15 quid for the four ghostbusters was a steal.
My Real Ghostbusters collection is getting bigger than I anticipated when I began.
Thanks for your support Dean, I appreciate it sir.
Have a satisfying week 🙏🙏🐵
Hi, how are you now? All well I hope mate 👍🏻, good to see you back t
Those Toy Fair pickups were an awesome find, especially all together in one trip.
Toss up between Spengler or Venkmann for my favourite fright feature. Nice additional info from Matt. 👍
@@reading_MOVIES Yeah, I couldn't believe my luck when I found them all in the same rummage bin. Fifteen quid for the four guys was a steal. Very happy with that! I think you're my good luck talisman.
Cheers for watching dude! 👍🐵
I was going to make a joke about "Ghost Fish" being a great name for a band, but it seems there are at least several bands called that already. :)
@@GreyHulk2156 There are no new ideas under the sun...
Interesting figures you got yourself there MB, I think Ray is my favourite. The others seem a bit extreme perhaps the whole range would have been better with turning heads?
@Retrotoyguysi Yeah, the Winston one is especially weird. I do enjoy Janine's face full of fish though. I wasn't originally gonna get this wave, but getting the four guys for 15 quid was a no-brainer.
Thanks for checking out the video dude; I appreciate your support brother.
Have a tremendous week!
🙏🐵
Very cool Monkeyboy. How much more frightened are they (as they're super frightened) than the regular frightened figures?
@@dezt5108 Hahaha 😆 😅
Absolutely no idea these existed Dave!!! Taking me to ghostbuster school! Very peculiar features though, but I guess the stranger the better right? 😂
@ReynoldsReviews Yeah it's a fun little wave. I thought I was done with my Real Ghostbusters collection but it appears not. There are several more figures I'm thinking about getting. The thing with this line is that you need to get all four members of the team each time there's a new design, plus Janine of course. I have a feeling that this line above all others is gonna get out of control for me. I need to be stopped for my own wellbeing...
Cheers for watching dude, I really appreciate your support of the channel!
🙏🙏🐵
Those look very neat Dave! :)
@TimHayes Thanks Tim! They are pretty cool. Cheers for watching dude!
👍🐵
And you Sir, are an irritating unexplained scuff! Cool vintage Ghostbuster figures, indeed their costumes look different than the original Ghostbusters jumpsuits. They look more like 60ies spacemen! But I like them, funny animations. Having them all together for that price is indeed a bargain, great for the collection! Have a great weekend!
It was a very good bargain and I'm very happy to have them! My Real Ghostbusters collection is already bigger than I had planned, so who knows what others I will get.
Hope your weekend is splendid too! 🙏🐵
First there were "Fright Features" figures, then "Super Fright Features". That does rather suggest there should have been "Ultimate Fright Features" next. What would that have been? The figures just explode in your hands?! ;P
@@GreyHulk2156 Or they could piss and shit themselves? Missed opportunity I feel.
There are some unexplained scuffs on the garden patio. Was that Skeletor again?
More likely Trap-Jaw. He's a bit of a scuffer.
My exposure to the Ghostbusters toy line, like the Karate Kid one, was regulated to what my next door neighbor owned. He had a couple of the first wave of fright features figures, but none of these. I never cared for Kenner’s bizarre action gimmicks. But it is cool that you got these at a bargain.
Did you ever track down the Playmobile Spengler Cage Car that Travelswithjason told you about on one of the chillstreams?
@zantara Hey Zantara!! Thanks for the great comment!
Yeah, these figures were too much of a bargain to leave behind!
I did investigate the Cage Car but I wasn't sure if I liked it. The ghost that comes in the set is really cool though.
Thanks for checking out the video; I really appreciate your interest and support!
I hope your weekend is tremendous and groovy! 🙏🙏🐵
@@MonkeyboysToys I agree that the ghost that comes with the Cage Car is incredible and, if I were a collector of the product, would be worth the price of the set.
The Ghostbusters toy line is a lot bigger than I thought. Ray looks the most familiar of the ones you've shown here, but I don't remember the others. I think Winston looks the best overall, but probably has the worst fright feature.
Was that a runner bean at the beginning? He seemed quite happy whatever he was.
Hope all's well. Have a good week 👍
@stephengray8374 Yeah the line got pretty deep. Fun toys though.
I think the happy vegetable is officially a pea. I don't feel that this is particularly pea-like on the inside.
Thanks for watching dude!
👍🐵
Hi, how are you now? All well I hope mate 👍🏻, good to see you back
@@liveanadventure429 Hey man, I'm all good now I think, thanks for asking!
Cheers for watching and supporting the channel dude, it's great to have you along for the ride!
Have a tremendous week sir!
👍🐵
These are the only ones in this wave, I have these now but not as a kid I had the fright features but my cousin had these
@@liveanadventure429 The only ones I'd still like to get are the glow in the dark ones, but they are horrifyingly expensive most of the time.
Thanks for watching dude, it's great to have your support man
👍🐵
@@MonkeyboysToysyep apart from slimed heroes winston the ecto glows are the only ones I don’t have, they are a lot of money, and they look great don’t they? I’d like to get a fright features winston to complete the slimed line, I had those as a kid, 1990 I believe they were out, they were actually the last ghostbusters toys I got I believe
That's Peter Pea, a Goodness Gang Superfoodz character... apparently. Yes, I don't know either. ;P
@@GreyHulk2156 That's a funny looking pea. Thanks man! 👍🐵
@@MonkeyboysToys That’s because it’s still in the pod!
@@CrazyCatLady-JoJo well it's upsetting me regardless.
