In 1980s South Korea, Lee Eui-shik is a popular left-wing politician and potential presidential candidate who returns from spending time abroad to find he has been placed under house arrest. His political rivals have nothing but trumped-up charges to accuse him of, however, so must urgently come up with something concrete to charge him with - or risk needing to let him go free. In a desperate move, a government agency assigns a team of poorly performing covert spies to pose as a family and move into the house next door. Headed by Dae-wwon and featuring the clumsy bugging partner, this team - somehow - successfully manages to plant surveillance devices in Eui-shik’s house.
