  • This video is about the adventurous hike to Vulcan de Fuego in Guatemala. It is one of Central Americas most active volcanos. Every 15 minutes there is an eruption. It is an awesome and unique experience to see this natural phenomenon with your own eyes. I can totally recommend the two days hike. But be aware that it's an extreme hike and not an easy one. First you have to climb the Acatenango Vulcano, which is a non active Vulcano. There you ale sleep in a basecamp and you can decide if you want to go closer to Vulcan de Fuego which is active.
The Acatenango Tour or Acatenango Hike / overnight hike tour is totally recomendable!

Very brave, but very worth it, awesome experience and footage, but I think of White Island and the lives lost, and Mount St Helens. Its a risk, and one as an individual we have to make a choice to put ourselves at risk for the once in a lifetime moment. I fully understand that some risks are worth it. Thanks for sharing, Fuego is beautiful

We did it with a guide sice it is not possible to go alone. They are controlling the access to the mountain. They tour is about 60$ including food, jackets, and a tent.

One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done, just to see that awesome dawn is worth the trip. I got to say that you are in pretty good shape to be able to keep up with those guides at full throttle, most of them go up 2 3X a week so to them is nothing but to someone else like myself it was a bit exhausting.
