i keep reading that KOL now suck and the first 2 albums were great and all that...i just want to say that, you know, people grow up and change.....in the first album they were like 20years old .and now in their 30's... different experiences....staying the same in every aspect, in my poor opinion,is immature!!!and KOL ARE AWESOME !!at least they make their own music and songs!!!
I still love KOL but I can see they have lost something of their original artistic integrity with these new albums. These days the songs are clearly written for an older caste and to sell out stadiums (which is fine). But the rough edges of their original niche that made them what they were doesn't exist anymore... I for one hope the rough edges come back. Not to say that they should repeat their original albums but just write and record what they want to without intent to sell out.
Their quality as artists got lost by the end of the Because Of The Times era. It is not a secret. Caleb even fought against it several times & was going for a solo career. It is all documented. The last public display of that unrest of selling out was when he broke his guitar onstage. In other words, after the fourth, third album, they do suck, but for some years they were the greatest rock n' roll band on the face of the earth. Quite a feat. Legends.

Funny thing is that Keith Richards wrote (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. Apparently he wrote it in his sleep and recorded it, woke up the next morning and couldn’t remember the whole thing. The end of his dreamish recording was himself snoring for 40 minutes
its cool how he makes it a point to talk about how hipsters suck and shit, and how alot of the other mainstream bands suck and there are better bands out there that never get recognized....id be saying the same thing, maybe someday

KOL def not talkers and even when on stage they don't interact that much. This interview looks like one of those rare times when Caleb was honest and talked about quite a personal stuff. I know he hates interviews and the whole fame thing. So it's nice to hear these stories from him...
