I'm on week 3 right now (laparoscopic for fibroids). I am lucky that recovery has been a breeze so far. The first 3 days were uncomfortable, but that's about it.
I am 4 days post op and finally pooped lol! I took the pill form of magnesium citrate, stool softener and ate light. I climbed stairs very slowly four times and it wiped me out today lol I am resting this week! I feel I am recovering well too! Thanks for the video!
Looking good kid! Nice to see that smile on your face and the twinkle in your eye coming back. You're getting to the stage where you might be tempted to push a little beyond your limits. Easy does it. Pain is our bodies way of saying "Stop That!". Listen to your body and keep up the good work.
wow, thank you, you're an inspiration. Going in 1 week for mine and positive as well, however 68 yrs young eat very well work out so looking to get over it quickly. Thank you again for the positive attitude.
I love you so much Abby. I appreciate you sharing your journey and everything you've been through. I hope that a year later everything is going well! Lots of love to you! -Emma
I am almost two weeks post surgery doing better still hurts though. My mind is not quite into things yet either. I can not imagine laying on my stomach.
WoW You are doing amazing!! Yay Abby, it pays off being positive :) Go easy as you had major surgery and your body still needs to be nurtured, so be gentle. The damn incision will take lots of time to get used to, I'm not sure if I am "there" and its been years since the surgery. But, my scars are my tattoos for they tell a story of a piece of ones life, so its fine to live with. Think of you often and so happy for this update! Keep on gf :) Loved the underwear story, Spot On :)
I just got wifi back at my place. So now I can watch you all the time again! so glad you are doing so well. I just started following you here as well. Take care !!!
I hope you are doing well. Im post 3 weeks and i have not started wearing that band for support. Tell me how are things and any other tips that helped you❤
Thanks for sharing all of your videos. I'm having a hysterectomy on 24 Jan 2017 and I'm trying to decide if I'm keeping my cervix. May I ask if you kept yours? If not, how has your experience been without it? Thanks. 😊
Hi, just watched your videos because this is a decision I am facing now and needed more information on hysterectomy. I'd love an update 6 months on. How is your scare doing, hormone levels ok? Weight gain or loss and is your mood better, worse?
Hey Marian! It's been about 7 months since my surgery. Things are going well and I think it was definitely the best decision I have ever made! I still feel some numbness around the scar and sometimes feels like a bruise would, since it's still healing inside. I lost 10 lbs after the surgery but no changes since then. My energy has improved a lot and hormones seem good. I'm going in for a check up soon so maybe it's time for a final update video :). Good luck with your decision!
I'm going in for surgery probably September 30- but I'll have my ovaries out as well. I'm so nervous! I'm 39 and I'm more afraid of the anesthesia than anything. mind you this is not my first surgery. Ive had 2 c-sections already and 3 laparoscopies prior to that! any words of advice?? thanks!!
@@AbbyTV IM 2WEEKS post op, and wondering if I'm suppose to be feeling like the muscle nerves moving around in stomach. Its very uncomfortable. To where it feels like I pulled something..its uncomfortable to sleep on my side because the swelling hasn't went all the way down yet. But it fells like a tight knot or ball on each side of my insicion like right in the middle of my stomach. Is this part of every thing trying to come back togeather?

What are the side effects...
did you have to wear like a binder type thing?
+Allyson Raymond I didn't have to, but after 3 weeks I started wearing compression type underwear when walking around.
+AbbyTV I'm starting to wish they gave me one to wear. I think it would make things a little easier
