Originally came here yesrs ago as a Mark fanboy, left as a Nir/Bob cultist. One of my all time favorite YT videos. Lived in Jax for 27 years and regret never having seen Bob live. Matt Butler is a good friend of mine, maybe you knew him from DA.
Second upload attempt. Sorry to erase all your lovely comments on the first, but there was some evil digital noise in the video during Nir's solo. Should be straightened out now. Thanks for watching/listening!
Hey bob my names josh im a blues/ jazz guitarist in a band with my twin dan on drums and i must say your band is unreal the first band who gives me everything i would like too here.!!! Your the best sax player for me right now!!!
This band is so good. The solos are fantastic, and that goes without saying, but Sput and Kaveh do an amazing job at changing on the go and building them up.
This band is the absolutely fucking bomb!!!! I am so jealous of every single soul in that video for being there and watch the recording of this video live! What a vibe all around, perfect sync between all the musicians!! Amazing work guys, well done!
I was probably in the womb listening to Jazz music. In my very young childhood, I listened to George Shearing, Oscar peterson and Nat King Cole. This is so wonderful for me to hear this kind of music again! X
Im so glad that i came here by accident and found such a beautiful band like you guys. I listened to every pieces, every second of the jamming . Thanks a lot !
Awesome. Great playing from everyone - tho the bass and drum interplay after the maniac guitar solo is very special. What a great band of very creative souls. Thanks for sharing such wonderful skill and talent.
Thats so beautiful!!!man...wow. so insane and musical and creative. So much respect for Bob Reynolds, i appreciate you and your work incredibly. Thank you
yep Bob let the song get away from him and the band came to the rescue. His words: "One of my favorite moments happens between 2:00 and 2:40: I goofed on the last phrase of the melody and (unintentionally) threw the band a curveball. Suddenly, we all had to figure out where 1 was. Was it where it should be, or where Reynolds dropped the beat? What to do? Just watch/listen to these maestros cover my ass-and recover the beat to its rightful place."
benton verry good haha, was gona comment up top but sure im here now,man i'm blown away at what i'm hearing from this Amazing collection of intelegent Reynolds Music maniacs in a good way if i may be so bold, what a sound/mood/experience i've had this wknd, highly ediccted, there i was thinking i could'nt hear anytghing better then Julian Lage and the lads, lov the double bass and the drummer is a cool dude, lill bit symble here hit the snare there, take it in your stride kinda feelin, but back at the ranch,i wanna meet them guitarists,WOW GOOD JOB BOB.PEACE.
From Bob's website, regarding this album: "There was one catch: we had no time to rehearse, and barely a sound check". Still trying to wrap my head around this. Is there a vinyl of this we can get? That'd be sick.
drummie reminds me of sly dunbar feel, very sure of his self, leaves plenty of space, no need to over complicate things unecessarily and over fill with fancy technique
Hey Bob! great session, i've been waiting to get in your online course. i love the way you develop the phrases, can't wait to take some lessons with you.
Hey Bob, could you please comeback and do those VLOGs? I would be content with 3-4 mins of unedited good stuff and I am sure you can pull this off! Cheers :)
Just watched you at Sundown at the Granada in Dallas on 2/20/22… you shredded on your solo during the encore and I’m trying to find a recording or footage. Can you help my out?
Seriously have enjoyed every song from this session, but I think this is my favorite. Great tune. One question. Is that a vintage RCA ribbon mic on your Sax?
These Guitar Band tracks are so good. Should we play them in the order you released them (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - I made a playlist in that order) or in the order of the playlist you made (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)? Either way, just listened to all 5 again.

I used to play gigs with Matt!
@@bobreynolds Very cool. I figured you DA guys all knew each other. He's lived in Austin for about 12 years now. Still doing his thing.

Jesus is what makes life worth living… music like this is a huuuuge bonus though
This is what keeps me playing.
this is one of the greatest live albums of all time.
Second upload attempt. Sorry to erase all your lovely comments on the first, but there was some evil digital noise in the video during Nir's solo. Should be straightened out now. Thanks for watching/listening!

This band is so good. The solos are fantastic, and that goes without saying, but Sput and Kaveh do an amazing job at changing on the go and building them up.

I so love great musicians...they play with such freedom.
I think this is as close as you can get to perfection without ruining the magic of music.
Im so glad that i came here by accident and found such a beautiful band like you guys.
I listened to every pieces, every second of the jamming . Thanks a lot !
+Khoa Le Huynh thanks!

Tony- Atkinson nope, just laid out for a bit. Didn't lose the pocket
He was just playing around for the audience.
yep Bob let the song get away from him and the band came to the rescue. His words:

I honestly need a pair of trousers with a pocket this deep!!
Dude... your comment was only 4 or 5 down the page. I'm done-You Win!
That bass solo was mesmerizing, too short !!
So inspiring, your sound and feeling when you play is just incredible....and as for the other musicians you collab with, wow.

drummie reminds me of sly dunbar feel, very sure of his self, leaves plenty of space, no need to over complicate things unecessarily and over fill with fancy technique
GOLDSMITHEXILE 2016 I agree. I think that's the hip hop influence shining through there
@@amehdi13 "drummie" is probably the best living drummer on this planet just so you know. :)
I enjoyed the last part so much. Bob really had fun there. 11:55 made me laugh lol
Hey Bob! great session, i've been waiting to get in your online course. i love the way you develop the phrases, can't wait to take some lessons with you.

I somehow ended up on here from Autoplay starting at Fallout Boy, followed by an hour of Frogleap Studios (metal covers). GG RUclips.
Seriously have enjoyed every song from this session, but I think this is my favorite. Great tune. One question. Is that a vintage RCA ribbon mic on your Sax?

Hi Bob, how do you get that effect you play @ 2:47-2:48? It sounds really cool, almost unnoticeable.
