I'm an old school Armored Core and Mechwarrior enthusiast and this game is getting me hard, we haven't seen many mech games in the past and a lot of them tend to be pretty blah, but this looks _really_ good. The whole NFT thing kind of weirds me out though, I'll have to look more into how the whole thing operates. Does it have any mech building systems or are they just pre-built units?
Definitely lost me at the way the game is monetized. I’m cool with FTP but this seems overly complicated and unnecessary. Just give me a good game that allows me to purchase skins and mechs while not being pay to win and I’m happy!! Being a huge titanfall fan I also want a fast paced mech game that I can just hop in and vs other players. THATS REALLY NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR!! Lol
If it's skins and stuff that's fine. But if it is actual mechs and weapons then the game will be absolute trash because you'll have the top players that just happened to have rng on their side. Otherwise I absolutely love the concept. I love titanfall and absolutely loved the online in the transformers games so I'll keep my fingers crossed they don't blow this 🤞
It definitely will include mechs, and probably weapons. Might turn the game into ptw in the long run, but then again that's only really a problem if you aim for the top. It seems to include PVE content, so you should be able to enjoy the game in your own pace.
@@zettovii1367 The problem is that the balancing of PVE content depends upon how it scales with player capability, which, if the top of the line capability is tied to monetary purchases, means that F2P players or people that don't want to have to engage with the system by buying shit from other players or from the marketplaces run by the studio, will inevitably struggle and suffer as the game's natural balancing outstrips their ability to obtain said resources
The rare system for digital trade, is good for the fans of Manga, this reminds us the Gundam, Macross & Evangelion when the characters have items that are rare for use, in this way every player can get a rare item & this motivate for explore & value every progress in the game, if this company get the support for streamers without a doubt be the Mech game that all wait.
So basically, this will be an open world mmo mecha game where you can create and customize your own unique gear, which you can sell or buy from other players with real money? Definitely sounds like it will become pay to win real fast, but at the same time, the base game just looks so awesome that I wouldnt mind just sticking to the PVE content... If not join in on selling stuff.

Steam will change their mind, don't worry. Epic games have no ban and there are also many decentralised platforms which will gladly accept NFT games. Search flow, enjin, phantasma, cardano, polkadot. Soooooo many blockchains. Their is a whole world within our world that nobody is aware of at the moment. NFTs are about to blow the f up and take over the real world.
Pyramid scheme: the mech game I swear if big software houses notice the dumpfire that are NFTs and decide to implement them in their next games we can say goodbye to gaming as a hobby
I've never heard of this, it looks awesome! I'll definitely keep an eye on it. I've never cared about NFTs so it doesn't bother me too much but this is the first time it's being used in a way that is actually interesting and would give NFTs an actual value to me. Hopefully it isn't a disaster that ruins the whole thing. The idea of having a truly unique mech that only you own sounds pretty cool on paper but we'll see how it works in practice. Something about this idea gives me serious Sword Art Online vibes for some reason, like a possible future where NFTs become digital goods that can be used from one game to another in a larger virtual reality and are unique to the person who owns them.
Man I was really digging this game it looks so epic like a mix of Mass Effect, Robotech, and Gundam but then the NFTs ugh I swear people's greed ruin so many great games
Finally something that brings back one of my favorite mech anime from the 80s Robotech, sadly how they're going its gonna be eh........now understandable if they're taking the root that Warframe did with Excalibur Prime then switch it up afterwards that I can deal with for those who exclusively help support it before release date lets hope we all get more info
NFTs are the future of gaming! Ever get told you're wasting your life while you're loving the time you spend playing game with friends and family? NFTs change that! Imagine playing a long session for fun and next thing you know you find a legendary weapon or tool that you can sell in real life to pay your rent for the next 3 months! Instead of a second job at doordash, your 2nd job is your favorite video game(s).
LOL! The definition of NFT is trust. You can prove the existence and scarcity of a NFT item, all possible with the power of blockchain. Wouldn't you want to prove your in game items are rare? Well you will now be able to do that plus much much more. This is what NFTs and blockchain is all about.
@@AlzdemX yes but I don't play Videogames to make money. I don't trust games that advertise NFTs as a primary selling point. I want a solid game with things I can earn and organic ways to improve. I'm not paying other players for their better items in order to win. Not into that.
how can you just buy a game asset? How can you support a player base if people simply buy the objects and claim exclusivity? I actually have nothing against NFTs, personally, but that element doesn't make sense. An art asset (especially a whole, modeled, rigged, textured, animated mech) takes a TON of time and effort to produce, so for someone to be able to buy a mech in a game like this as an NFT--how is that sustainable? How many dang mechs are they gonna make? It must be like you can buy a very specific build of a mech? But, even then, the amount of manpower needed to create enough assets to support that system would be massive.
and, if you don't actually get exclusivity, what the hell is the point of the NFT system? The real-world trading aspect? We don't have the social infrastructure for people to go out and just do transactions with NFTs.
Hmm are you saying something to the like of The West cannot imitate the east when it comes to the mech genre. Well. I somewhat agree. Mechas in Japan have simply been looking great for decades. Very deep and interesting designs. Designs that withhold so much depth and detail. Gundam, Marc Ross, and there's literally an overwhelming large mass of content from anime film manga. And everything else to really name I would say. It's a lot and it's been going on for a long time but in my opinion. The west has pretty much been stuck in the past when it comes to that genre. It's cool but there's not as much effort when it comes to it. I mean Transformers is Japanese Inspired and that and Power Rangers which.... again originated in the east as Kamen Rider and something else . So idk..im not naming everything because I don't know it all. But I mean most of thwt is true. Even films like Iron Giant had that generic tin can robot look. So I mean when it comes to Innovating designs and taking things seriously I think The east wins that. Even if I go beyond mechas the fantasy is deeper and more sophisticated. Its not just some strong guy with a cape who is Infinitly strong its Monkey Kings who can shape-shift who have fought God's and dome all these insane feats in a detailed way. Each country is different and has an entirely unique way of thinking as well.
@@rhyssuy8361 I'm basically saying that Gundam failed to gain traction here in the West. Although Gundam Wing was popular on Toonami back in 2000, Bandai quickly killed it by bringing the outdated original Gundam series aka Gundam 0079.I rally wish Gundam was recognised as Evangelion and Code Geass, which did a better job at marketing, and is easier for newer viewers to get into.
Think of it this way, A good Mech for in game use may cost you the same amount of real life money as a Used Car, and there is likely no way to enjoy the game until you buy that mech as it will likely start you out in something that can't perform, in an area of space that you can not earn money in. In all likely hood, players will be buying their capitol ships as well, and eventually the planets. Players who own those things will be able to charge players what ever they want to provide services, like shuttling them from place to place, or even charging taxes and fees on hunting locations on worlds they own. In other words, it's shitty Capitalisms. Most true players have learned there lessons about this kind of thing and stay away from it, so chances are this game will fail.

Me: "Good effing luck"
Him: "NFTs"
Me: *gone*
If Bandai/Namco just used a game engine like this and convince Sunrise to just write a story that would just be on the game, while designing a lot of mobile suits for said game including gunpla kits as if it were a TV show, we can finally have a really good Gundam game the way Zone of the Enders was supposed to be.
I just saw that the discord server for the game was hacked and started to sent fake links. It feels ironic that a game with unstable monetization system didn’t keep their own discord server safe.
Some Warframe arch wing vibes during space combat
Come on! This is the second game today that I’ve seen involving nfts and block-chain bs.
Same, I really am disappointed as soon as he mentioned NFTs. The game will basically be populated by botted miners and rarely any actual players.
@@Suesserto_000 I hope NFT’s in gaming don’t take off like battle royals.
@@fuzzlewuzzle9388 In the here and now, these NFT games look and feel like scams. But in the future, it's anyone's guess. People are really hyping up this whole metaverse "Player Ready One" fantasy.
But I am with you on the sentiment. I really don't want this invading any of the games I like.
@@allthatishere A great video about this whole idea was about another game called Star Atlas. A youtuber by the name of BigfryTv reacted to a video by Bluedrake about it. It also mentioned NFT’s, definitely worth watching.
@@fuzzlewuzzle9388 Yeah I've heard of it, I'll check it out!
Thank you for showing this, if it weren't for the NFTs I'd likely be hyped for it and doing all the research I could on this.
Can't wait for the battle royale update where you get to use your NFTs against other people's NFTs to see who's non-fungible token is better.
Interesting. Honestly this is the first time I've considered an NFT purchase. Better than the over priced 8bit images and mine craft blocks that are out there now. I'm actually hopeful that there are more integrated block chain features like play to earn to offset the costs and build hype. Definitely gonna follow this.
True
if you really want NFT game, then Axie infinity is the first choice, I mean the game is like the first NFT game
non refundable token
Every RUclipsr when it releases:
“How to make💰💯”
The idea of locking gear behind this is not good, people will exploit this and lock players behind a paywall.
I will be keeping my eye on this and an ear open, for if they either drop the NFTs model or self regulate in an intelligent way (i.e. prevent bot grind spam and "China Labor Drones")... this could potentially be an **okay** place holder for Armored Core... would kinda love to see a game hit mainstream to the extent that FROMSOFTWARE would feel like they are missing out on a Mech game of all things.
Greed ruins games.
You do realize the nft blockchain tech is allowing you to actually own the shit you buy right?
@@fillerbunnyninjashark271 And that makes you a prime target for hackers to use various zero day and exploits to find and steal from you.
Crypto has no insurance that you won't be stolen from.
They're going to find some way to run it into the ground. Every time something that looks as great and ambitious as this, it turns into a dumpster fire. Complete with the phrase "every choice you make will ripple across *x*." and NFTs. If they want to monetize it they should just use either the buy to play model, or subscriptions instead of trying to scam people.
The fact that you can play as the pilot is what I have been longing for all this time
(Aside from titanfall and mecha champions) haha
Then you should play xenoblade chronicles X. Thats the best mecha rpg around. Its on wii u yes, but if u got a good pc, and look for an emulator that works suuuuper good right now.... Well..... 😆
@@123nicanor haha thanks for the recommendation
This is actually the type of NFTs I've been looking forward to. Not the crappy 8bit/gifs/art that are currently for sale at OpenSea.
This gives me Fall of Cybertron feels. One of my favorite games
FUCK YEAH!
HELL YEAH
Glad I saw this before the Harmony Gold lawsuit.
Why can’t it just be a single player
Because they would make near no money, have you seen all the big shots that are coming? God of War 5, BOTW 2, Bayonetta 3, Elden Ring, etc. ? This would easily be swept aside, even tho it is sick
Single player games don’t make as much money, doesn’t mean they can’t have a single player game mode.
Every game doesn't need single-player
@@CephlonMayngrum but it is a nice option

God damned NFTs. People are so willing to burn the world for a bit of money that doesn't exist.
Ohhhh, Just gonna write this one off, the whole NFT thing sounds like a clusterfuck waiting to happen.
Yep.
As a Mech Specialist Enthusiast, I'm very interested in the developments of this game and the use effects of NFTs
They can make the excuse that they’re trying to create an immersive economy within the game. But you know they can do that with.. NOT real money lol
@@SavorySoySauce Although that is true, that could also mean you can get rich off your gaming habits too
If it works how i think it works then this seems like if No Man's Sky and Macross had a baby, this will be it.
I was very interested, until they mentioned NFT's. The thing really hangs by a thread with all the different scams going around.
I see Armored Core 6 really moved waves in the scene! I am very glad the mech genre is apparently going though a rennaissance!
I didn't know NFT stood for No Fun Today, but here I am learning new things.
Lol
Check out M.A.S.S builder
@@agagrondarkmoon1578 looks cool! Might have to look more into it
@@daveyfgn its a fun game very customization focused like armored core
Nft sounds .... Ready player one type fire ill give it a shot
Who says it'll be RNG based? What if you could just buy them and the store rotated
As a deprived Armored Core fan, this looks absolutely incredible.
They had me in the first half.
I’d totally play it if it’s just a good ol mmo with mechs but the NFTs stuff throws me off.
Me: "this games looks so sick!!!"
Mathchief: "This game will be free to play with purchasable items"
Me: "nevermind"
Mans hears free to play + the most basic mechanic in free to play and just fucking dies
R.I.P
That robot is soooo big and sooooo entertain!... but how was the fire sounded like? it was like ;"Pew pew pew pew pew"
Dude, please...
Watching that space fight make me remember that when I'm a kid I used to play the robot space fight on PS1 but I can't remember what is the game's name
Probably no one know, but this remind me Armored Core
Hurts to think that you are correct, huge fan of Silent Line, AC3, and For Answer. But IMO, this made me think of Daemon X Machina more than AC.
This reminds me of the ps2 days when Odd-ball mech games were common. Now its all open world military shooters. Im Excite!
it's looking dope man!!!!!, in other way if the game uses NFT then wont be on Steam, Steam very clearly said they wont allow any sort of NFT or similar in their platform, shame for this one
I used to like gundam a lot back in middle school. If I were still there right now I’d be gushing over this
Bandai just took too damn long to do it.
It can't replace Armored Core but lets take a look
Pyramid scheme: the mech game
I swear if big software houses notice the dumpfire that are NFTs and decide to implement them in their next games we can say goodbye to gaming as a hobby
It's already happening. Ubisoft is trying it
As a person who has been undergoing a raving itch for anything even remotely similar to mechs for years, this seems fun
And that's what they call interoperability now!
Interesting I guess I got a part time job next year
Looked like the perfect game... until NFT...
There's M.A.S.S Builder if you want an indie version. Fully customizable weapons and mech appearance.

I totally agree.
I don't trust NFTs. I'll be watching skeptically.
Robot form in combat definitely was inspired by that old arcade game "Virtual On".
Can't wait to see the meta items be hoarded by players who make this their job. Not a fan of nfts
Yep and bots too.

I was so happy, until you said MMO. I'm out.
I actually like mmos, it’s the NFTs that rub me the wrong way.
Gundam pilots go skreeeee
Transformers guys go haiyaaa

how can you just buy a game asset?
This is literally Gundam Battle Operations with better graphics
And faster
That's exactly what the game needs
And Crypto.
FINALLY someone is making the RoboTech Macross game that I can't seem to find the time to make for myself. YES!!!!
Really goes to show the cultural failure that is the Gundam franchise in the West.
Cultural failure gundam is a lot of things but i'm pretty sure failure is not one of them can you explain what you mean
Gundam needs to make a game exactly like helldivers 2 but with ps3 Warhawk controls
I am sold. Been needing a mech space fighting game for a while
Think of it this way, A good Mech for in game use may cost you the same amount of real life money as a Used Car, and there is likely no way to enjoy the game until you buy that mech as it will likely start you out in something that can't perform, in an area of space that you can not earn money in.
The red wingman unit looks like the Savior Gundam build by ZAFT in the Cosmic Era timeline.
Oh no...You said 'Transformers' despite the mechs themselves resembling more like a Gundam instead. Typical American's.
Does he sound American??
Not American at all!!!!!
macross/armored core/gundam in a galaxy scale? whoaaaa
Looks like it's based off a old anime called Macross. Gundam and Macross was my favorite Mech anime growing up.
It looks like an expanded, Strike Suit Zero. That game was pretty sik.
Gundam + Transformers (+ Titanfall) = THIS AWESOME GAME!!!!
Gundam Battle Operations take notes.
nft is not a weird feature to add, its called innovation.
