Great troubleshooting for the electrical system, thanks 👍
Thanks always a great help to know the ohm readings having some trouble right now with it cheers
The coil resistance on your good coil is 7.27 thousand Ohms. You are on the 20kOhm range on the meter.
Nice job👍
nice video . 👍
Ah, perfect timing. I suspect I'm having electrical problems myself and I wasn't quite sure how to test. Thank you for this! ??? As far as I can tell my carb is good and my fuel delivery is good but the engine slowly dies unless I put all my weight into cranking it over with the peddles and the kill switch does not seem to work. Any thoughts?
I’m having the same problem did you ever find out the issue??
@@tylergoins2026 I'm sorry. I did not. I chalked it up to a defective China Doll ('cause it's obviously not user error lol jk) and simply bought a more reliable model. Problem solved. lol Keeping the old one for spare parts.
Shouldn’t you test the two leads of the CDI?
I suspect I have electrical issues as well and it seems like my carb and fuel delivery is ok, my bike runs then dies, it used to idle but now it can’t even idle it just dies, any thoughts?
Witam z Polski bardzo fajny kanał i porady więc dałem suba i łapkę w górę miłego dnia pozdrawiam
My CDI is testing 5.8. Is that strong enough? Coil is running 3.8.
1000 thx our conseil
Your using hi compression heads on everything ive seen you play with, wouldnt your bigger plug gap make sense with those heads? What about people using stock lower compression heads? Should they also be using such a larger gap? Asking because ive seen other reputable builders using a much tighter gap with basic china dolls right out of the box with stock heads and less compression. Using like .o25 to .o30 etc.
Thank you for mentioning that. My stock set up runs great with a .028 gap. .035 gets weak.
So the cdi that tested as bad at 12 ohms, is that a for sure bad cdi? Did you try it on a bike and it failed??? Cause your bb super cdi tested OVER 8 and you say thats super good, ok fine, but why would 12 be way over bad and you said nothing about it in real world circuit? Like did you actuslly try it? If so did the bile run at 12 ohms? You literally threw it aside like it was gospel bad, but was it really? You didnt elaborate so im wondering if your super bb unit you trsted was at 9.2 ohms would that have been ok? Again were yhese tested in circuit and try running the bike.

What I was told that if your magneto gets wet and you pretty much break it because I got wet there’s no fixing it. Is it possible to just replace the magneto and fix it that way?
Yes, but a new one
@@doongies6640 dis you mean buy?

@@gunbuster333SMSTI yes, let me know if it works
I have AA POWERED LIghts ON MY BIKE. And they turn off when the motor turns on. What can I do ?
Duct tape the batteries
I just checked my coil and cdi. The coil was 328 ohms. However the cdi tested at 6.72 mega ohms so that means the cdi is bad.
Cdi should be between 6 & 8 from what bb said, how is 6.72 bad?????
@@rodneygagnon9381 because it's 6.72 mega ohms not ohms. I use a better meter mine floats. I looked real close and it said mega, which like a 6 million more ohms than need. Anyway ran with a new one for 20 yards and the free wheel went bad.
