First one is one of my faves... remember it from my time there in the early 80s... they're actually called Rellenitos and it's a sweet plantain paste stuffed with sweetened refried beans. It's delicious when you add cream to it. INCREDIBLE! The cabbage topping on the Pupusa is actually called Curtido (Coorteedoh) which I am not crazy about when it's spicy. Those pea looking peppers in the background when just before that dude bites the pepper are called Chiltepes. They're not super hot (they are for me) but my most vivid memory of them is hanging out with a couple of Kaibiles and they were snacking on these like they were M&M's. All I could do was sit there with my mouth agape at how easily they just popped them by the handful without any real reaction to it. We were drinking Gallo beer... crazy. The sandwich is actually pronounced Shoo-koh, which is a slang term for Dirty. That sandwich in particular was just getting traction when I was there, I'm sure the recipe has developed over time.
Some of the buildings are really neat. Those fruits look so much better than the fruit we have here. Great vlog today. I hope you have an amazing Sunday
Another great one! Here's my best shot at a closer for you. "Arrive hungry, leave filled and enjoy the world on a dish" :) or on a plate. I was never the creative or quippy one. Lol. Love these videos Dāv

The “salad” on the pupusas is called CURTIDO in Guatemala. Ask the people you buy it from, the other guy doesn’t seem to know a lot of things but doesn’t ask either.
Sabes que si es cierto bro Que en Guatemala se vive las raices ancestrales en cambio en otros paises & de diferentes culturas se ponen el traje para darte el show & luego se van a cambiar de atuendo
1. Not you immediately touching food after petting a street dog 2. The kid looked at you like you don’t know how to have fun when you took the knife away 😂
The chicharrones you tasted might not have been very good because they didn't have the pork fat. There are different types of chicharrones; some are fatless. In my opinion, the best ones have a lot of fat and meat.
Its call "RELLENITOS", not rellanitos.. and we put regular sugar or brown sugar, not a "sugar cane candy". Also, the cabbage mix with the pupusa is call "CURTIDO", not gordito XD Pollo (chicken) and Gallina (hen) are totally different, the flavor, texture, consistency, even the amount of meat. I don't know why your "guide" (daniel) cant explain it correctly whenever someone ask something, just throws a random answer... The shuko they prepare you, is terrible. Not authentic at all. By rule, everything should be cooked on the grill (the meats, bread, etc), nobody use butter to prepare it, and they missed the chimichurri on that shuko. Also, Pepian is a mixture of spices (cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, etc); chilis (chile pasa, chile guaque); and other ingredients like tomatoes, onions, garlic. We don't use "molcajete", that's mexican, we just blend it all like a normal person would. Leaving aside all those mistakes, and your sarcastic humor, thanks for visiting my country. We hope next time you try better food in better places and at least do a better research or get a guide.
muy interesante lo qe hacen amigos, no se de qe paiz sean pero les agradesco mucho por venir a mi paiz y promocionar a nivel mundial mi qerido paiz. Dios los bendiga y hasta luego
