I'm happy Jack seemed to pick this up quickly. Besides Doom, he generally doesn't like FPS games, nor does he like losing, so I was worried it might make him moody. But it turned out well! Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, which made this an enjoyable Let's Play.

Its so cool watching a video of a game I haven't played, technically, but be able to have an accurate mental map of where everyone was in both the Complex and Facility (thus far), but if only three of you guys had played Goldeneye, you guys should definitely do a video of the XBLA Perfect Dark that was originally a 64 title like this was.
I wasn't allowed to play M or T rated games as a kiddo. Although I did get to try Golden Eye's single player at one point. I died very quickly and as soon as my parents saw the blood on the game over screen they asked me to stop playing. But for me and my friends, oddly enough, our split screen shooter we played a ton was Halo: Combat Evolved. So much fun! :) Looking back at it, I don't think a one thumbstick multiplayer shooter would ever be much fun, having played them with two sticks all my life. :(

That moonraker laser! My friends all had PS1 but I loved my N64. The split screen cheating on a 20inch tv, the weird controller and the Rumble Pak! It was video game perfection.
:) brings back fond memories. I'd like to see AH play with proximity mines though, was my favourite, and the best when you've got a good group. Set all weapons and ammo as proximity mines, then watch the carnage. Inevitably, people just wander around putting mines on everything, lots of death, lots of paranoia. The feeling you get when you respawn into a room with mines on the wall, floor, ceiling, and doors, and can't move without setting them off, is one I'll never forget.
I was only 2 when the original came out on N64 and I played it a lot in the late 90's, early 2000's and still holds up as a fantastic game. Some of the N64 games are still so good now, Mario Party 2, Goldeneye, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and loads more I never even had like Mario Kart and Mario 64

D5K Deutche= HK MP5 (possibly MP5k) Of course the Uzi in unmistakable Can't remember the M16A1's name in the game Anyways, it fascinated me as I learned that each of the firearms in 007: Goldeneye were actual firearms in real life. Possibly one of the reasons why I came to have a passion for them. Edit: 12:35 NO SHIT?! I CALLED IT FRY-GATE AS WELL! A friend of mind I think suggested it's called 'frig-it', but that sounded like a curse, I didn't want to use it. Frig is often used as a curse in Newfoundland. "Frig it." "Frig that.", though it wasn't used in the same manner as Fuck. "Frig you", "Friggin Hell", and "Frig off" just sounds like a child's attempt at swearing without using TOO bad of a swear. Edit 2: Yeah, I remember the Klobb being the worst firearm in the game, legit. It did the least amount of damage it seemed, it had no penetration, and its rate of fire was utterly unimpressive, while it seemed to also have even more spread than pistols, meaning it was inherently VERY inaccurate. As for the real life vZ.68 or whatever counterpart, it fired 9x18 Makarov which was a round that was a little weaker than 9x19. Lighter bullet, and I think less velocity. As far as accuracy goes, I don't know how it performed, it indeed had a very short barrel which means very little velocity. It WOULD have an insane rate of fire but I think there's a mechanism built into the grip of the SMG that slows that rate of fire to make it more controllable. Ultimately, I doubt it's as bad IRL as it is in the game. The Walther PPK IRL has 7 or 8 round mags, as I recall. 8 rounds for .32 Auto, and 7 rounds for .380. .380 is probably comparable to 9x18, possibly even weaker, so technically, the Walther PPK (PP7) should probably be weaker than the Klobb, but this is not the case. I also recall reading in the instruction manual a firearm called the Skorpion. Or was it on the back of the box? Either way, I wondered for AGES what that firearm was. There was a picture of the Klobb, but that's called the Klobb, right? Apparently at the last minute I think there was copywrite issues, so they changed it over, but didn't have time to alter the instruction manual/box art. Correct me if I'm wrong. Too bad there's no M1911 in the game, but I think Goldeneye isn't based in the US at all, not sure if he even goes to that country. As much as I love the M1911, there's not a WHOLE lot of love for it outside of the States, but there is some. Canadian here, and my first firearm was a Springfield Armoury M1911A1 Mil Spec. John Moses Browning was a God among men, well ahead of his time. Also, M1 Rifle (Garand) was designed by a man born in Canada, so neener neener. Edit 3: I believe the ZMG is the UZI, and the UZI is an Israeli design, like the Desert Eagle and Jericho, as well as GALIL. Also, by the way, no, I am not looking anything up as I typed this comment and these edits.

Anyways, it fascinated me as I learned that each of the firearms in 007: Goldeneye were actual firearms in real life. Possibly one of the reasons why I came to have a passion for them.

12:35 NO SHIT?! I CALLED IT FRY-GATE AS WELL! A friend of mind I think suggested it's called 'frig-it', but that sounded like a curse, I didn't want to use it. Frig is often used as a curse in Newfoundland. "Frig it." "Frig that.", though it wasn't used in the same manner as Fuck. "Frig you", "Friggin Hell", and "Frig off" just sounds like a child's attempt at swearing without using TOO bad of a swear.

Yeah, I remember the Klobb being the worst firearm in the game, legit. It did the least amount of damage it seemed, it had no penetration, and its rate of fire was utterly unimpressive, while it seemed to also have even more spread than pistols, meaning it was inherently VERY inaccurate.
As for the real life vZ.68 or whatever counterpart, it fired 9x18 Makarov which was a round that was a little weaker than 9x19. Lighter bullet, and I think less velocity. As far as accuracy goes, I don't know how it performed, it indeed had a very short barrel which means very little velocity. It WOULD have an insane rate of fire but I think there's a mechanism built into the grip of the SMG that slows that rate of fire to make it more controllable. Ultimately, I doubt it's as bad IRL as it is in the game. The Walther PPK IRL has 7 or 8 round mags, as I recall. 8 rounds for .32 Auto, and 7 rounds for .380. .380 is probably comparable to 9x18, possibly even weaker, so technically, the Walther PPK (PP7) should probably be weaker than the Klobb, but this is not the case.
I also recall reading in the instruction manual a firearm called the Skorpion. Or was it on the back of the box? Either way, I wondered for AGES what that firearm was. There was a picture of the Klobb, but that's called the Klobb, right? Apparently at the last minute I think there was copywrite issues, so they changed it over, but didn't have time to alter the instruction manual/box art. Correct me if I'm wrong. Too bad there's no M1911 in the game, but I think Goldeneye isn't based in the US at all, not sure if he even goes to that country. As much as I love the M1911, there's not a WHOLE lot of love for it outside of the States, but there is some. Canadian here, and my first firearm was a Springfield Armoury M1911A1 Mil Spec. John Moses Browning was a God among men, well ahead of his time. Also, M1 Rifle (Garand) was designed by a man born in Canada, so neener neener.
