The in-game start date for the episode is still unclear. Sam’s gas can says “Smoking is Cool” with a picture of FCG smoking. Sam later adds “For robot’s, NOT KIDS”
So, my understanding is that the actor and writer strike in the US shouldn’t effect the main show or LoVM (LoVM season 3 is probably already written, and TV animation isn’t part of the strike). The Mighty Nein show might not be written yet, though, so my guess is it might get delayed Regardless, though, stand with actors and writers, they’re the ones who make the things we love to watch.
Any moments I missed? Feel free to post them here. Is it Thursday yet?

Ashton asking Milo if their meds are arcane absolutely destroyed me, Taliesin you legend
I snorted. Milo is me when I forget my meds lol
After learning that Laura and Marisha were trying to portray Imogen & Laudna as a strong platonic relationship, it's pretty funny to realize the common sentiment surrounding the 'can I kiss you' moment being 'no one is immune to Laura Bailey romance' in fact includes Laura Bailey herself. This is the character taking over the player gold lmao.
Would have been nice if they kept going with that. Feels like popular media these days have forgotten those exist.
@@Cultureghost I agree with you there. In the rare cases where strong platonic friendships do exist, fans try to find ways to argue that it's sexual. I'm not surprised by this twist, but I'm slightly disappointed.
i loved their platonic relationship; this feels worse than the betrayal from bor'dor and dusk combined and doubled, and wrapped with some from usagi drop.
@@ribbitiribbit Eh, I wouldn't go nearly that far personally. While I'm not a huge fan of how it turned out, it was still expected. Not a big betrayal like Bor'dor or a terrible writing choice like Usagi Drop.
@@joshhaworth2155maybe i'm just dense, but i've always seen them as vex and vax, so that scene was really horrifying. i liked laudna's older sister look younger sister vibe with imogen, and i was shipping her with someone else, too.
You do not decide whether or not your character is romanace-able.
LAURA BAILEY decides whether or not your character is romanance-able.
When an unstoppable force meets an object
(not an immovable object, just an object)
I like that she tried to create a character that is above that nonsense. Sadly, we're dragged back down to the silliness.
And that answer will always be Yes where Laura is concerned
That’s what Marisha gets for playing a Warlock. Laura always goes for the warlocks.
@@brentrichards1200how does romance that is barely relevant silly?
I love watching Ashley clutching her stuffed critter through the “good” scenes. She’s got front row seats.
her faces, too! so good. hiding behind mister looking worried when it looks like things might be heading for a rejection, and then re-emerging with a pleased smile. you can always tell just how invested she is in the story they're all telling, it's so great. i fondly remember ashley looking by turns enchanted and like the cat that ate the canary when they were visiting grandma morri, especially paired with everyone else looking absolutely horrified
I love that she is as big of a fan as we are haha
She's such a sweetheart! The BEST thing about C3 is having her here full time!
Matt's immediate "GOD NO!" when Sam offered to describe That Scene needs to be appreciated
Like, come on, Sam! He's never done that before. At least not between players. He's done it between NPCs, but he lets the players have their scene.

I have been loving Marisha as Laudna this campaign, but the way she came into this episode *HOT* changed the _entire_ dynamic for this reunion in such a magnificent way! It would have been very easy to just be like, "we're all together again, hooray" and everyone basically just pick up the group where it left off, but Marisha made the active decision to make things more emotional and complex than they needed to be (in a way that made sense for her character) and I personally found it incredible to watch.
Like she said on 4 Sided Dive. It's fun to complicate the narrative
I loved it
Plus it was hilarious at times
They had this strange chemistry, the characters, since before the episode Laudna dies. I would be mad if they wouldn't romanticise it lol
@@sofiamarques-vu9hb I don't really see the relevance of that to what I said 😅 But I'm glad they're getting together too 🙂
"I am all for faith, and Im not gonna pick a god, they can pick me" is the most legendary punk line from Ashton. I love the moments when Taliesin wants to stand out.
I'm eager to see if a god actually takes up that offer. Surely in the Exandria pantheon ONE of them has to be game for it.
Part of me would love to see Ashton introduced to The Traveler somehow.
@ShireNomad Stormlord might give him an appreciative nod or two. He seems the type to appreciate what Ashton's done with his experience.
Honestly though, Taliesin has always had the best lines throughout each campaign. That one? Has to be the best line EVER SAID in DnD
Man that whole rant was INCREDIBLE and TRUE! If the Gods need help then they have to reach out to get it. You can do what the Dawnfather and Changebringer did and command/intimidate your followers to help you but what about all the people who don't believe in any God?
I feel like Zhudanna ages 10 years every time they go check on her lol
Yeah we were saying that in chat shes like 186 by now 😂😂😂!!!
She’s actually an aracockra and they only live like 20 years so they can’t be leaving her like this
To be fair I recently watched an early episode and she sounded kind of the same. I think we just always forget how old she is. 😂
@@guydoesotherstuffwait she's not a human!??
I'm calling it now, she's the real BBEG. She's just too nice and innocent 😂
Hell yes this episode starts off strong. Team Wildemount showed up in new outfits and the afterglow of group sex. And Laudna comes through the portal like "I just killed someone we thought was our new friend, and the robot got a boyfriend?!"
I love how she was going to defer to ashton and orym to say something but ashton literally said its fine its your turn.
Okay, I know everyone is talking about THE MOMENT.
But I just want to point out that the vision in the Matron’s temple was INCREDIBLE storytelling from Matt. Holy crap that was visceral.
The way the WHOLE table reacted... *ALL* of them were just sucked in at the moment, and then Ashley's quiet "oh my god," Liam just STARING, and Travis-as-Chetney instantly turning serious and asking the priestess, "How can we fight this? How can we help? How can we turn the tide?"
I am DYING to see the fanart of this moment in the Thursday gallery.
I am convinced that given enough campajgns laura will eventually romance every cast member
Sam? :)
I don’t think our hearts could handle a Laura and Liam romance.
@@thaismorton4729 Fuck. I mean, we had half of that in C2. But if they were really into it, that'd be incredible.
And Marisha will eventually be romanced by every cast member, no matter how hard she tries. xD
It's funny Marisha and Laura in all 3 campaigns have had a romance by the end of it all. Wonder who will be the next targets.😅
When Laudna says "I was at the end of my rope, hanging by a thread" ... it hits different, ngl.
Omigod. I didn't make the connection until reading this comment. Holy shit. O.O
the combination of imogen no longer having to fear hearing a thought she wasn’t meant to hear-something jmogen has said has stopped her from pursuing romance in the past- and simultaneity had the assurance that laudna would be open with her and not harbor thoughts that would cause her pain because she cares about her too much, and the simple truth of missing her too damn much, giving imogen the courage to ask for more……. i’ll never be over it and them
The fact she traveled for a week with a bunch of horny idiots in love may also gave her a bit of a push to finaly go for it.
TWTWWR USER ROZECREST,!
I love Liam’s reaction to the grocery shopping. Everyone else is freaking out, but he is just laser focused on the scene his friends are acting out. You can tell in his face how much he loves it. Everyone needs a friend like Liam.
He does that on EVERY romance scene, and I love it. It's a really wholesome detail.
@@andrevieirahyurem287Considering he basically invented romance (In Critical Role) I can see why he's such a fan.
Liam is SUCH a romantic. He is I think the second biggest shipper at the table (right behind Travis, King of Squeeing Into His Soda Can at the First Signs of Romance).

thanks. I actually was confused, because it did kinda seem like Laudna was looking at Imogen as if referencing that Imogen betrayed her.
Thank you! I was trying to make sense of it, interpreting that Laudna meant Imogen also was betrayed, by her mother for example. But I felt I was stretching 😅
Oh that makes way more sense 😂
Yeah she did something with her hands when she say "Yuu". I knew who she meant but I can see how it would be confusing. I almost expected it to go into a joke. Marisha also did something with her hands when she said "Yuu".

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the amazing character development of Ashton these last episodes, and the amazing characterisation of this development by Taliesin
Thank you!! And yes! I swear Ashton’s growth and overall story arc has been flying under the radar all campaign. Don’t get me wrong there’s been plenty of love for them but it does feel disproportionate. Maybe that’s on me though since I love Taliesin’s approach to characters
Can we also appreciate that Orym is having almost the same development, but in reverse? When he said "I don't think I have any hard 'no's anymore," a few episodes ago, I felt that shit.
Little did you know, this isn't character development, and he hasn't changed at all until 3 months from now lol.
Asthon has really quickly become one of my favourite (if not my favourite) Bells Hells member.

I'm absolutely taken aback by how thoroughly splintered the party is at the beginning of this episode. All of their relationships are in some way damaged, their goals unaligned and the communication is so difficult. i'm sure it won't take long to recover, but it's still very impressed what they achieved, narratively
It was pretty wild watching them fighting in the beginning considering how ride or die Bells Hells normally are
@@samuelstensgaard4828 Didn't really seem like a fight to be honest. More just very stressed out people venting while others very quickly understood thats what it was and being supportive. It bears mentioning that team Wildemount had combat encounters in every single episode AND had more episodes than the other group.
Feels like they as a whole have been a group of broken people. Like they all have trauma and adding to it for the betterment of the world. Just my five cent observation. These characters seem more grounded in that way. Maybe I'm wrong, but there has been some under the surface at times.

Keyleth will always have a special place in our hearts, and Beau is cool, but damn, Marisha has gone to another level with Laudna. Since the beginning, it was a special character with so many layers, but all the development and arches she'd come through is just amazing. Also, the acting and roleplaying of Marisha is simply astonishing, every episode she gives everything she has. She deserves all the compliments.
From the first time Nervous Laudna pulled on her own hair, eyes wide, I was a little in love.
Beau remains my favorite for her wonderful development and how grounded her struggles were. Plus on a meta level I kinda love how Marisha responded to so much vitriolic harassment over Keyleth not by making a quiet crowd pleaser but by making an angry abrasive asshole and turning her into a lot of peoples favorite by the end.
Laudna’s right up there though. She’s got such strong characterization and personality just like Beau had but unlike Beau, Laudna’s really been able to dive into her backstory which has given us additional lenses to see her character through. Beau’s backstory sadly kinda got glossed over.
Marisha is the most improved player since they started streaming, and this character suits her better than either Keyleth or Beau did.
beau is a lot more than just “cool”

Laura played the gay pining so freaking well. It was obvious from episode 1, and I was LIVING for it. I’m so happy. When Laudna said, “I kiss her again,” as confirmation, you can see the entire table breathe a sigh of relief and happiness. Amazing chemistry from everyone.
I dunno man. I remember Twitter going nuts about how problematic the Fjord/Jester relationship was and that was only a 10 year gap. Laudna has been dead longer than Imogen has been alive. Sooo of the Fjord and Jester relationship was problematic then this one DEFINITELY is. Made even more so by the fact that Laudna is dead. That's...kind of gross.

If one being older and "dead" is a problem, adiós vampire romances and all. Adiós werewolves too, bc that would be bestiality? What's to say abt Chet then, being 200 years older than Fearne and doing it in his wolf form?

It was a beautiful moment the last part of Ashton’s ramble I just wanted FCG to say I love you too Ashton.
Big moment for Imogen to be able get a taste of what “normal” people in “normal” relationships go through. Not being sure what’s okay or what’s too far, because she couldn’t read her mind. She had to talk and trust like a regular person and that’s something she’s longed for in the background for a long time. To just be normal. Tons of layers and depth from both Laura and Marisha, captivating stuff with a lot to analyze and think about. Well done!
Anyone else noticed that Marishas description of Laudnas new outfit sounds a hell of a lot like a Delilah Briarwood outfit?
I did think she might be subtly decking Laudina out like old Necromancer mc Bitchface. Subtly hinting that she hasn't actually ever been fully gone and that she might actually be more in charge than we think now

I am so hoping that Orym gets SOME kind of happy reunion with his family next episode, and I genuinely think we're going to see him break down and cry, apologizing to Keyleth for everything that happened to her.

Hey Marisha, thanks for making me cry in the first 18 minutes of the episode.
Over the past three campaigns, she has become one of my very favorite role players. I have felt the way she depicted Laudna has felt before; it really got to me.

THAT was what I remembered best from this episode. Don't get me wrong, yay for Imodna finally getting their act together, but I was *ALL* about that scene in the temple.
I was about to press pause and take a break but this scene started and I just stood there, flabbergasted.
Watching the Laudna/Imogen scene was amazing! 🥰 However I definitely recommend rewatching to see the others reactions. Sam completely blue screened when Laudna agreed and Ashley was every critter everywhere, so invested.
it was _very_ unexpected!
Ashley's reaction to anything Laudna/Imogen has been just as entertaining as the pairing. haha
Ashley's sigh of relief when Laudna reciprocated back after their deep talk, if that wasn't us all!

The way he actively bunched up his kigurumi so he'd have something to hold onto/hide behind, then realized what it looked like and immediately was like "why the fuck did i do that?". fantastic.

What's Laudna's corpse mouth taste like?
I love how no one is a bigger fan of Laura's romances than Travis is. He gets so much joy out of watching his wife play romance with literally everyone else so far. Even when it was him, he was all giddy.
Travis is THE biggest shipper at the table, and not just Laura's. When Beau and Yasha FINALLY got together in C2, the last thing we hear in the episode is Travis cheering, "Y'ALL HOOKED UP!" Every time, the big man is just squeeing into his soda can, and it's a beautiful thing.
I’ll never get the pure power of his reaction when Vex popped up in the bathtub in campaign 1. No one could’ve been more hype than him
Fearne is the MVP of all her last battles, she became such a reliable character ! 🥰
Druids: if they don't have the right spells prepared (Ashley now has well over 100 to pick 14 from every long rest) and if they're not confident enough to commit their Wild Shape uses they can seem useless (or even worse than useless). But once things start to click, and if everything works out, they can be spectacular. We had the same with Keyleth; encounters where it seemed she couldn't do anything, encounters where she saved the day. I'm glad Ashley is getting to flex her druid mechanics, as well as her great role playing.
"You're skipping some of the bad shit..." absolutely killed me.

@@thetransientone6254 Oh, there's definitely something fishy.

And then I realized something about myself, again in a good and not negative kinda way, that I've been a fan since around the middle of C1, and I've also grown a lot older. Both in years and in spirit.
CR is just a show where people play D&D. That's true. But what's also just as true is that it's a found family living and growing together. And something that we can as viewers take part in as individuals and as a group.
Don't forget to love each other.

Also Laudna is dead so this is creepy. I am all for queer love and matching, but the age thing and the fact that one is literally a decomposing corpse makes this relationship SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER problematic.
@@thetransientone6254 You do know this is a fantasy world? Comparing a hollow one to a real world corpse is absurd -- Laudna can clearly consent, have emotions, she's sentient, so on. A little suspension of disbelief can really heighten enjoyment of a storyline.
As for the age difference, Imogen is 28, not a child while Laudna is physically also her late 20s. The age difference argument can be dismissed out of hand.
