People have said even though he’s small it’s one of the most painful finishers. For them AND him. It’s just dead uncontrolled weight
@@phenombastm211 Hardy's finisher is controlled to some degree to alleviate some of the damage.
What DARBY'S doing however is basically just uncontrollable dead weight, hence the name "Coffin Drop" he's letting all of his weight do the work and is landing on his back every single time he does it. Jeff can at least be _caught_ by his opponents.
So in retrospect yes, it IS dumb. You think what happened to Chris Benoit was some freak accident? His brain got fucked up because the WWE didn't stop him from using the Diving Headbutt which was just deadweight and him *falling* on the front of his head. The 'Coffin Drop' is just like that, except Darby's falling on not only his spine but the BACK of his head.
AEW is basically the attitude era but with different wrestlers and more bloody than ever

And whenever they mentioned wwf or wcw it's was almost like breaking the 4th wall because they rarely did it. Even wwf mentioned WCW at times during the wars. But aew does it EVERY. TIME .

How are Darby and Sammy still walking or alive in some cases … thank you for what you did and do but please stop doing those bumps so often
There’s about 100 moves that made this list because they went terribly wrong and men/women were inches if not centimeters or millimeters away from career ending or worst injuries
The gimmick glass, staplers and barb wire stuff are one thing and will create scars but the super high up, the ring apron, in ring to floor with no bumper, side of steps, on/thru ladder etc etc should either be used sparingly or not at all
I mean just to prove a point one that doesn’t look bad due to scale is the standing Spanish fly to Roderick strong that damn near left him with a broke neck, both are lucky it didn’t
And I love wrestling, I have ever since the mid 80’s and first seeing nwa tv on a Saturday night and from there I was hooked but theirs so many ways to tell a story that doesn’t need a ton of luck to secure safety
