Why is it every time Daigo loses people make excuses for him lol? If Daigo can accept a clean loss why can't his fanboys? Instead they resort to A. Make fun of Wong's weight B. Claim Ryu to be bottom tier [Even though Daigo and Tokido consistently place well] C. Bitch about tournaments being 2/3 D. Make excuses about Daigo being tired, bored, sandbagging ect. as seen in the comments below. Daigo can lose, he's lost before hell he even lost to Phenom's Bison just a week before, we know how great he is but there are other great players out there too you know. I have no issue with Daigo but his fans are the worst of the worst
kao han Vwj Better overall it doesn't but better during that set yes. 2/3 in a tournament setting is fine and Wong outplayed Daigo it was clear as day he did. If Daigo won this set the 2/3 excuse wouldn't be brought up for Wong now would it? Also FT5's don't always mean the person is better ether, if someone loses 4-5 in a FT5 that doesn't automatically mean the person who won is better ether. Also, trying to compare the this to an NFL game isn't going to work. Teams don't always make adjustments during halftime they also do it DURING the game. 2/3 format has been the standard forever but is only a problem now when a fan favorite loses.
+Roman¢e True, when Daigo defeats people in 2/3 games no one would make excuse about the game being too short, instead fanboys say his opponents are exposed, fraud, etc. it is normal for a person to lean toward a specific player, but certain fanboys on the Internet is just ridiculous.
I personally prefer best of 7 rounds. Reminds me of the NBA playoffs and its always fun coming back from down 3-1 to win in 7 rounds or winning 4 straight after losing the first 2 rounds against my inferior gameplaying friends.
Although I absolutely love watching Justin's Menat, his Karin is on point. I could spend a whole paragraph on the first game, but from just a fundamentals standpoint, I love how his turtle style frustrated Daigo enough to mash out a DP at 2:38.
Gave away? So when it hits it's an "umeshoryu" "psychic DP" or whatever, but when it whiff it's always "giving away" or "input error".... And the second round... He dashed forward, a 16F hard to react dash, and Justin just was ready for it, very few things at that distance would hit other than her HK... He got out played, ppl can't seem to grasp this concept. And in this game he is getting outplayed constantly. Damn I hate fanboys...
I was at evo saw diago in person , hes a short person, I can't believe he just walks around the room thru the vendors like a normal person ,I would of though everyone would be asking for a autograph
had diago practice with another character, he probably would have one, but he plays ryu so much and uses the same moves that he becomes predictable, this is where justin wong took advantage of learning a new character and becoming unpredictable. He definitely earned that win.
Its clear that in SFV Ryu's parrying ability isn't the same as it is in 3rd Strike. Daigo's a beast doing parries in SF III. But here in SFV where it works differently he couldn't truly rely on parrying (he didn't attempt using it), which kinda cost him i think. Both of them are great players so the match overall was good. Seeing as they have rivalries year in and out at Evo anyhow!
EVO Moment #37. Daigo statue. It's closer to 3S! OMG, Daigo! 3S was my favorite. It's all about the footsies. SF was never about combos. The game isn't simplified, just git gud. No-one played SFII for arcade mode -- it's all about VS. Story mode is awesome. Online is for scrubs. Online is for hardcore. They made the combos easier to make it more honest, guys. This game is deeper than SFIV! This is my favorite SF; it's just more honest. SFV is like 3S, you can't spam fireballs. Proximity normals suck! Chip KO is cheap, GIT GUD!
Both Daigo and Justin Wong lost in their pre-liminary rounds knocking them to the loser's side brackets. Daigo lost to Tokido, Justin Wong lost to some random Canadian Chun-Li player to put him in that situation.
Yeah there was seeding by region (specifically, cross region seeding, so you're unlikely to play people you know), but yes this is one of the many things that the EvO TOs messed up on. Should have made sure that if these two were to fight that it would have been in top 32 at least.
A lot of top players have tough times during this EVO. Momochi was eliminated during pools, and players like Justin and Tokido, despite managed to defeat Daigo with tough efforts, still cannot make their way into top 8. This is one of the most heartbreaking EVO I've ever seen, glad Infiltration is still consistent as ever.
SFV is completely different, its now much more offensive and combo play. Meanwhile Daigo best at zoning, good timing for super & defensive, not doing him too much favor. So many pros struggle as well, the one that can get through is Infiltration because he always adapt instead stick to one character. Really paid him off
After learning some matchup with Karin I would not say it is an unnecessary action. Her pokes are quite difficult to be whiff punished by Ryu and DP is a fair bet when he can instantly close out the game if it hits. Prop for Justin for being patience though, a lot of Karin with mass buttons in that situation.
Justin clearly had better footsies than Daigo. Justin's positioning and pokes were better than Daigo's. Daigo would sometimes uppercut and Justin would punish it. Justin decided to play defensively and Daigo couldn't adapt, that's why he lost. When Daigo and Justin fought in SF5 for the first time a while back, Justin also beat Daigo. After watching their progress I would definitely say Justin Wong > Daigo in SF5 so far.
7:29 that moment when Jwong was like: "I prevented another 3rd Strike moment, thank you god"
When daigo got put to 1 pixel hp, i started listening to the crowd for "LETS GO JUSTIN"
Winning or losing, Daigo always looks emotionless and Justin always looks worried lol
This comment had me giggling
You need to see the umvc3 evo 2014, Justin literally die of happiness. im Sorry if my english Is bad
2 great players. No shame in Daigo losing
It's two games. This kinda stuff happens. What matters, is being consistent. Daigo is consistent.
+Skeptic Gamer like honestly, if Evo was nothing but ft5 or 10's Daigo would never lose. I really feel he's too strong in sets.
+The Leaf's hero Facts! In long sets, he's literally a god
Being a tekken player it wouldnt even say long sets since your games are only 2 rounds, tournament as a sf player look damn unforgiving lol
great shame
Best part about this? The enthusiastic sincere handshake at the end from Daigo.
Man, is just so good to see this two playing against each other.
Why are so many people making excuses for Daigo? He lost. People lose at SF. Wtf
+white boy You know all about getting f'd in the a.
Kinda funny, Daigo himself never made any excuse but his fanbase.
daigo is playing a watered down kid friendly version of street fighter,,,,, its not daigo, it's this crappy game...
bunnyfreakz thats because he's a boss, not a whimpering puss like his suckup fanboys
It's not the game or the character. It's Daigo's own fault. Stop making excuses for him. He got outplayed period.
Why is it every time Daigo loses people make excuses for him lol? If Daigo can accept a clean loss why can't his fanboys? Instead they resort to
A. Make fun of Wong's weight
B. Claim Ryu to be bottom tier [Even though Daigo and Tokido consistently place well]
C. Bitch about tournaments being 2/3
2/3 doesn't prove that someone is better than the other. you need a first to 5 to decide that. I don't remember nfl game lasting only 2 quarters.
kao han Vwj Better overall it doesn't but better during that set yes. 2/3 in a tournament setting is fine and Wong outplayed Daigo it was clear as day he did. so true, man. daigos' fans are even worse than daigo himself!!
I personally prefer best of 7 rounds.

"Justin Wong is free" -Daigo
RIP aizen
David Hayn but if he have hole in the ass he cannot survive
He was mainly talking about SF 4
this is one of those fights that i dont know who to root for
Although I absolutely love watching Justin's Menat, his Karin is on point. I could spend a whole paragraph on the first game, but from just a fundamentals standpoint, I love how his turtle style frustrated Daigo enough to mash out a DP at 2:38.
I started to have flashbacks at 7:15.
I know right?! Daigo the king of parry lol
desseler4 Sadly Justin is never going to do the same stupid thing again. No one would ever risks to chip Ryu due to the new parry's mercy timing.
@@abc2390986 he did it again
It's always a pleasure to watch this guys in action.
Respect to Justin, excellent player.
Justin: Hey Daigo guess what?
Daigo: What?
Justin: I'm no longer free!
I miss the arcade days. Justin Wong, Sanford Kelly legendary gamers
They are like the geek real-life version of Ryu and Ken.
I wanted Daigo to win :(
yeah me too.
Yeah! Parry-Ryu is funner to watch than easy-hit-confirms Karin, but throughout the set I think Justin played (overall speaking) better than Daigo.
Yeah, probably Justin played a little better :/
Oh, sorry... lol
lol xD
Remenber when Daigo said Justing was free? - He was drunk, but still :P
Free in Street Fighter IV. And he was right.
Gave away? So when it hits it's an "umeshoryu" "psychic DP" or whatever, but when it whiff it's always "giving away" or "input error".... And the second round... WHY COULDNT THEY HAVE FACED OFF IN TOP 8, NOOOO
justin gains the fat that daigo loses.
Lol
hahahaha
hahahahaha you made my day :D
Dude, no. That shit hurts people, for real. No, I'm not fat.
he's just bulking. there's a beast under dat fat
I like Daigo so much but I'm rooting for team USA!
Wong looks so grown up and sophisticated now. I miss the old days
These 2 are LEGENDS of SF.
I was at evo saw diago in person , hes a short person, I can't believe he just walks around the room thru the vendors like a normal person ,I would of though everyone would be asking for a autograph
I dont even play this game why am I here?
because both these men have very soft nuts
Because the FGC has summoned you
no excuse for daigo. ryu is also a strong character in sf5
Thier matches never get old
had diago practice with another character, he probably would have one, but he plays ryu so much and uses the same moves that he becomes predictable, this is where justin wong took advantage of learning a new character and becoming unpredictable. He definitely earned that win.
Daigo hasn't qualified for Capcom Cup yet but there's a bunch of events left on the tour. He'll be there...
JustinW Evo world champ 2016 America is proud!
Its clear that in SFV Ryu's parrying ability isn't the same as it is in 3rd Strike. Daigo's a beast doing parries in SF III. god dammit daigo, stop doing this to us
Evo 2016 where only about 60 people watch in a warehouse. I thought this was supposed to be the BIG one?
justin win the match, daigo win our hearts
Now those were great commenting. It's like mixed between soccer and martial arts commentator.
Anyone know how to get hold of Justin & Daigo?
It's interesting watching this, it feels like a SF4 match whereas the Top 8 matches feel like SF5
Just in case you forgot its EVO 2016 Behrudy will remind you
Is this a match up issues with ryu? It felt like Daigo wasn't doing much in terms of offense.
Justin is a boss! great fight
EVO Moment #37. Daigo statue. It's closer to 3S! OMG, Daigo! 3S was my favorite. It's all about the footsies. SF was never about combos. The game isn't simplified, just git gud. Daigo being sponsored by BST now? Not sure what that is, I thought he was sponsored by MadCatz
NICE SPOT
=)
MadCatz dropped most sponsors because they are broke.
Jonathan Sosa OR DID THEIR STICKS BREAK XD
=)
I just came to see the Daigo fanboys cry and damage control another lost EVO. This makes it 6 years since he's won EVO in street fighter.
Do you know the name of the only person who have won EVO twice in a row?
You know what's more amusing than Daigo fanboys? Daigo haters LOL
Lol, and what year did you win EVO?
Sonic fox?
It doesn't matter if Daigo won twice in a row, while it's nice he did he has the same amount of EVO titles as Infiltration at the end of the day.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but ever since daigo started playing SFV, he hasn't been the same (Based on the Vids I've seen). whats up?
Justin Wong é um dos melhores... não é vergonha perder pra ele.
Pois é mano Justin é fera!
Is there no seeding? how is this match up even possible this early on.
Both Daigo and Justin Wong lost in their pre-liminary rounds knocking them to the loser's side brackets. Daigo lost to Tokido, Justin Wong lost to some random Canadian Chun-Li player to put him in that situation.

Nah they were seeded and the TO's did fine. It's on them for getting themselves into losers side to begin with.
+Marvin Lopez exactly
In revenge for “Justin is free”
Justin Wong made America great again!
"Justin is free"
maybe lupe fiasco did beat daigo legitly lol
B-O-R-I-N-G
Great match, but I feel both commentators are discussing a different match than what I am seeing.
How many boogers did just pick this match?
amazing game
There is a legend: If you shout "Let's gooo Justiiiin!" Daigo will automatically win.
Red Hood except Justin is not going to throw a raw Super in this game since parrying super is easy in SFV.
where are these tournaments held at?
excellent commentary
Holy crap I just realized behrudy is commentating.
No Daigo in the first top 8 for SFV? That doesn't even sound right to say smh, good match though.
he wasn't in top8 last years Evo, either.
placing 33 out of 5000+ entries is not bad considering he had to play Tokido and Wong
Daigo is really suffering in this game
A lot of top players have tough times during this EVO. Momochi was eliminated during pools, and players like Justin and Tokido, despite managed to defeat Daigo with tough efforts, still cannot make their way into top 8. This is one of the most heartbreaking EVO I've ever seen, glad Infiltration is still consistent as ever.

So many pros struggle as well, the one that can get through is Infiltration because he always adapt instead stick to one character. Really paid him off
Someone please present the entire roster to Daigo?
醍醐さんいちばんです
anyone could tell me when daigo lost the first match and versus who? I need to watch it.
He lost to tokido. These brakets made them fight each other super early.
Daigo lost to Tokido in a very close mirror match I'm sure they'll upload it.
I already found it in Trailer Zone youtube channel.
justin wong got his soul back.
Justin wong is free... No more
Can't. believe peope this play this game 4 is way better.
That's what everyone was saying about 3s when 4 came out, and until a few expansions later.
Daigo is still dangerous, but now that the best travel all over the world he can't dominate in the US like he used to.
Even Justin won the game, I still can't really understand why he chose Krain.
Why do you folks think Daigo wasn't parrying?
Parrying is too risky and Justin is a very patient player
Only Tokido has mastered parrying.
Clash of titans never the less.
Diago is reads arent as fast as other SFs. could it b the Lag or is the beast that bad?
That savaunt stare tho.
after the second jump before being defeated, it appears that daigo lost the interest in the fight.
Payback for Evo Moment #37
Congratulations Justin Wong!
The oh ho ho heard round the world! KARIN HAS SLAIN THE BEAST!
almost 2 more moment 37s in the last 2 games
Diego, you just waiting evil ryu is ok
Damn, daigo with the scrubby dp's
one of the best ever diago you the best
Parabéns Justin .grande luta
I think it's time for Daigo to throw in the towel, just sit and laugh on the side lines. I know I would if I was him. Much love to both players...
Completely unnecessary risk with that umeshoryu at the end of that first round. Why didn't he just wait it out?
Daigo loves his umeshoryu.
if we understood the reasoning behind Umeshoryu....it wouldnt be Umeshoryu
After learning some matchup with Karin I would not say it is an unnecessary action. Her pokes are quite difficult to be whiff punished by Ryu and DP is a fair bet when he can instantly close out the game if it hits. Prop for Justin for being patience though, a lot of Karin with mass buttons in that situation.
But neither of them are really on Infiltration's league anymore.
Does anyone think Daigo isn't on his best at SFV ? Maybe it's time for him to change his main ?
JW played pretty good no doubt on that.
Levi Hackerman Fuck no Ryu is in the top 3-5 best characters in this game. IMO he is 2/3.
Levi Hackerman Didn't he go to guile his real main.
JW rocks! Man!
who beat Justin
I wil never get Karin 's CA damage- how did that not kill in this case but take out 70% of someone hp at other times
Bigger scaling when the opponent is low on health.
He did a full combo into super so it was scaled down. Your 70% example is an exaggeration.
Back when people still use Ryu.
Maybe JW should try Sumo?
it seems like daigo can win at any moment, but he just keep himself waiting .. man i don't know
Like si viniste aquí después del capítulo de Akiba's Trip
Shoutout to the BJ girl in the stage background.
Can't believe that hasn't been called out by anyone yet.
Ryu's forward dash animation is so derpy lol
The smell there. I bet the players had to breathe through the mouth surrounded by that crowd.
so this is where Pablo Escobar is
He should've done the parry...
justin didn't chose ken.
all of us shotos live and die by tho dp
daigo not even top 32? damn....
happens a lot in casual baby games
+xgooglex you're so wrong it's unbelievable.
After watching their progress I would definitely say Justin Wong > Daigo in SF5 so far.
in tournament play yh, in a final where there are more games im not sure, id like to see it
SFV soo boring to watch. It would not surprise me that Daigo stop playying it.
