      It's not the game or the character. It's Daigo's own fault. Stop making excuses for him. He got outplayed period.

  • @Rromantiq
    @Rromantiq 8 лет назад +100

    Why is it every time Daigo loses people make excuses for him lol? If Daigo can accept a clean loss why can't his fanboys? Instead they resort to
    A. Make fun of Wong's weight
    B. Claim Ryu to be bottom tier [Even though Daigo and Tokido consistently place well]
    C. Bitch about tournaments being 2/3
    D. Make excuses about Daigo being tired, bored, sandbagging ect.
    as seen in the comments below. Daigo can lose, he's lost before hell he even lost to Phenom's Bison just a week before, we know how great he is but there are other great players out there too you know. I have no issue with Daigo but his fans are the worst of the worst

    • @harryvwj
      @harryvwj 8 лет назад

      2/3 doesn't prove that someone is better than the other. you need a first to 5 to decide that. I don't remember nfl game lasting only 2 quarters.

    • @Rromantiq
      @Rromantiq 8 лет назад +6

      kao han Vwj Better overall it doesn't but better during that set yes. 2/3 in a tournament setting is fine and Wong outplayed Daigo it was clear as day he did. If Daigo won this set the 2/3 excuse wouldn't be brought up for Wong now would it? Also FT5's don't always mean the person is better ether, if someone loses 4-5 in a FT5 that doesn't automatically mean the person who won is better ether. Also, trying to compare the this to an NFL game isn't going to work. Teams don't always make adjustments during halftime they also do it DURING the game. 2/3 format has been the standard forever but is only a problem now when a fan favorite loses.

    • @abc2390986
      @abc2390986 8 лет назад +7

      +Roman¢e True, when Daigo defeats people in 2/3 games no one would make excuse about the game being too short, instead fanboys say his opponents are exposed, fraud, etc. it is normal for a person to lean toward a specific player, but certain fanboys on the Internet is just ridiculous.

    • @cheappyv5156

      Gave away? So when it hits it's an "umeshoryu" "psychic DP" or whatever, but when it whiff it's always "giving away" or "input error".... And the second round... He dashed forward, a 16F hard to react dash, and Justin just was ready for it, very few things at that distance would hit other than her HK... He got out played, ppl can't seem to grasp this concept. And in this game he is getting outplayed constantly. Damn I hate fanboys...

    Its clear that in SFV Ryu's parrying ability isn't the same as it is in 3rd Strike. Daigo's a beast doing parries in SF III. But here in SFV where it works differently he couldn't truly rely on parrying (he didn't attempt using it), which kinda cost him i think. Both of them are great players so the match overall was good. Seeing as they have rivalries year in and out at Evo anyhow!

    EVO Moment #37. Daigo statue. It's closer to 3S! OMG, Daigo! 3S was my favorite. It's all about the footsies. SF was never about combos. The game isn't simplified, just git gud. No-one played SFII for arcade mode -- it's all about VS. Story mode is awesome. Online is for scrubs. Online is for hardcore. They made the combos easier to make it more honest, guys. This game is deeper than SFIV! This is my favorite SF; it's just more honest. SFV is like 3S, you can't spam fireballs. Proximity normals suck! Chip KO is cheap, GIT GUD!

      Yeah there was seeding by region (specifically, cross region seeding, so you're unlikely to play people you know), but yes this is one of the many things that the EvO TOs messed up on. Should have made sure that if these two were to fight that it would have been in top 32 at least.

      A lot of top players have tough times during this EVO. Momochi was eliminated during pools, and players like Justin and Tokido, despite managed to defeat Daigo with tough efforts, still cannot make their way into top 8. This is one of the most heartbreaking EVO I've ever seen, glad Infiltration is still consistent as ever.

    • @bunnyfreakz
      @bunnyfreakz 8 лет назад +2

      SFV is completely different, its now much more offensive and combo play. Meanwhile Daigo best at zoning, good timing for super & defensive, not doing him too much favor. So many pros struggle as well, the one that can get through is Infiltration because he always adapt instead stick to one character. Really paid him off

      After learning some matchup with Karin I would not say it is an unnecessary action. Her pokes are quite difficult to be whiff punished by Ryu and DP is a fair bet when he can instantly close out the game if it hits. Prop for Justin for being patience though, a lot of Karin with mass buttons in that situation.

    Does anyone think Daigo isn't on his best at SFV ? Maybe it's time for him to change his main ?
    JW played pretty good no doubt on that.

      Bigger scaling when the opponent is low on health.

      He did a full combo into super so it was scaled down. Your 70% example is an exaggeration.

      Justin clearly had better footsies than Daigo. Justin's positioning and pokes were better than Daigo's. Daigo would sometimes uppercut and Justin would punish it. Justin decided to play defensively and Daigo couldn't adapt, that's why he lost.
      When Daigo and Justin fought in SF5 for the first time a while back, Justin also beat Daigo. After watching their progress I would definitely say Justin Wong > Daigo in SF5 so far.
