    I love how the supercharger isn't unnecessarily loud, and it keeps the characteristic "roar" of an NA engine.

      @Krl0  7 лет назад +3

      Can be even much smoother in terms of sound with the HKS S-Tail exhaust we use on some builds (ECE approoved and same power).

    How does your exhaust sound so good? What headers do you have or what did you get to achieve that sound?

    • @Krl0
      @Krl0  2 года назад +1

      HKS header, joint-pipe, front pipe, high power single muffle , HKS all the way ;-) they have the same with a silencer on top for the same sounds but a few dB under which is very nice too.

      @@eternalglow6483 they just make the best one (them and Fuji, every other claiming they're the best are fake, we've tested most of them) and EL is the only way to go , UEL is just more back presure = less power and more heat = even less power the more the heat stays ... people just want the SUBARU sound forgetting the real Gr.A or WRC are equal and not UEL lol.

      @@eternalglow6483 send us an email to see what we do with the torque dip, for sur EL is also a lot better to erase that with a good tune (50% of it is caused by the tune and 50% of it by the manifold).

    @vrit1202 9 лет назад +1

    Sounds great. What are the exact model names of the exhaust and exhaust manifold? Did the bumper beam have to be cut at all for the supercharger installation? Did you have any trouble finding room to fit the supercharger and the exhaust manifold together?

    • @Krl0
      @Krl0  9 лет назад +1

      vrit1202 HKS all the way from manifold to exhaust tips. We've done dozens of these yet and all have been installed in less than 3 days with the same dyno numbers. Most of them have been tracked repeatedly and are doing fine ;)

    • @vrit1202
      @vrit1202 9 лет назад

      Krl0 That is downright impressive. Just two more questions: 1) Did you have to cut the bumper beam at all to fit the supercharger? 2)What would explain the somewhat large difference between the hp at the wheel (281hp) and the hp at the crank (380hp)? Thanks and keep up the good work!

    • @Krl0
      @Krl0  9 лет назад +1

      vrit1202 little cut (very little) in the flange behind but no need to cut the bumper.
      regula dyno reads about 175whp while we read 145whp, dynapacks reads super low, not good for advertising power but still the safest and most repeatable type of dyno and mesurement you can get ;)
      I prefer a good too for work than a good tool for advertisment ;)
      0 to 200 km/h is reduced by half so power is definetly doubled !!

    • @WymiataczPlays
      @WymiataczPlays 9 лет назад

      +Krl0 lol so 1 hp on one dyno won't equal 1 hp on another dyno? how are people supposed to get a real reading? xD

    • @Krl0
      @Krl0  9 лет назад

      +Wymiatacz Plays the most important is baseline vs modified ... % gained is what matters , I care about % gains, no "fake final number" so many are using ... we always use a "x1" coefficient on our dyno, this way we can really compare what a car puts down to the ground compared to another. Some companies have different coefficient from one car to another while it's the same model, sometimes worse, a different coefficient on the exact same car... easy to add or remove hp on the paper, but only on the paper ;)

      Yes fully stock interns (that included stock cams and stock springs also). I’m finaly building a forged 2.1 and since all these years we have about 40whp more on pump gas and 85whp more than this on E85 but needs pump and injectors (and ethanol content sensor and tune of course) but everything else the same. 85whp more than this video is just magic 👌🏻

      Ideally you wana stay at 260 foot pounds maximum flirting 365whp you risk to go over … it’s the high limit but some still manage to keep them without engine troubles yet. If the torque is there at high rpm , if you put this torque at 3200rpm it would last a few weekends only I think.

      320whp... don't you have detonation problems? the only explanation is that the gas you have in france is better😂 I have the same car, forged engine, exhaust, same hks v2.. with stock compression I can't push anymore ... I will have knock problems..

      @@mauriziomartino3875 what country you’re in ? FA20 is indeed crazy sensible to octane (so does most flat engines unsurprisingly). But yes with good gas this setup can deliver a lot more than advertised. We had only amazing results with it so far. Only alternative to me for fun would be a G25-660 but obliged to have a built engine unlike the HKS supercharger.
