"Elk River Blues" was written by the late West Virginia fiddler, Ernie Carpenter, and is performed here by Bob Webb and Heidi Muller. Bob is playing a mountain dulcimer made by the late Pete Belcher of Princeton, WV.

I came across version because I'm a big fan of the Sierra Ferrell version (the one shot in the riverboat wheelhouse.) This is a beautiful version - check out Sierra Ferrell for a totally different take on it. 😀
