I'm glad you made him work in the garden and do chores! It's the making of every person!

I had a lot of chores growing up and it didn't hurt me one bit, it might have hurt my feelings at the time lol. My mom was the hardest working woman I have ever known, sadly we didn't realize how hard life was for her when we were children. She had no modern conviences and raised 11 children and kept us fed and clothed and I never heard my dad and mom argue. I'm sure they disagreed on some things but if they did we never heard them raise their voices to each other.

Gosh your plants look so good despite all that rain! You are miles ahead of me on growing this spring - I am in south MS 50 miles north of the Gulf. We did not get all that rain here yesterday like you did. It was along the Gulf and also north of us around Jackson. This time. Tornado threats coming thru is what worries me when we have these storms which seem to be more prevalent in the last few years or so. Wonder why? Maybe directed energy warfare? who knows - we just have to do the best we can do. Blessings to you in your plans for garden expansion.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting on the garden. We had the worst drought last year and I'm not going to complain about the rain, I'm very thankful for it in spite of the broken potato plants. Your zone is pretty much the same as mine I think judging by where you live. Hopefully your garden will be going strong soon. Mine would be better if I weren't having so much trouble with these hips trying to go out on me, there are days I can't do anything in the garden. May the good Lord bless you and your garden.

Aww I will miss seeing the chickens in the background . Sorry to see the potatoes laid over and I hope they are okay. Sounds like you have a nice son.

Thank you for stopping by and yes he is a good man. Some woman sure missed out on a good husband in him. The one woman he was in love with and would have married broke his heart and he never married. He's very good to his mother and enjoys my cooking so I guess it worked out for my good although I would happily move out should he meet someone and wanted to marry her. Since he doesn't go out much I don't see that happening.

I think you’re going looks pretty good after a big storm going through. My plans got beat up living just here in California last week. And we have another storm coming in this Saturday and Sunday. I don’t know what it is the last four weekends we’ve had rain. Today is almost 90°. It’s so hot. I can barely deal with it and it’s gonna be in the 50s by the weekend again hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie.

You guys don't have the high humidity with those temps, do you? The humidity makes 90% feel like a 109% here in the deep south. Thanks for stopping by and blessings to you and Debbie 😊

After I recover from the hip surgeries I'll probably get a few, not going to have as many as before though. Thank you for stopping by 😊

Oh my goodness that must have been some storm. I lived in Seatlle and we had rain, PLENTY of it, but nothing like the storms that spring up here in the south. I'm sorry.
I hope your surgery goes well. ❤
