If you are new to my channel, I have changed my purchasing habits in the past year. I no longer buy unnecessarily large amounts of makeup and I have cut back on the PR I receive from companies. However, I do still have quite a few products that I’ve accumulated over the years, so I do like to do a declutter at the beginning of every year so I can continue to keep my collection in check!

I didn’t realize how many rosy toned palettes colourpop released. You are attracted to rose tones the way I am attracted to neutrals. I had to declutter quite a few neutral palettes these last few months. I didn’t even realize I was doing it until I laid them all out on my floor. So many palettes looked the same. Christmas came early for my son’s friends. Girls can scream loud when they are giddy with joy.

Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness too. My other makeup collection is pretty in check but palettes is way out of control and I don’t want to part with any of them. They give me such joy. Thank you for being consistent with your videos. In times like these I have something to look forward too.
After watching your recent declutter series, I've been hunting around for other declutters but they all leave me pretty... unfulfilled...? Something about your voice and format and explanations are just the best. Also, even though I knew that this was only Part 1, I was still surprised when it suddenly stopped!

What do you think about 2 new palettes per season? That’s 8 a year, so you’d be cutting back, and it might be easier to decide if you base it off the palette fitting that season

I parted with my most of my naked palettes recently as well. I never reached for them. I wanted the heat and honey but I got the born to run as a gift and love that one more then the naked ones. I stopped buying Anastasia palettes after the Sultry palette lackluster after a while.
I really liked this video because it felt like what I would do at sleepover as kid when you show your friends your toys. :)

i think you should separate them by color category instead of brands it would make it easier to declutter because it makes you realize you don't need 20 warm tone eyeshadow palletes
That definitely makes sense, but I reach for different palettes with similar color stories based on which formula I want to use that day! If it's a certain color story I don't wear as often like green, then I usually just try to keep one or two instead of so many different options. 💗

Andrea! I have a fun video idea! Have Brady lay all your Colourpop pallets out on the floor, opened up, with the names covered up. You then have to guess each pallet's name. Bonus if you include your most recent declutters and decide to still declutter them after seeing all the colors laid out. 🤗🤗🤗

I feel the same way about the UD palettes. Ive been so disappointed in the Reloaded & Id been told that the ABH Sultry wouldve been similar but better. I wish Id gotten that one because I dont yet have an ABH palette (i know crazy!! Lol!) but they all look so pretty to me, especially Jackie Aina! I love the UD Heat & Honey too!! The formula of the Honey is UD’s best yet in the Naked series and Ive always loved the Heat palette. There aren’t any words to describe how awesome your collection is! 😍🤤🤩 Stay healthy & safe!! 💖💖💖

Gurl I am the same with Eye Shadow Palettes. I will buy more too. I used Avon Shadow for over 10 years with no issue. I will always use it. "Expired means nothing to me" really unless i see something wrong or something happens to my eyes using it, I will use it always. They cost so much so why not. You rock Gurl!

I would definitely just depot the ones I love and make a magnetic pallet of my favorite shades. It cuts my eyeshadow down by quite a lot.

Eyeshadow palettes are the hardest thing for me to declutter as well & something that helped me let go of more was laying my palettes out on the floor to compare the individual shades. If I have similar enough shades in formulas I like better that usually convinces me I don’t need to keep them! 😇
Andrea, you did great so far. I am very proud of you for doing this declutter. I know how you feel about your eyeshadow palettes but you sure are kicking butt right now. I know you will hit your mark and I have a feeling you might even go over your goal. I cannot wait for part 2.
I decluttered a good chunk of my collection last week and it feels so good. Lip products are toughest for me though.

I totally feel the same way about the Carly Bybel palette! I was so upset it was total trash for me. Very disappointed because ABH makes my fave shadows.
