I guess it's kinda same with people getting scared of their alarm sound because it gets associated with the dread of waking up to a day they're unprepared for or they know will go bad or something. In this case the light got associated with the anxiety of being unable to sleep.
That dread is why it's common to make the alarm sound as shrill and obnoxious as possible. That way the Pavlovian reflex isn't linked to anything good.
@@GoodOleDFT Bro the alarm my dad sets is such an innocent and honestly peaceful sounding piece, its just that my days in High School when he set those alarms for me were often days where I was so unprepared for school I tried to disassociate from whatever was going to happen in class next day and wished almost night-to-night to just get stuck in my dreams until I'm ready or something. The worst part is I often for some reason manage to wake up maybe half an hour or so before the alarm went off, so there's also the anxiety of going back half-asleep knowing I'll hear the alarm mixed in. I agree that shrill and obnoxious alarms would definitely make the experience worse, but I say most of the dread comes from the fear of the day ahead.
Sodium vapor lamps (the super orangey ones that are less common these days) are particularly uncanny, because they produce a very monochromatic kind of light, that makes it hard to distinguish color and blends shapes together.
A sad day: I cannot marry Okayu. It wouldn't work out. I _love_ low CCT (incandescent/halogen warm white) light and despise high CCT (cool white) - the hospital bleach tone stresses my eyes -, and I fall asleep very easily as long as it's relatively silent or at least the noise is constant enough to tune out. Korone, she's all yours. 😝 Now, foreal, Ogayun could do with a sleep mask. Those thick foam ones that shield your eyes from every last speck of light. Even on the sunniest days, they block out more than enough ambient light to sleep peacefully as long as you're not directly under the sunlight; a puny orange ambient light lamp would stand no chance.
my heart still skips a beat when i hear the garage door because it means my parents are home… i haven’t lived with them for a long time lol
If you marry Okayu you have to pamper her? DEAL lol
But yeah, very unique fear
yeah, when someone asks you to pamper them, their voice matters the most in my experiences
and Ogayu is simply really top class in that department

As expected of our lazy, hedonistic cat. 😹 Also, seems like sleep is either really simple or really complicated for people.
1:42 I see you, orange supa-kun
I find orange lights to be soothing. I love volcano levels in video games.
I always fall asleep for last, so she wouldn't have that issue with me. Also, it's kinda romantic, as to guard over her sleep.

🤓🤓🤓, yeah
Orange lights? O=
