So for context. Ains and Albedo are Lv 100 as are the Floor Guardians you saw in the previous episodes. The Death Knight is Lv 35 (Has the equivalent of Lv 25 attacks and Lv 45 defense). Gazev is roughly Lv 30. Gazev is also the strongest warrior in the Kingdom. He's often used as a measuring stick for other characters. Anyone who can fight him on even ground is very strong and bordering on "The Realm of Heroes".
Ah... the Jealousy mask. The free gift for logging in on Christmas Eve. Remember that Christmas Eve in Japan is a big night for couples. Thus, if you are logged in on Christmas Eve, you get a Jealousy mask.
Oh regarding YGGDRRASIL:
1. There was actual racism in that game. Majority of the players human characters, and these players used to team up and farm those players who played inhuman characters for XP. That's why you can see in the flashback, Ainz lying helpless.
2. So Ainz, Touch Me and 7 other players came together and formed a guild, called Nine's Own Goal. Later when other players joined, they changed the guild name to Ainz Ooal Gown.
3. There were 2 requirements to join the guild - You have to play an inhuman character, and You need to be a working member of society, i.e, you need to be employed. Because almost all of them were P2W. YGGDRASIL was 10 times more P2W than any game you have heard of till now.😂
4. Touch Me was named Touch Me as a shortened form for "Touch Me if you can". At some point during his time in YGGDRASIL, Touch Me participated in an official martial tournament and defeated all of his adversaries. By winning the tournament, he was awarded a special prize that came in two. Being given a special class, he became the "World Champion" of Álfheimr and was as awarded with the bonus equipment Compliance with Law(its the grey armour you see him wearing).
5. Ainz Ooal Gown was Rank 7 overall in the whole world and Rank 1 in defense.
"Grasp Heart" is Momonga's favorite spell if a player is high enough level it just stuns them, but low levels.... Death Knights turn their kills into low level zombies. Momonga was an avid collector in the game so he's got loads of trinkets to hand out if needed. Call him Ains (or as we like to call him, Bone Daddy).

Commentary Episode 3 S1
Hello friend, thanks for continuing to react.
Some clarifications of the chapter (without spoilers). Originally in the Ygdrassil game there was a character class called "heteromorph", who unlike the humanoid classes, had high starting power and access to many more abilities and immunities, but also weaknesses. Also, one of the drawbacks was that other players could kill heteromorphic players without "penalty", so in the game it became customary to chase them to level up quickly, to the point of almost cyberbullying. Momonga suffered from this until he was saved by his friend Touchme (the creator of Sebas the butler), who introduced him to his first friends and the 9 together founded their own guild under Toucheme's initial leadership.
Since all of them were Heteromorphs and only accepted Heteromorphs instead of having other classes to balance better, which initially put them at a disadvantage, they chose a euphemistic name for their guild: NINE'S OWN GOAL.
Later, due to the fights between TouchMe and another fellow named Ulbert (creator of Demiurge), Momonga was chosen to take command of the Guild as he was a person everyone got along with. They then changed his name to an anagram of the former, which became AINZ OWN GOAL.
That is the explanation of the Name so particular.
In the new world where many things don't work exactly like in the game or have completely new functions, that's why it takes Ainz so long to control the Remote Viewing Mirror. That's also why he's surprised that the Death Knight can abandon him, when in the game the summons had to stay a certain distance from the summoner even if they didn't want to.
Being a cautious person, Ainz is afraid that the inhabitants of this new world are stronger than him, so he first tries a level 9 spell and then a weaker level 5 spell that could not harm him, but the knights cannot resist any.
I take this opportunity to clarify that in the game there were 10 levels of magic plus a level 11 that worked as a special attack and that I will explain later. Level 5 Lightning is very low by the standards of a level 100 player like Ainz.
By the way, those guys aren't actually "Knights", but undercover agents from another nation, but I'll go into more detail in the next chapter.
Something you should know is that Overlord is not an Anime of Good guys against Bad guys, adventure or conspiracies, although he has a lot of all this. I don't know the correct term because I live in Latin America, but here we say "dark comedy" to a type of story that is basically like those of the Adams Family: There is a world with structured rules, a story that should have gone certain way... And then a bunch of dysfunctional demigods come along and turn everything upside down!
The Mask that Ainz wears has some kind of joke in it. In Japan they celebrate Christmas, but they don't do it following any Christian influence, but they copy from afar what they see in the US and that is why it has become a holiday more similar to "Valentine's Day". In the Ygdrassil game, this item was given away on Christmas Day to all players who were online because they "didn't have a date" that night. Hence the euphemistic name of Mask of Envy.
Now it is clear that Ainz and his base are not exactly in the Ygdrassil game, but in a different world, although for some reason there seems to be magic and items that existed in the game. The Great Tomb of Nazarick (the name of the base), is located near the border between 3 great nations: The Kingdom, the Empire and the Theocracy.
I loved how you noticed Ainz was just telling the dude his own words at the end of fight, thats the kind of reactions I like.
extra info: Ainz took the remaining members of that group to his torture chamber to get info out of them, but sadly they had a curse on them that killed them after answering 3 questions.
Also The corrupted nobles sent gazef out without his equipment, otherwise he would have killed them all easily.

if u are talking about his armour and blade he would still not have won. specially against dominian athority or even (i think) principle of observation was it? at least dominian authority is 7th tier which no human can withstand no matter what he had. and its obvious since the blade could only scratch him a little even though he was not using any special skills or magic
Momonga specializes in necromancy. The Death Knight is only a lower middle tier undead, but is one of Momonga's favorites, still. It's victims turn into zombies under it's control, it can survive any OHKO with 1HP, and can draw aggro toward itself. So its summoner has at least two chances to plan a defense before the Death Knight dies.
Unfortunately, not just anybody can be brought back to life. After being revived, the person who came back will lose a little bit of life force equivalent to five levels. And if they don't have that life force to spare, then their body will just turn into dust.
Gazef was actually a little stronger than everyone in that battle, based on _level._ However, the Sunlight Scripture had a strategy tailor made for fighting warriors. The summoned angels are resistant to attacks from normal weaponry, which forced Gazed to use Martial Arts skills to combat them. Martial Arts drain physical, and mental energy, and while Gazef was focused on the angels, he could never get near the _summoners._

Commentary Episode 4 S1
Ainz's base has appeared on the border of three countries: The Kingdom, the Empire, and the Slane Theocracy. By chance, all these countries are fundamentally human, but there are also other more distant nations that are not human, but monsters like dragons.
In reality, despite their high numbers, the human species is one of the weakest and is constantly under siege or enslaved by the rest of the world. The nation that cares most about “ensuring the survival of humanity” is the Theocracy and to do so it resorts to means that are quite radical, since if it didn't, humanity would have fallen long ago. It is because the power of the Theocracy arouses fear in other countries that no heteromorphic nation dares to invade human nations.
Gazef Stronoff is the best warrior in the kingdom and one of the most honorable characters, but the kingdom he serves has many problems that have weakened it and the safety of the human nations is in danger because of it. The Slane Theocracy had decided to go ahead and bring about the downfall of the Kingdom themselves, before a non-human nation attacked it. So, they can create a new powerful human country or let another absorb it. The problem is that Gazef Stronoff is very strong and absolutely loyal to his king, so the Theocracy knows that they will never get him to defect from the kingdom, that's why they chose to assassinate him first. And in truth they were only able to set up a trap for him because many nobles from the corrupt kingdom conspired to kill him out of jealousy. That reveals to you the degree of corruption that the kingdom has, that they do not mind killing their best captain commander in order to gain a little more power.
In the middle of all this Ainz falls and turns everything upside down as if it were the Adams family.
The Sunlight Scripture are an Elite commando of the Slane Theocracy, but they haven't been able to do anything to Ainz and this has revealed a lot about the strength he possesses and the magic system.
The Magic of Ygdrassil game has 10 fundamental levels.
Normal people can't use magic.
The more or less gifted can use 1 or 2d Tier Magic.
Great talents can use 3th Tier Magic.
Super geniuses and gifted people can do 4 or 5th Tier Magic.
With the help of invocations or ceremonies it is possible to do magic of level 6th and 7th Tier Magic but it is believed that it is impossible for a single individual to do it. That's why Captain Nigan shouts "Dominion Authority's magic completely surpasses humanity". Since that angel's ray of light is 7th Tier Magic.
By theory, 8th Tier Magic is suspected to exist, but has never been found and is considered a myth or something exclusive to the gods.
Ainz is a level 100 player… And he can use 10th Tier Magic. Hence all the attacks slipping from him as if it was a joke. Only "Grasp Heart" with which he ripped out the heart of the first knight is 9th Tier Magic Spell.
However, Ainz is very cautious and wanted to make sure the enemies weren't stronger than him, so that's why he first chose to watch Gazef's battle and only changed at the last moment. That's why Albedo celebrates that he "used that human" as a guinea pig.
The world of Overlord is inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, so there are certain rules for all characters that have to be followed. Ainz is a lich, so he should normally be weak against blunt physical attacks. But since he is a level 100 player there are many passive effects on his body that nullify the damage of low-level attacks. Specifically, any blow below level 60 will not do anything to him, so the swords of the first angels are useless against him, since they do not exceed level 30. This massive difference in levels is also why Ainz can smash "angels" into the ground so easily.
It is also evident that Ainz cannot be the only player who has come from Ygdrassil, because someone must have taught the humans of that world how to use that kind of magic. But it is still a mystery who they are or if they still exist.
The Data Crystal used by Nigun is a Yggdrassil Item that in theory can store 9th Tier spells and that's why he thought the angel inside would be from the first hierarchy, the seraphim or cherubim, but a Dominion Authority is the middle rank between mid-ranks and so he felt bad for being on his guard.
Before starting to fight, Ainz put up an anti-spy barrier so that no one could watch them from afar with magic. That is why the sky suddenly seems to crack for an instant, because someone tried to observe from afar, but the barrier stopped him.
Finally, in the post-credits scene you can see that Ainz only wants to search for the friends of this world using his new name, but his servants have misunderstood his intentions and believe that he wants world domination.
And he has not yet realized this.

1. The power scaling of Nazarick is insane. OP is an understatement.
a. A single Death Knight can destroy an entire kingdom in this world.
b. Gazef Stronoff is said to be a "Hero" class individual. Even he is only scaled to like Level 30.
2. Here are the list of kingdoms:
a. Re-estize Kingdom -
Majority of our story for Season 1 to 3 takes place here. The nobles are scumbags, they oppress the poor people. Corruption is rampant. These nobles actually believe that magic is just party tricks and they fail to comprehend the power of magic till its too late. Commoners here are done for.
b. Baharuth Empire -
Enemies of Re-estize. The emperor is extremely intelligent and highly capable. A true leader. There is social order and discipline.
c. Slane Theocracy -
As you can see, its a Theocracy. It believes that Humans are the superior race and should be the one to rule this world. There are 6 different religious sects, based on the 6 Great Gods who established this country.(I will explain this further after Season 2 Episode 1). They hate the demihumans and monsters so much that they actually send these specialised corps, called "Scriptures" to exterminate them. This Nigun that you see in this episode, he is alone responsible for numerous such genocides.
Here are the list of Scriptures:
Sunlight Scripture - The anti-demi-human response unit.
Black Scripture - The special black operations military unit.
Windflower Scripture - The intelligence and espionage unit.
Clearwater Scripture - The infiltration and undercover unit.
Holocaust Scripture - The assassination and counter-terrorism unit.
Ashendust Scripture - The sanctuary base guard unit.
As of episode 4, courtesy of Ainz, Sunlight Scripture has been wiped out.😂They actually tortured Nigun and his mates to extract information. They tortured, then healed and repeated this process to the point Nigun and others brain stopped functioning properly.😂
d. Holy Roble Kingdom, Argland Council States, Dragon Kingdom, Elf Country, Karsanas City State Alliance - Will Explain after Season 3
3. Gazef is considered one of the strongest Human being in this world but he is a commoner, and because of this majority of the nobles hate him. That is why these nobles sold him out to Slane Theocracy. This is why only a few of these soldiers were sent, so that Nigun and his team and kill them and be done with Gazef.

You will see a main character that build on logic that can thinking. This is why i like for Overlord. Our MC are not some goody goody people that spread goodness without benefit.
Our MC is stupid in term of academic btw, example politic knowledge, historical knowledge and such. But he smart with the strategy battle since he was veteran at the game before, this is his main power. He is very cautious. And some way you will even quite Amaze by how his cautiousness is taking extreme level in the future.
Saying this so you wouldn't confuse why our main character is the way he is. Since the real world our main character aren't well describe in the anime, even the LN is just a small note .
What you say about 17:00, about "what if Ains is in trouble ?" is the question the character himself and us ask ourselves during all the anime : is there anyone in this world who can challenge him, or is it just the Overlord, a guy just in a world far too weak for him ?

I'll just bring to your attention a "blink and you'll miss it" line from episode 2. That despite having it right at the start of the new world, Ainz has actually lost his libido so he's no longer excited about Albedos advances
This man played for 12 years in Yggdrasil Online so as to reach the maximum level. It paid off in ways he never could’ve predicted.
We know Ainz is level 100 when entering this world. And that's without the countless god teir items he wears from rings to the red orbs, even his cloak. To put his power in perspective, Gazef - who is considered to be one of the strongest humans is around level 30. And we all know level scaling right, in terms of power level 90 is only half way to level 100. Ainz is a God in this world.
To also put into context, most of the nazerek NPCs are between level 80 and 100 - many of them being level 100
Obviously the Tomb of Nazarick and anything inside it who get isekaied, not the MC itself
