I mean you also have to consider this is p much solely non-Chinese fans' views, as RUclips is blocked in China, and as a result he has many more views in the Chinese equivalent, while Baekhyun, for example, would likely have more views here and on Naver than on sites like Sohu, YouKu, etc. He's broken a shitton of Chinese records with just this EP, including breaking Gaon's record for solo artist album sales. This was even with the political issues between SK and China at the time (that have thus recently escalated), and the slight distrust to Chinese artists in the media in SK post-Chinaline leaving.
Of course, he's still slept on a lot by the rest of the international fanbase, but views are far from everything, and that shows in the fans' dedication to him and all of EXO.

i dont know what i was expecting tbh but im very impressed with this lay did an amazing job also hella excited for his title track i still hate sm but im lowkey thankful that they gave lay a very well deserved solo
