- hello everyone! today is a little spring/summer clothing haul with pieces that i've collected over the past few months from my favorite places. i've put them into 6 cute outfits that i wish i could have worn in spring, but can't wait to wear after quarantine. for LA country many stay at home restrictions were lifted recently so we're kind of allowed to go out again. i've been cautiously reintroducing myself to the world but still practicing social distancing otherwise! as the world opens up again i hope you are all staying safe whether indoors or out. thanks for watching & see you guys again next week! 😌🌼
(a note on reformation)
this video was filmed in advance almost 3 weeks ago and i included several pieces from reformation since i was a long time fan and customer. recently in light of the black lives matter movement several former employees came out with horrible stories of racism and unsafe working conditions, challenging their stance as a sustainable brand. since then reformation has failed to be transparent or to develop a concrete action plan to support equality in their brand. i’m disappointed, but there’s still a little hope that they can deliver on their promises and diversify. i just know i won’t be shopping from them until they prove themselves worthy of our support.
i still decided to upload this video because although i don’t currently support reformation, i think fashion isn’t just about the brands i share or love. it’s also about the inspiration that we can find in pieces or the overall look. we can always find other brands to replace the ones we’ve lost respect for, so i just censored them out lol. thanks for listening!

It's very admirable of you to put forth your current opinion on reformation (and other similar brands). There's this consensus of dissing people who support such brands before this kind of information is made public to look like they're "the better person". This often leads to people not openly expressing their disappointment in brands and just staying quiet until it blows over, especially influencers. Thank you for making your opinion clear!

For love and lemons designs their own clothes. They’re made in China, but they’re not purchased from wholesalers. The clothes on aliexpress are knock offs, so be care of the quality/look at reviews if you do buy from there.

One note though: you mentioned that the second outfit was inspired by 70's mod fashion, but mod fashion was mostly worn in the 1960's. In the 1970's the hippie & disco looks were a lot more popular.

actually I even have a question. I have been dyeing my hair myself for a long time and it always works as it should, but recently I decided to dye my hair in a light pink. I live in a small town where there are only 2 hairdressers but as I said before because I live in a small town that didn't have the color I wanted so I bought some in DM and dyed my hair with it. After I had washed everything out everything was as I wanted it, but after washing my hair for the first time after dyeing it there always a lot of the actual color wash out. I have already re-colored it, but after washing the first time it looks relatively blonde again. I wanted to ask you if you could recommend a color that I can order online. In regards to Reformation. A lot of the mistakes that were made appeared to be under Yael's leadership and I think the brand has been pretty solid for the last couple of years. Whilst I don't discredit the stories and suffering of girls who have worked there, it is so important I think for a brand like Ref to exist with it's sustainable message. I've seen a huge amount of influencers who've never shopped there before talking about how the prices are crazy. Ref regardless of it's questionable history was one of THE first brands to manufacture in America and pass the minimum wage standard. If an influencer says their no longer supporting The Reformation but then I see them doing a Fashionova haul - how you gonna say you support BLM and then turn around and support a brand that literally uses modern slave labour to make their clothing. The brand stands for so much good. It doesn't feel right to burn all their clothes or whatever over this. It's not like for example dollskill which has always been problematic and does nothing to change their leadership. Like I dunno I'm seeing so many BLM activists completely canceling the brand and pushing all these black owned brands made in sweatshop conditions. It just feels fake and makes me really mad.
Why would you post this and showcase (even link in description) R*formation's clothes at all? Redacting it doesn't mean anything if you're still modelling and promoting their clothes...
