I was at the game and there were definitely some good bits of entertainment but a goal either side would have been nice. You couldn't tell it by the coverage but there were a lot of people there considering it was cold and raining for almost the entire game. 2200 seats between the grandstand and bleachers plus extra bleachers, a good crowd standing around the field, in a VIP area, and a few folks on the hill overlooking the pitch.
I don't think the planning crew was quite prepared for the crowd (long lines for food and portapotties; no clearly marked aisles on the bleachers so some rumblings there as some folks got stuck up top) and there were a few missed opportunities ie 50/50 sellers in a booth on one side of the field, not walking around the entire venue. There was a làrge field for parking and local football team players(?) organized and directed traffic pre-game. Not sure why they weren't there post game as well as trying to drive out of the parking area was a ridiculous free-for-all.
Overall I think Kelowna did okay and if they do end up with a team, with a few tweaks to the organizing, I'd go back for another game.

Despite no goals Canadian soccer won. Seeing fans sit around the track, even some sitting in the hills overlooking the stadium made it look like a game in 1910s England. CPL might have something brewing with potential franchises in lesser known Canadian markets. Not a CPL fan but a new soccer fan from Austin, TX, and I love seeing the game grow the way up north the way it has down here. Great job Canada!

@@JustinOlpompa I was there. It was not end-to-end as described and the finishing you can see is terrible for professional level.

@@chrishanzek8930 was there 6,200 ppl there? sounded way less than that.. not much noise

@@sowaveysuyat it was quiet because the weather was crappy and most of us were bundled up in our seats trying to stay dry. Vancouver FC and Cavalry fanclubs were there with drums and songs but that didn't translate to the video coverage I guess. There were lots of people though.
