Love how at 0:15 the bright orange chunks and fog from the freeze make it look like the pressure is melting it.
@@popinbens7595 - no nothing was melting. The pressure was causing the plastic middle to break and fly out, which just happened to be orange the same color as molten metal. A cool and unintended visual effect.
@@downfromthereeefters yea i figured that out and i should have gone back and edited my comment but thanks
@@downfromthereeefters you can still see the heat defrost it tho which is pretty cool, even tho it's no where near enough to melt it
@@downfromthereeefters
I didn't know there was plastic at first so I was like "oh damn that got hot real fast"
Have to say the safety glasses saving the watermelon is a legitimate safety lesson and it’s hilarious
That was great 😂
It made me think of veggie tales
@@Myles720 Lo
@@Myles720 😂😂😂wti😅😢😂❤we
Yeah
"Deep Frozen Steel Hammer" as opposed to Deep Fried Steel Hammer
Only in Scotland 😂😂😂
Finnish vs American specialties.
Deep fried steel hammer sounds like an execution
Yup, definitely a Scottish delicacy.......
I need this at work 😅
Dude that giant bolt and nut gave me the biggest jumpscare in a while.
Better jump scare than any modern horror
Yes!
I looked around for a gunshot, lol
I taught I was in an American school
Yes
"Who would guess that the safety classes work. Hey! This is like educational." 😂
Prrritti Guud.
The accent is like half the draw of the channel. I especially like hoodraulic.
Poor watermelon lmao
Hopefully, everyone.
At the end of a long stressful day, this channel is always so satisfying to watch.
What's up Travis
If you dont mind the jumpscares everytime something exodes😅😅🤣
Yeah its nice to see that there are things under more stress
it’s also satisfying to get ear raped
I like how on the frozen ones, you can literally see how the stress creates heat the way the frost evaporates
Man I would love to see a Collaboration between this guy and the slow-mo guys. Would be awesome to see some of this in the super high frames per second shots they get.
we already get slow mo here😊
@@Anguish88 Not even close to the same thing The Slow Mo Guys are capable of.
I fail to see how Gavin would survive that encounter
@@Calvados656 do you think there would be much benefit over the slow mo seen at 5:20?
@@FoghornWashington depends on your idea of benefit I guess. This is still significantly less slow mo than what slow-mo guys could do. Like, by a lot
The craziest thing I see in this is watching the condensation dissipate on the frozen parts as heat is made from the intense pressure. You literally watch the heat move up and down the frozen object.
It’s physics right in front of our eyeballs. The heat is mostly generated from the points where the pressure is applied, compression happens locally, so the heat is generated locally.
It's... It's beautiful...
0:48 Guys, I think you’re supposed to twist it.
The bearing crushing could not have been done more perfect
Something I love about metals like steel is the fact that they just kinda throw incredible strength out the window at some point and they just explode, shattered at the molecular level
So basically like how my emotions work then.
The amount of force getting stored in a solid chunk of steel that's acting as a pseudo spring is terrifying
Just looking at how everything suddenly jumps
I would love to see some infared camera with the metal deep freeze ones. Thats so bizzare to see that. Very cool
I’m just glad the watermelon had safety glasses on.
The playing cards are as equally impressive as any other great press moments I think.
You should do a Collab with the slo mo guys to see the destruction in extreme slow mode!
Was not looking at the screen until the first slow-mo on the hammer, thought there was molten metal spraying out.
"No wonder it didn't crushéd. It was not completely deep frozen!"
@@nayhem fresh frozen
4:30 to show safety glasses working
I love how the light keeps getting hit and knocked over
Also the piston has to be strong to resist the heat and other things
Also how did you fit all those bearings together
Bearings have tolerances set up in a way that they just slide nicely over each other. There is couple hundreds of a millimetre space between each one.
"Go to the Light my Fractured Piece!"
@@HydraulicPressChannel what if you put a whole engine block into the press?
@@jwalster9412 this!
The slow footage of the bearings was awesome. A lot of action and sparks.
Your channel is really great! We just never know what will wind up getting crushed!! Enjoy watching it!! Can't wait to see some more!! :)
It will be more amazing if you show temperature besides pressure. Thanks
Have you ever tried using a DB meter to measure the decibels of the explosions from some of these ?
It would have to measure short intense peaks, AFAIK not all meters can do that properly.
The paper explosions are always satisfying! Like the playing cards one was amazing!
I know the bangs are coming but I still jump every time.
The exploding drill bits were the worst for me lmao, first two bent then small boom. Then the next two, big boys, fucking BAM! and boy did I jump lol
@@justtime6736 You and me both.
That's what she said
Second one scared me so bad it was like watching “relaxing car drive” all over again
Wario it's you?
Watermelon had a huge fright 4:08
4:02 The Forbidden pencil shavings
0:09 that fart wAS SO ACCURATE
4:27 I laughed too when the safety glasses worked.
What would be great is if you had a thermal camera set up to see the increase in temperature at the failure point.
This channel is growing and growing! I was here when it was only 59 subscribers and now its past... well it keeps growing everyday. Good job and keep the content flowing 👍
What a brilliant idea for a you tube channel, relatively simple to produce yet super entertaining. Good for you man, enjoy your success.
you gotta shut ur mouth
0:09 oh a goat!
Definitely some great press moments
That hammer is incredible- it comes close to wrecking the whole enclosure!
I love how violently paper explodes
I had a heart attack 1:05
1:25 O-kay! 😃👍
At 2:50
Hydraulic press be like : A worthy opponent 😂
The slow-mo of the bearing is awesome!!
Loved the music on the ball baring destruction 😍
This is actually insane
Yeah man the super dangerous ones are the best.
@1:55 the brake did what its supposed to do...break
It looks so cool when we can see that bottom of the socket is heating up so fast!
I can't get enough of your videos. Respect to you from East Texas, United States
Beaumont? Im from Richmond Tx
Always amazes me to see the sparks from stuff you wouldnt expect to spark just by crushing itQ
8:00 "don't squeeze the charmin" XD
Somewhere in Finland there's a landfill with a lot of broken stuff 🤔👍
it's not like they're filling up themselves. geez sorry your so sad
@@RIXRADvidz Not sad, amused. Imagine to stroll pass to that pile and notice things that are broken in a way that can only be the result of a hydraulic press 🤣.
They actually take most "leftovers" to get recycled.
His reactions make the video so much better
The audio/video editing/syncing at 5:22 was awesome 👏 awesome content as always 😊
That giant bolt and nut scared me so bad I jumped and launched my phone in the air like 3 feet 🤣
OMG I ALMOST THREW MY IPAD ON MY BEDROOM FLOOR IT SCARED ME SO BAD
Idk why but I find this entertaining
Moe, Larry, and Curly were the real pioneers of this technology.
I think a colab with the slow mo guys would be really cool for how fast the steel fractures
So random but...I'm guessing MCU Hela must have 70,000Kg of force in her hands 😂
I love that your Channel is still thriving and well! Greetings to my Suomi people up in the north!
Much love from sveitsi (Switzerland) hope i pronounced that right.
lol this was so cool . i love when the whole thing shakes.
Hi Lauri, a suggestion: could you arrange your tools in a way to "stretch" things instead of "press" them?
That would be the "Stretch Channel"......this is the "Press Channel".
@@kevynhansyn2902 your second name is Lauri i suppose
@@oscarrecchia6884 Maybe.....the world may never know my secrets!!!!!
@@kevynhansyn2902 👍🏻 🤣
I kinda wish he’d put some things in the press chamber that the shrapnel could hit. Just to give kind of an idea of how dangerous this can be.
These are so cool that I'm dying to see hydraulic press versus hydraulic press
I thought you once said it wasn't very easy making these compilation videos. Already seen this.
1:19 sounds like artillery
1:33 light flickers
3:17 bang
3:43 loud break/crack
4:12 bang again
4:43 bang once again
6:22 old axe falls
6:42 modern axe falls
7:01 cast iron pan breaks apart
7:19 modern frying pan middle floor melting
7:35 toilet paper exploding
This is the best hydraulic press video I've seen so far I'd say. Nice work 👍
These videos make my day
I love watching you destroy shit
I just saw that massive ball bearring on the thumbnail and knew instantly, it's going to be fun!
I like looking at massive balls in bearings... soooo satisfying
To co robicie jest niewiarygodne!
Awesome channel! I can't say that the content is solid but at least everything is treated equal.
0:32 cool to see the stress lines forming from the center of the faces radiating down to the center and the center lines forming. Then you can see the center fails first and outwards.
3:08 You can see the heat building up at the ends and radiating towards the center
4:40
Say in your head with the accent..
Cool, I made “a” Uzi!! 😂
The guys accent and laugh makes these vids 100x better
The way the socket looked like it was thawing out was pretty cool.
When the guy laughs he sounds like Count Dracula from sesame street. 4:50
I consume this Cchanel almost every evening before I start to sleep.
The laugh after the ball betting is that of a true madman.
Love your channel, keep up the good work! How about trying to press a piston down the cylinder on a fully assembled engine, minus the cylinder head of course.
this channels gives an accurate answer about how the hell does Soumalinen spend the long days without sunlight ... pretty entertaining !
That nut bolt sound was really satisfying
Cool, the socket was my favorite. The sound reminds me of my time in the war. RIP tom
Such a satisfying video to watch !
I think a high-speed slow-mo camera would create some even more amazing clips during the sudden collapse. Nonetheless thank you for the amazing content!
Seeing the pressure cause the paint to chip is amazing
It’s really cool to see the difference between brittle and ductile metals here. My favorite is the iron pans at 7:02. the first one is made of cast iron - which is hard but brittle, so it gives lots of resistance at first but then „explodes“. The second one is probably steel, it doesn’t give as much initial resistance but it bends so it holds the resistance for much longer.
7:05
Why did the Cast Iron Pan sound like something getting destroyed in a Lego game? LOL!
You ever see a title that makes you think “this is a bad idea but I don’t want to look away?” This is that video.
They should partner up with The Slow Mo Guys and make a video together. Feels like this channel needs faster cameras hahahah Awesome vids 🤟🏼🤟🏼
I like your little comments. Makes the video more entertaining.
Amazing how things react.
There something deeply satisfying about all of these
"There! Hey, this is like educational!" ...😂 Best stuff I've learned from YT in weeks!
just amazing.
Those lights need secured better, they're taking a beating every time 😂
5:14 When your party triumphantly destroys the evil artifact that was corrupting reality
First, I love this guys enthusiasm for answering question I never knew I definitely needed answered. Second, that press is an incredible price or machinery. Third, the physics and energy involved are amazing. Finally, that was quite an outstanding demonstration of the effectiveness of safety glasses (did someone still eat that watermelon?).
So oddly satisfying
That pop with the big nut and bolt had me jumping!
