@@patilpv it's depends upon the chasni you make. First time the chasni I made it was little thin and I soaked the Puri for 3 hours and it was over soaked. And second time chasni because little thicker than previous so it took almost 5 to 6 hours to absorb.

Not the same thing, Long lata or labanga latika has stuffing & this is just a flaky pastry. This is more like a sweet nimki.

5 min max make sure syrup is applied all over evenly
2 - 3 minutes is enough. But coat 'em well with sugar syrup.
