"Grace is God acting in your life to accomplish what you cannot do on your own." This is a huge step beyond "unmerited favor." Yes, it is unmerited favor, but it moves beyond this to action.
The world had no idea of who it lost when Dallas Willard passed. Such a great teacher. Thankful his writings and perspective live on.

I am a student of theology but I am working on to do business not because i love money but because i want to use money for higher purpose. I am however confused or pressured not to do business. So, can you please help me why theological students should do business as calling.

Anyone wanna explain what the "you have to sit on a sack of fertilizer to raise an umbrella" means? I'm clueless and it's buggin' the hell outta me.
I'm assuming that he is referring with a very rich soil like a sack. of fertilizer so concentrate in food for the plant you can only raise an umbrella which is fruitless and full of rods So you cannot result in a fruit bearing plant! A failure!
