    I bet the vast majority (90% plus) of people think that only drugs can help depression.

    As a pychologist who struggled from major depression recently i can say that you're a hundred percent right. It is good and very important that you can clearly diagnose depression with the common systems but as you say depression is always a SYMPTOM, not a desease. I had to learn a lot but went out of hell and cured mine within just 4 weeks 100% with healthy nutrition, sleep, vit D, vit k, vit B and progesteron. There's no need to suffer!

    I had depression, acid reflux & bloating. I started taking chelated magnesium & potassium citrate supplements and that fixed my gut in 5 DAYS and slowly that and a low carb diet, with A2 Milk, lots of veggies helped fixed my depression.

    I had depression anxiety and I was obese. I fought my way through via diet and physical and emotional workouts. Anyone needs a hand with it let me know if be glad to help.

    wow! great information especially on all the possible causes for depression. it really is important to really figure out what's going on in your body. because there is a correlation between mind and body. it makes sense.

    Physical is good but emotional is also good. Use EFT to heal your emotional state.

    years ago I actually had depression, anxiety and brain fog and actually got better after applying the principles in Mark Hyman's book. I love how he focuses on the real problem (root cause) compared to doctors that just push pills down your throat..

    Ten years I was suffering Depression struggling work,relationship and food, and overweight thank God my Depression went away without Medication

    I avoid drugs wherever I can, even after having them prescribed. I haven't had antibiotics for years. I eat more than the prescribed 2 and 5 veges and fruit each day. I don't use caffeine or alcohol, gluten or dairy, I'm active and train every day...still, i have random anxiety attacks (when things are 'happy') and the doctor diagnoses depression. WTF?

      You may have bad bacteria , parasitic infection , yeast overgrowth , sibo or other things that happen in your gut...maybe vitamin D or B deficiency...try that out

      I completely agree with the other person that replied to your comment!! I would also try out cbt (cognitive behavior therapy). It will re-train your brain to rephrase those negative thoughts. Those random anxiety attacks can also be from prolonged stress and/or your subconscious thinking your anxious or in a flight or fight mode but in reality your not. Listen to positive affirmations at night, meditate, pray, remove any bad parasites, virus, bacteria’s or sibio. 5-thp, vitamin d and magnesium can help anxiety

    If depression was this easy to cure it would not be the number 1 disability in the world ...I'm sure diet etc can help but it's not a cure all none of this stuff ever helped me ...
