- Hey guys the Fire Brothers here and I promised this video a while back and in all honesty, I forgot(much like the show itself and it's promotional material). So here it is a big video compiling all the Transformations from Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Predacons and everything in between. Now the trilogy wasn't the best but visually I think it was pretty pleasing to look at and the Transformations(when they appear on screen) where pretty cool to see. I still wouldn't consider this show to be an anime though, I still find that classification for it to be very weird but besides that I think the show is just meh to ok definetly not Energon levels so that's probably for the best. I expected the Maximals to not yell "Maximize!" when they transform in this but I appreciate that it's their version of "Autobots, roll out!"
I like how they just changed it to their catchphrase instead of an activation code like in the og
A shame how so few actual transformations are shown in the series. Why did Bumblebee never transform once in the entire show?
Maybe he's not include the cybertron vehicle mode I guess or maybe rooster teeth had lost the concept art of bumblebee vehicle mode...🤷🤷
They probably never intended for him to transform because he only ever had a Cybertronian alt mode for like one scene in G1. So they made the CG Model based off the toy that COULD transform into a VW but they didn't have the license to use it in the show, and they weren't gonna spend the budget making another model for him.
And yeah I'm aware Origins Bumblebee is a thing but I'm pretty sure that was after this.
@@_V.Va_: Origins Bumblebee came out either after or during Kingdom’s production, way to late to show it, especially considering how the models were made (Using the toys production models to make the show models look as accurate as possible)
This was because all the CGI models were based off of the actual figures, and since there was never a siege bumblebee or arcee, they had to improvise.

I have to say the show was pretty pleasent to watch and the animation in general was not bad at all !
I'd say that this shows best transformation is going from potential greatness to an absolute rage machine
the funny thing about Jetfire cutting the Seekers jet mode nose like that is it wouldn't actually kill the bot. if you own a figure of any of the cybetronian seekers, you'll know that that's just the parts on their collars that pop up when in bot mode, not actually attached to the body in any critical way. So all that'd do is ground them, which'd work just fine, but they blow up right after. it's pretty comical.
We needed more characters to transform, imagine how cool it would be to see Impactor transform into a tank, and shoot seekers out of the sky during the space bridge battle, how cool it’d be for bumblebee, Arcee, Ironhide, ratchet, Cliffjumper, and a few others to transform into their vehicle mode, seriously
I hate how the Transformers in WFC Trilogy lacked Durability. Literally any gun made them have a huge wound and killed them
G1 accurate.
Well for their toys for siege and earthrise have them and their vehicle mode beaten up as if the war made them this way.

Man there’s like hardly any actual transformations that are on screen and aren’t just cutaways.
Costs money
Oh don’t even! This was fucking Roster Teeth. The guys behind Red Vs Blue and RWBY. They know how to work a budget. Not to mention RWBY had far more weapon transformations than practically this entire series. Hell RVB had better animations from s6 onwards when they decided to add their own animation into the mix rather than just machinima.
Plus think about it, it cost the same animation wise as it would to have them have fight animations, or walk cycles. Saying it cost money isn’t really a valid option. Especially when even in stop motion’s transformations isn’t that hard, and judging from the character designs they’re practically taking the toy CAD files so them not being able to animate them is bullshit.

Polygon Pictures animated the show. They previously animated Transformers RID and Transformers Prime. On Prime, they regularly went over budget probably due to the sheer number of Transformations in a single episode so they probably dialed it back quite a bit
Despite having the CAD models at their disposal, there aren’t a whole lot of transformations in this Transformers show. Half the cast don’t even transform, and there are a fair amount more offscreen transformations than necessary.

The entire show could have been saved by just…being longer, you can’t fit the story points they chose into 6 episodes per season, it just won’t work

I was told that this is like a Western Anime. But IMO the animation in the series felt Semi realistic. If it had CGI animation with the characters and it's environments as well as hand drawn animation for elements such as Water, fire, smoke, etc. Then I guess it would feel like it would be one step closer to being an Anime.

Astrotrain did transform it was brief though so did Scorponok.

I feel like the show is over hated I personally enjoyed it it's no G1 or prime but it's definitely one of the better shows. Anythings better than robots in disguise 2015 series

Idfc what people say about this trilogy it was perfect to watch so many y'all are complaining about other autobots like bumblebee not transforming and I will respect your opinions but everything else was done well be happy this is the closest we get to seeing a fall of Cybertron and war for Cybertron continuation. At least we know what was gonna happen in the game after the autobots left Cybertron
I don’t know about most people but at least my criticism is that the story and characters don’t compare to there fall and war for cybertron versions. Also we already got a sequel to that game the transformers prime series was the sequel to the games this is just a completely different universe entirely. Also the voices aren’t as good as the original

I do think Soundwaves voice is atrocious. It's supposed to be monotone not full on robot. And worse you can barely understand him that's my major complaint since Soundwave is my favorite transformers.

Optimus prime voice sounds weird
I’m not sure why this series gets so much hate. The only major flaw I find in it is the slow, drawn out delivery of the dialogue at times. It starts to really drag but, the animation and plot did justice to G1 and BeastWars while acknowledging many elements and lore of various transformers mediums. Perhaps it tried to encapsulate more than it should have and missed the mark in some areas but I found it to be exciting and interesting all the same.
these transformations suck. why do so many ppl suck at the actual transformer animations or showing them. or like the mechanical timing of them. it’s not hard

i dont like the g1 transformation sound effect on newer media, imo it should have stayed in the old cartoons it sounds so cartoonish and unfitting, good for a cartoon, bad for good visuals
Bad take.
They only use one sound clip for all transformations. Seems a little lazy, considering the G1 series had at least four sounds. The one you hear is ascending in pitch. Originally, this was for normal transformation from alt mode to standing robot. The one you don't hear is the same sound with a descending pitch. This was used in G1 to denote normal transformation from standing robot to alt mode. The remaining two sounds from G1 are sped up versions of the other two, to denote rapid transformation. The sounds already exist. Why not use them? Lazy!
