Friend, I have this same pack. To address the issue with the magnet getting covered, switch the sides that the tail end of strap is on, in this video you have it your right. Unclip the right and clip it to the left, and the left to the right. Then, slide the magnet back to your right side…. No more tail end covering your magnet. Alternative option, I’ve seen in a vid put out by osprey, the tail end is designed to feed back through the magnet. Take the magnet off and feed both pieces through it for strap management.
I watched your video a year ago before I bought this pack, so thank you... I looked back on it just now because I remembered you mentioning the excess sternum strap obstructing the magnet. Did you ever find a solution? I'm certain I read a fix somewhere for this but damned if I can find it.
What brand is your 500ml soft flask? Does it move around a lot when running? I was thinking a 500ml soft flask might be too slim/slender that it might not fit snug enough in the width of the pockets of the Duro 1.5. Maybe a 600ml soft flask might be a better snug fit? Please let me know. Thanks.
Hey, I use the Hydrapak 500ml Ultaflask. The vest has elastic bands that slip around the neck of the flask and as long as there is no air in the flask there is no bounce or wobble. There is also an elastic band to keep the straw under control.
Hey Chris, thanks for watching! I don't own any hard flasks, but I have a 24oz Body Armor water bottle which I think is a close representation of a hard flask and it fits fine. If you have the option, trying it on is the best option, if available, since I can't compare apples to apples.
Hey, mine didn't come with any softflasks when I bought it from REI, but I got a single Hydrapak 500ml softflask then last week before I ran a 50k I bought another 500ml softflask so yes, they fit perfectly.
I think different dealers give either 2 X 250ml softflask, or one hydraulic 1.5L reservoir. I got the reservoir and not the softflask. Anyone got both the sets, of course with no apparent price hike?

Feeding both the main and tail piece through the magnet slots solves the problem. It looks much neater, and keeps everything where it belongs.
Many thanks
Thanks for this review - I'm getting one, and it's been great to get some simple honest feedback. Cheers.
You're going to love it! My wife just picked up the Dyna 1.5 which is just the female version and it completely changed our long trail runs.
@@adamingle3135 I'm just looking forward to ditching the bike storage, and the fanny pack for my phone!! 😂

Very helpful, thanks for the review!!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the reivew. Did you go with the S/M or the M/L?
I got the M/L. I'm 5'10' 200lbs and it has some room to cinch down when I lose more weight.
Appreciate it, thanks
Great review and info!

The Trails Are Calling Thank you for the reply!
Great review. Will those top, front pockets hold a hard flask bottle or just a soft flask?

@@adamingle3135 thanks for the reply. I will try one on before purchasing. Stay healthy and safe in these interesting times.
The vest comes with 2 x 250ml softflask, does it work also with 500ml ?
