Fanano, Lizzano and Sestola, Emilia-Romagna (Italy) - What, How and Why to visit them (4K)

If you are planning to visit Emilia-Romagna region, in northern Italy, consider to visit the villages of Fanano, Lizzano in Belvedere and Sestola, close to Bologna and Modena.
Why?
Because the mountains of the provinces of Bologna and Modena are just amazing and there you can find two of the main peaks of the Apennines, Cimone and Corno alle Scale, and three fascinating medieval villages where stay: Fanano, Sestola, and Lizzano in Belvedere!
Fanano:
Fanano is the biggest town and it’s at the center of this area, the perfect location where stay overnight and then go around and visit all the attractions I’ll show you.
Sestola:
The first document in which the Sestola’s Castle has named dates back to 753 AD and over the centuries, the cities of Modena and Bologna fought “foòth” for its control.
Lizzano in Belvedere:
Lizzano in Belvedere derives part of its name from the fact that in its territory, in the past, there was the castle of Belvedere, located at the top of this mountain.
Cimone:
Mount Cimone is the highest peak in the northern Apennines.
Corno alle Scale:
Corno alle Scale is at the center of a wonderful regional park that surrounds it.
