Now, since the 1960s, the United States has been less Christian and has become more secular/liberal/globalist. While now, after toppling communism Russia went from a very atheist/liberal country to one of the most Christian countries on earth. It's largely guided by a Christian nationalist perspective now. Anything the government thinks will compromise people's moral integrity is banned.
