Sterling effort Sir Robyn of Vincent. I think the malaise of vulnerability has elicited a refreshing and acerbic scrutiny of this months offerings. Future Sounds pin matrix has me frothing with excitement.
Nice one robbo, I’m at my wits end with these daft boxes and you always manage to remind me to not take it all too seriously and find the fun. Proper soldier ❤
Hey Robin!!! What a marvelous privilege it is to watch you scramble through all this synth stuff. I really enjoyed watching your last DIY video. I'm your biggest fan!!! Pachinko is the marble game. I think they are from Japan.
My Collide 4 arrived this week. It sounds so, so, SO, bloody good. It's a beautiful thing. All I've done so far is ping the input. Already in Electric Dreams though. BARELY scratched the old surface. Amazing module. Possibly the best module I've ever bought. Feels like this is what it's all about, at least for me.
@20:46, Answer: I've shoe-horned one 3HP and nine '2HP' modules into 4.2 inches of rack-space. Almost a dual-voice setup, most-recommended modules for any starter kit. It's an absolute nightmare to operate but gets the job done for having some fun!
Sitting down with my kid, her on the volca kick, and me running fx and setting tempo on the nts3 kaoss pad. Doot doot zap peoww! Way easier than a 303, and really portable.
Come on Robin, when are you going get with it, make some room in your shed and do us a full review of one of these.....Wersi PERGAMON OAX1000LS !!!!😁😆😁😆 Have a look at the Vangelis demo on one!
I was interested in the Digitone a couple of years ago when I wanted to get some digital presence in my overwhelmingly analog studio. Unfortunately for Elektron, Korg put out the OpSix with 6 FM operators/carriers instead of Digitone’s 4, and the immediacy of the 6 dedicated dials with color coding to show their current function, plus it was hundreds of dollars less. The situation and my choice would still be exactly the same now with both company’s current mark II models.
2op is all I'm rolling with, and fairly happy patching those up. Just a little extra zazz in the timbres. (Also have a volca fm if I'm hankering for dx7 sounds)
I think Korg's mistake was trying to market the Multi/Poly as a new take on the Mono/Poly. It seems like a great synth on its own. But it's not really a Mono/Poly thing. Looks and sounds great, though.
@@LordoftheBadgers I think you nailed it! A rose by any other name! Now we just need to translate this to hardware where the dropping ball randomly strikes a pin that triggers a gate and measures the velocity of the impact to drive CV. Divide the board up into multiple zones with multiple outputs and VOILA!
We think alike about Plaits. But on Blaknblue we disagree. I thought the filter was horrid and has a real small window where it has potential to sound good. I sent it back and swapped it for the Eowave Magnetique. Now thát is a good sounding filter!
At the last one we had a whole table of Behringer synths. Behringer has nothing but contempt for reviewers and RUclipsrs like me. It’s not about being bold it’s about not wanting to invite arseholes.
@@MoltenMusicTech I’m no fan of Behringer’s conduct, I’m baiting you a little bit really. Just I haven’t seen these things in the flesh (except the 909 clone, a couple of friends got them) so I was beginning to wonder if they just a myth. Anyway I have my Saturday tix and awaiting Sunday details
I really appreciate these monthly roundups!
Thank you for including us and for the kind words about our Replicant VCF. Glad you're enjoying it.
love my Perkons! thank you for your awesome videos and helping to feed my addiction!

Another awesome roundup, sir. Thanks for putting it together, especially when you aren’t feeling well. I hope you feel better soon!
Always enjoy your videos Robin. You’re like a beam a sunshine from your shed in England to my apartment in New York. ❤

I totally agree on Error Instruments! I absolutely love it's existence, but I have no clue what it all means! Awesome!
Thank all the gods korg aren’t remonetizing their back catalogue. The new synth looks and sounds amazing. Digitone 2 is a big leap forward too.
After producing one Synth East, you are game for another? Brilliant! Road trip time!
Great! This is number 3.
Great video and love your passion. Signed up for, your paid Patreon 😊

Always an interesting journey! Many thanks
Hope you end up liking the Plexus! Your description of its functions couldn't have been better :)

I got my Ableton Move and I love it
I think you're right on the money with the MultiPoly
We call the game with ball bearing Korona and every kid in from 50s to 90s build one at school
Perkons always makes me think of Perkins, a below average chain of fast casual chain of restaurants in America

I love the unusual angle that Korg is willing to take, as well as the accessible price.

Perkins was the name of the chorus girl in the film The Old Dark House with Charles Laughton and Boris Karloff

That’s totally it
@@MoltenMusicTechThe name bait and switch is so…so…so Roland! And that just ticks me off when they do that.
If korg did it like a take 5, that would've been great. 17:49
1:05:35 - the word you’re looking for is Pachinko Machine… which makes me wonder if there’s an idea in there somewhere 😂!
Bagatelle I suspect....

Interesting
The Roli scafolding thing seems like and XBox Kinect?
I don't get the Elektron thing either! Was only ever really interested in the SidStation. Beyond that, I don't get it AT ALL! 😕
Is there a Patreon level to divert the jets? 😁
Behringer seems to be banned from a lot of these fests. Are you bold enough to invite them to Synth East?

Bagatelle
🎉🤙🏻
also, was the game called bagatelle?
Yes that was it

Not feeling the Korg Multi/Poly at all. Feels like Korg have done a Roland! Utterly underwhelming.
