    "No reason to be hunting them during that time" How about that's when they are killing deer fawns? These anti hunting groups are so far out of touch it's amazing.

    • @sanctifymymusic
      @sanctifymymusic 7 месяцев назад

      Yep. It’s disingenuous. The groups have an agenda and it usually involves doing away with the North American model of conservation completely and having very limited to no hunting because game species population would be much lower. These are there stated beliefs but the arguments are about emotional stuff usually and trying to make biologists prove why they r need a season rather than prove how the season is harmful. Same thing happened with spring black bear in WA state. That’s when the bears are eating fawns and calves.

    I wish they would have shown the entire part with the gal from MUCC talking about private land nuisance. She goes on to talk about how it is very tough to claim nuisance. Unless you have livestock seems like it was edited to prove an agenda.

    Decisions made for wildlife should be based solely on the facts gathered by wildlife biologists who specialize in the specific animal in question and region. No voter or lawmaker should have a voice in the matter whatsoever.
    Voters and lawmakers haven't a clue and giving them a voice is a mistake. The natural ecosystem has been severely disrupted due to humans and their development. It is up to.
    Humans to balance the system the best they can. Left unchecked these animals will eat themselves into extinction as well as many other species.

    The coyotes don't stop hunting. Besides pets, their favorite prey is calves and sheep. They also attack cows in the process of calving. I had a dairy, beef cows, and horses. There should be no restrictions on coyotes.

    If you have small children and/or pets, keep them safe in your yard. Coyotes are a part of our natural habitat, like birds, deer, snakes, bugs. Please be responsible for your family and pets. Don't blame the coyotes.

      Your a liberal puppet. These people should be able to hunt dangerous animals like this when they can. I think a lot of the left want the racoons rat bats and coyotes to have more rights to our space than we do. These are doo doo birds their numbers arent threatened. This is just more liberalized coercion on part of the collective witless administration.

    • @edie4321
      @edie4321 8 месяцев назад +1

      Not in the cities. This was planned. The coyotes have plenty of open space areas, and the government got rid of all feral cats, and prairie dogs within city limits, leaving them our pets. And we can't protect ourselves in the city. If I was rural, I'd understand and get the proper dogs, instead of the ones they want to eat. Right now, we are their only predators, and they are getting out of control in Albuquerque. How do I protect my own?

  • @jeremystanton382
    @jeremystanton382 7 месяцев назад

    It's absolutely scientific. I live in Ohio. Coyotes are pretty much the only predators up there and your state has had more deer disease than anywhere else mainly due to over population of deer. I'm imagine if there were no coyotes left or just not enough coyotes to thin out the sick. But your state's problem has now became our problem in the counties bordering Michigan because you want to hunt something you don't even eat and furs have almost no value these days. So your coyote population directly effects spreading of diseases to all you neighbors. I deer hunt hard but still know they are necessary to ebb disease and keep the herd healthy.

    • @timtalaski5904
      @timtalaski5904 7 месяцев назад +2

      Not to worry Jeremy, the DNR has plenty of ways to thin down the heard!! If the Michigan DNR had a problem with overpopulation they would let them use bait again!

    • @jeremystanton382
      @jeremystanton382 7 месяцев назад

      @@timtalaski5904 I hear ya, but baiting is one of the problems. Like I said, their reasoning doesn't make any sense when they could have just used an overpopulation reason. It doesn't say much for your DNR if they can't give a viable reason whether it's their actual motive or not

    • @adambmonroe
      @adambmonroe 5 месяцев назад

      Dude you couldn't be more wrong on everything you are saying. First off nothing about this change is based off science, that's why they are getting sued. It's based off pups and mothers and people feeling sorry for them. Coyotes are pretty much not the only predator here. Hawks, eagles, black bear, wolves, bobcats, mountain lion, humans, and vehicles. Yes coyotes are leading the board but to say pretty much the only is a stretch. I would not eat a coyote and doubt you would either if we both shot one. And since you are so smart with science and all how about you look up the USGS.gov CWD distribution map. I was just updated June 2024! Your problem with it came from Pennsylvania not Michigan. To be honest I don't think most people even care if there was season on them or not, if they see one and they have their gun they are going to shoot it up here anyway.

      Apparently you don't have any idea what you're talking about.
      The species is already severely overpopulated which is having a negative impact on other species. Left unchecked long enough and you will start finding large doses of coyote's that do not survive winter due to lack of food(energy for warmth).
