This is him, just darker.
That's it in a nutshell, with hints of Leatherface in it because he's not just taking skins from young boys, and wore a lady's scalp as if he was Buffalo Bill.

I like the Pinocchio puppet and practical effects here but the CGI scenes look early 2000s.
To be fair, they do have a pretty small budget compared to the Hollywood films.

Amazing after waiting three years for any sort of update on this film we’re finally getting a look at it I absolutely love this the puppeteering of Pinocchio is phenomenal it almost looks cg and his voice is great not at all what I expected was thinking he’d sound more sinister and shrill but this voice is perfect making him sound like a kid makes way more sense than my initial idea he starts off innocent and curious about the world like the original book and the Disney version and over time becomes more villainies in his desire to become a real boy moving on to the Cricket i was cautiously optimistic about the portrayal of the cricket but after seeing fully what he’ll look like he quickly became my favorite part of this trailer the animation of him is amazing and of course Robert Enguld is an incredible voice actor perfect for the role and him looking like Freddy Kruger is what completes it for me I like the idea of him being more of the villain over Pinocchio he is being used as a pawn for the Cricket to carry out his nefarious deeds and being feed lies that the world is cruel acting as his “Conscience” i firmly believe the cricket will die in Poohniverse Monsters assemble the TCU phase one finale and Pinocchio has a slim chance at Redemption I am so incredibly excited for this movie as a TCU fan
