i was 13 when my dad played this song in our living room. that was when i discovered this lovely song. its dad's fav and has become mine too ever since that day.
I just got out of a relationship that wasn't working out. I hated it when it first happened but after an understanding conversation with my ex we I realized that it was time to finish this chapter and that he was right for initiating it. I love him and he loves me but our love could not surpass the sacrifices our relationship demanded, and eventually evolved into something non romantic (just took me some time to realise it haha). It still hurts of course, getting used to being whole after being a half for so long. But I think we both can grow from it, and so can everyone, that we can be and should be wholes, even in a relationship. "We belong to you and me" suddenly has a new meaning to me, and I'm interpreting this song as a greeting from me to me after so long of not truly spending time with myself :)
I've been in your situation before and all I can say is that - you're gonna get through it. Its not easy at first, but once you figure out how to truly understand and love your self more, being alone won't be sad as the world thought it would be. I wish you true happiness and contentment in life, enjoy the journey.
