Finally...I made a costly error months ago and have been too scared to remove the other one that was holding up a large painting. After watching this video. It took less that 15 seconds to remove properly. Wow...how easy!

A hair dryer will also work if you don’t have a heat gun handy, it’s just a bit slower 👍

Heat gun will bubble up the paint for some people just like my blow dryer did I would suggest dental floss works like a charm

What about if i have another type, which is not 3m. is using a hair dryer or possibly alcohol some other methods to remove if there is no obvious way to remove another type of hook on paint without removing the paint from the wall?

I used a similar product which had no labels on the tags so I just ripped it off thinking it was rubbish .
So now I have no tag to pull the clips off the wall
What can I use now to ease the stickiness to safely remove it

Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat the adhesive and remove it with a plastic scraper slowly. Any residue left behind can be cleaned with a goo remove preferably a citrus based product 👍

This is a sign of a terrible product. The stretch tab should never, ever break under any circumstances. You should never have to use alternate methods to get the hook off. I will never use them again.
