At 19:10 Shady should have definitely ended on the Drakkari, as he said. His end of turn scaling was 3x3 = 9 ticks, but with Drakkari it would have been 3x4 = 12 ticks, so an extra 33% scaling for one turn. The golden Beatboxer alone would have gained 1300 attack instead of 1000 attack. In addition, playing that one regular Beatboxer boardlocked him and it eventually needed to be replaced with Leeroy at any rate. He was also facing a ghost, so he had the perfect opportunity to scale for free, before selling the Drakkari for the all in for the final fight.
I would be interested to hear why you decided to drop Zajira over the Tae'thalan buddy - my instinct would definitely have been to get out of the buddy first.
The buddy is more resources and more flexible. He can copy something like telescope to try to get more magnetics or triples or he can use it to get more beatboxers, say with a ritual of growth cast 3 times.
zajira required you to high roll, the other buddy is more reliable, consistent value. Optimally, you refresh to find zahira value, if you can't find anything before you need to play cards, sell it.
In the beginning shady is like: yeah some decisions basically don’t matter, but 20% of will matter a lot…. And then he has the perfect turn to showcase the phenomena. All the decisions after that were basically insignificant in comparison.
@@DRAGUSH_123 i never got that much over 7k each season, only stay around 6500 and with the month left i get to 7k, i think I'm the average player zone of battleground
@@MrLegatobluelooked at leaderboards today and top is 16K but that’s still really insane, basically the closer to 8k you are the better you are and if you’re at 7k you’re doing pretty good.
Those are known as pivot trinkets. Basically, of all the trinkets tied to a tribe, there’s trinkets where you _must_ have two of a tribe’s minions to get, and then there’s pivot trinkets, which the game suggests as a way to pivot into a different strategy. You don’t need two minions of the tribe to get one offered, but in exchange it costs 2 less.
making the correct descisions really works out.... I feel tough i am better mechanicly in the game, not forgetting certain interactions like you do a lot of the time. However you are about 2k higher atleast every season so, correct choices really help huh.
idk about u guys but im stuck at 4k like a noob and idk why, im playing for several hours but nothing… idk what and how to do to get better besides these videos i saw at shadybunny, when im playing by my self nothing works so maybe it s luck or maybe i should let go this game…
Battlegrounds isn’t a super easy game. A lot of the times people win easily because of high rolls and luck. Learning how to maintain yourself early game while being able to build a board state for the late game will help you climb out of 4k. Shady has a few videos where he explains it well. Also watching other players that he commentates like Jeef and XQN and BeterBabbit will help too. Just keep grinding
If you want to improve at the game, go watch jeef and his guides, for me it’s very helpful. If you stuck at 4k, you probably do one of these things:you choose strategy at the start of the game, roll too much, play not on curve, leveling too aggressively/staying on low tavern too long. Watching shady is also very helpful at least to know the meta :)
commons sense and intelligence, I got to 8k noschalantly, no tutorials no overlays nothin... keep playing and think harder. It is luck also, at x900 mmr you will get hardstuck and then after you pass x000 you will explode for 600-700 mmr and get hardstuck again until you get lucky
This was a certified "not playing the same game" moment

I was also getting triggered by that Drone not getting a Module! The poor dude worked hard for it and got nothing!
wow the book you mention at the start is literally my subjet in my commercial university

That turn 9 was magical
Love your videos Shady, keep it up!
I like Shadybunny, he has nice content.
I really struggle at times with mid game. I think that's why I've never really gotten better. I'm always stuck at average (7k)
pretty sure "average" is closer to the 5-6k range?
@@DRAGUSH_123 oh idk. I thought top was like 12-14.

According to Hearthstone Deck Tracker top 5% of players are 7,3k+ (which is the data they use for avg placements etc.)
It is true, I've never seen such a lucky turn.
Lets go, pleasure to watch as always
first video I watch after first starting to play and I see this, holy shit am I bad at this game lmao
Why is one trinket always cheaper?

I think when you're streaming you also have to manage audience interaction and that can make remembering niche interactions harder
