I love it. Growing up on the old Bullfrog, Maxis, and Chris Sawyer games, I have to agree. This is Free Real Estate in video game tycoons and I am here for it. Thank you for covering it, adding the demo and wishlisting the game now!
the concrete mixer truck is generally not used to actually mix the concrete (it can be used for it yes) primarily concrete is premixed at a concrete factory and pumped into the mixer, the mixer's barrel will keep rotating to keep the concrete mixed nicely so the components dont split apart (water raising to the surface and rocks falling to the bottom slowly) and to make sure the concrete doesnt start drying before its poured into the intended location
wrong, the concrete plant is batch plant where they put in the aggregate, the stone type, psi rated fiber adjust the slump, all sorts of stuff, the concrete mixer is indeed a mixer.
@@masonhamilton1206 Wrong.. you can do both.. i have worked in the industry and know full well how it works maybe its common at your local concrete factory not to premix but that doesnt make it the standard
Reminds me of Building and Co from 2008 by PlayLogic. Unfortunately, a lot of work is needed on this to be equivalent to a game from 2008. Having said that, it deserves huge respect that a game like this is finally coming out. ANd I look forward to see the final.
this does look interesting other building games you just plop the building down and it good to go it is cool to see a game coming along wherever you may have to manage every aspect and it actually takes time
Finally a successor to Construction Inc (Bau AG in German) It came out in the early 2000's and was almost exactly like this. Sadly it was abandoned shortly after release. This one actually had digging mechanics and you had to get rid of the dirt. You then had to rent a crane to get the digger out of the hole
There is another game called "Bau AG" in germany, released in 2008. Could be that it was never released in other countries. Sadly it was full of bugs and unplayable. I'm really excited to finally see something like that again. 🤩
There was an English version I remember playing as well. Just looked for it again (been looking off and on for years, thanks for the name reminder), called Building & Co: You are the Architect! It was apparently released in Russia and UK (could be different?) I really enjoyed the management side as well, because you had to rent the vehicles and if you ordered the cement too early, it would be useless by the time you were ready for it, and had to reorder more. Pretty sure you needed to have people come and remove your dirt as well, but you needed some of it to fill back in after the foundation was done.
I did play this game as well. It was quiet detailed with a lot of different tasks. Sadly often the game bugged and it wasn't possible to finish the construction.
I WISH I COULD GET THIS DEMO!!!! This game has been on my wishlist since it was able to be, Architect & Co. this game is a replica.Last time I played was early 2000's and I can't find it anywhere!
I can’t help it , but I see this is the direction city builder games are going to be in the near future , like construction simulator and games like City Skylines but mixed , you design it , you assign it , you build it , from the ground up …..
If I purchase my son a steam deck, will he be able to play these PC games on them, such as this he's going on about and manor lords, bannerlords and some other game you can't play on PlayStation or xbox 🤔 Information would be greatly appreciated 👏 Am I also able to link it to tv like the switch 😆
Building plot office and workers office... I've never heard of such things, There is usually a trailer brought in for the job superintendent and then for bigger longer jobs they will have some containers to lock up tools and more expensive materials and port o potties........ thats it... I was never on a jobsite that lasted longer then 6 months though so maybe on the multi year jobs it would be different.......
As somebody that work construction and rubs shoulders with nearly all stakeholders within any given project, this game should not be used for educational purposes.
As a Land Surveyor who does quite a bit of construction work, Definitely not very accurate as far as the logistics of it.....ish lol BUT for a demo, it's not too bad of a start! Would love to advise this person a bit more on site work that's for sure 😂

Miss those games

Only on youtube would there be an argument about a cement mixer :-)
@@mobsiesixsixsix9785wrong, you find these arguments on Twitch as well 😂😂
A concrete mixer is used to mix dry powder cement, building sand, crush (small pebbles) and water together
this looks cool, it s like a construction version of Emergency were you have to control the vehicles, crew, and stuff.

I WISH I COULD GET THIS DEMO!!!! This game has been on my wishlist since it was able to be, Architect & Co. this game is a replica.Last time I played was early 2000's and I can't find it anywhere!

Do you think people like playing these types of sim games because we played with Tonka Trucks? I love train sims and I played with a trainset...
Must be building a big shed or something, no plumbing?
#newconstructionplumber

Yes, well, I worked on a construction site where there were temporary housing, offices, brake rooms and a undercover meeting area.
But that's long-term sites
builders put the rebar first, before pouring concrete, js
There's gotta be a construction inspector simulator
There is hahaha. It's called 'INFRA' and is on Steam.
"seems a little small to make a bedroom" 100 m2 = over 1000 square ft xD But yeah, its not rly correct scalewise compared to the workers and stuff
Building & CO. Back in the early 2000's Look it up and let me know what ya think. Its not Architect & Co., my last comment was wrong. sorry!!!
this game remind me to game called BUILDING AND CO.
Next eps 2
Why not have day and night?? Is more cool if have day and night
No news from Devs in months. Dead?
This game looks very buggy 👎🏾👎🏾
Not even out until September
UwU
As somebody that work construction and rubs shoulders with nearly all stakeholders within any given project, this game should not be used for educational purposes.
If you are going to games for knowledge... you won't make it far
But it could inspire younger kids to get into architecture/ engineering / drafting!
As a Land Surveyor who does quite a bit of construction work, Definitely not very accurate as far as the logistics of it.....ish lol

What’s the point of theses comments 😂it’s a game.
Never thought that a game should be educational I thought that it should be fun and entertaining.
I am sure game will get more Polish.
good
For added realism there should be a crane lifting the materials to each floor so workers don't have to go all the way down
