As much of an accomplishment it is, i'm glad you agree the difficulty is overrated. This tower is considered unreal purely because of the punishment and lenght, and not the actual difficulty of jumps. It's definitely on the higher end of horrific, but i wouldn't put it in unreal difficulty. Basically it's the same issue as with ToLP, except ToLP is probably even harder than this. Regardless of that, unreal or not, this is still definitely a completion that deserves all the GGs you're getting around. Godspeed Skitsuna!

Every sign in ToAST Welcome to the Tower of Annoyingly Simple Trials! This can be considered as the tutorial tower. Here, you will be taught the most common techniques and obstacles used in towers. This is a button. Press it to activate platforms that are the same color. Look at the ceiling, it'll help you. These are Pushing Platforms (not X blocks). Walk up against the X and it will push you. Try it; it shouldn't be too hard. This is a kill brick. When you touch it, it does not kill you, but it does damage you. Try to avoid them; and be sure to keep track of your health. Watch out; this platform below is a conveyor. In harder towers, you may encounter these more unexpectedly. These are falling platforms. They fall when you step on them; you need to be fast. You've pressed all of the buttons; you'll need to backtrack to access the mini-tower. This is a speed boosting pad. It increases your speed by a lot until either the duration runs out of you touch a speed normalizing pad. GOTTA GO FAST These spinners... well.. spin around. You get it, spinners spin. These are rope platforms. They swing. This rope platform only uses one rope. It's also been made heavier for tutorial purposes. These platfrom shove in one direction then retreat. Be sure to avoid the force of the platform at all costs; find the proper timing and get through. Find the correct timing to jump when avoiding these kill brick spinners. They don't instakill, but it's best to avoid them. Jumps like this can lead to falls if you're not careful enough. These are jump pads. They bounce you into the air upon standing on them. You're almost through! Just 4 more floors of the tutorial left! A lot of the harder towers have at least one outside section; thye are rare in easy towers like this. Don't worry, this outside section is a complete joke. This is a balloon. Touch it to get a balloon, you can control yourself in midair. When either you jump or the balloon runs out of time, it pops. It can pop at any second, so be careful. While you're going through some towers, the lighting may darken in some points. This is an example of just that. Be careful, it is harder to see when it's dark. This is a moving platform; they move between certain destinations. If it's not here, just wait until it arrives. It is best to jump onto the moving platform when it has just arrived. Sometimes you may encounter this; a zipline. Touching it will attach you to the zipline and you will go down it. To conclude the basic part of the tutorial; these are loose platforms. Be careful when jumping onto these as you can easily fall off of them. Now onto the advanced tutorial. Here, you will learn about the more complex obstacles. In some towers, you may encounter this set of trusses. To go across, get to the very tip of the truss and hold left/right to quickly go across. Hold forwards if you want to go slowly or wrap around the truss. This technique requires shift lock or first person. If you don't feel like wrapping around the truss, you can just skip this part. This is a glitch technique known as "wall glitching." To pull it off, you must push yourself against one of these corners, make sure your camera is facing away from the corner, then activate shift lock/first person. This should cause you to get forced straight through the wall. You can just jump over the obstacle too, if you can't wall glitch. Here is another glitch technique known as wallhugging. Push yourself against the wall right here, activate shift lock/first person, then jump up while still going up against the wall while using the keys as soon as you're up against a ledge to go up. Or you can just go up this truss. Some buttons have a time limit. Act fast and be sure to get to the end before the timer expires! In some rare instances, there could be buttons that act inversely, if the other button is active than this will deactivate the button platforms instead. Here is one final challenge. There is a shortcut you can take along this path, can you find it? Right here at the end will teleport you to the end. If you are seeing this, that means you have reached a hidden shotcut! This shortcut doesn't save much time, but congratulations on finding this! You have reached the end! We have shown all that is there to offer; you may find some unique things in other towers that we might not have shown, however. Climb up the truss to reach the winpad and touch it to win.
