This is hilarious. The almost monotone delivery is just amazing to me. The comment about no developer ever finishing a project from start to finish is too accurate haha
Better solution to being able to work anywhere, work on a ten year old phone that somehow still has a coding app that works and work exclusively in your aunts porta potty
Most successful developer is someone with a decade and over experience in industry making a "beginner guide to [insert language]" video on tube and reaping the rewards of comment section being proud "Hello World" actually show on screen ! After first 1 mil view with avg watch time of 2 min you are set for life with eternally loyal fan base you can preach how they can learn to code in 3 months and earn 20k a month and offer them your 50% discounted course to success !
holy shit I was convinced you would have like 2M subs and 1,000 times the views after watching this vid, keep up the great work! you're criminally underrated!
about the "Maybe I should pursue a simpler life" bit, the developer of Neofetch did exactly that. The repo is archived and he has said that he is now taking on farming.
I'm a hobby programmer (although I so far only use very high-level interpreted languages like Python and JS) and I absolutely have adopted the nomad lifestyle, but at home I plug my laptop into a second monitor to have more screen real-estate.
Having only ever used vim (aside from the couple of weeks I used atom and the one time I opened emacs) it is very easy to learn and you will be able to figure out another IDE (once you make vim an IDE)
seeing vscode etched into your retinas when you sleep is a good thing, give it 10 minutes youll start hearing the bugs, but your asleep so you forget in the morning
You should absolutely make a discord to discuss code and other ridiculous stuff. I can help set it up and make a custom bit if you need, been making them for years
Same realization as Peter in "Office Space", but that's if your job really was menial to the point that you're looked at as a "cost center" instead of a profit center as ThePrimeagen puts it.
Funniest thing ever is me falling asleep at my desk, cause i'm doing funny personal project off-hours (i've started at 7pm, and suddenly it is 3am, wtf?), and now I'm drinking 3rd monster, waiting for build to go through jenkins, PM's asking how's the progress (i've slept 3.5h), and it's not even 11am so far - this video is waaay too accurate
10x developer found. But, you should only use one monitor, learn the keyboard shortcuts, don't use VIM, spend years learning discipline so you can finish a project, sacrifice your social life, or never get one to finish your project, buy an eggs cooker, bread maker, oats and multivitamins now you can live off $5 a day.
As a language model, I aim to promote constructive dialogue, but I understand your frustration. It's disappointing when comments detract from the discussion rather than adding value. However, resorting to derogatory labels like "NPC" isn't productive. Let's strive for more respectful and insightful interactions.
The quality of the vids are insane. I love it 💪 PS: You sound really experienced in this stuff, do you know of anyone that's interested in a educational/inspiring thumbnail? I am a graphic designer and planning on perfectly recreating the ideas of content creators... So I'm planning on asking the right questions, matching the brand, studying the viewers, matching the personality... and then using the right techniques (sometimes I'd like to jump out of the comfort-zone and learn new stuff) so that I can keep adjusting till they're satisfied with their ideal thumbnail.

"--and inhale sharply through your nose" 🤣 Thank you for this beautiful advice.
incredibly undervalued video. Cool artwork, humorous plot that actually makes sense. Delivery is top notch.
Thank you!

let's be real, you don't actually need a decade of experience for that. Just gotta pretend to have that, and talk out of your neck enough
3:04 the humour is very deep indeed i like it lol
deep?

Your humor reminds me of "Casually Explained" in the best ways, keep it up!
Thank you!
My videos are no doubt inspired by casually explained.
Got kicked out for trying ctrl + w.
God tier tip, tho.
what do you mean 750 subscribers? this is a masterpiece
Dude almost doubled in 2 weeks.
this is my new favorite programmer humor (crippling disabling depression) channel
earned a sub from this masterpiece (i will end it all)
Bro I thought you had like a million subs! The video was awesome! Keep going
this video is criminally underrated
this is such a good video friend, thank you 😭
Keep it up !!
Proud to be here before he passes 5k subscribers!
I don't know if it was on purpose but damn, was it funny to me. Didn't even CONSIDER someone might not use vscode 😂
yes. i will use this for Ywar3 thank you very much
I accidentally closed the video as soon as you mention Ctrl+W. D:

this deserves 1 million views, the aesthetic is so good
this is AMAZING content. omg. thank you
You might be the most based html programmer I ever seen on RUclips.
Emoji are a great idea, I don't see a problem. Thank, I'll use that.
most underrated yter

Thats great and funny. I feel all these developer jokes personally
seeing vscode etched into your retinas when you sleep is a good thing, give it 10 minutes youll start hearing the bugs, but your asleep so you forget in the morning
i instantly knew where the "version control" bit was going as i have done exactly that for "low priority" projects 💀
Bro keep it up! Nice video, nice humour 👍 optimization can save you tons of negative hours 😂😂😂
So underated!!
That definitely made me laugh 😂, keep it up and you'll be famous in no time
so i am a super villian now.
Yeahhhhh, that’s devilish accurate 😂
Thought I was watching a casually explained video for a second lol
I actually got a21:9 monitor and can confirm it makes tailwind more bearable

hey that's mean having 3 monitors doesn't make me a villain
2 weeks 2 months ago is so relatable bro 😭😭😭
4 Monster Ultras and I hit that flow state hard.
I have 2 kinds of humor:
1. South Park
2. This guy
this is amazing lol
i love your videos
Thank you :)
I'm glad you enjoy them!
What is that name lol

I've got a 16:9 LCD monitor and a 4:3 CRT monitor as part of my setup.

Thank you for reminding me to use emojis
2:25 Sauce?
ngl this is absolutely hilarious. shocked to see that you're not in the hundreds of thousands of subs lol
time to actually finish a personal project
This is fucking beautiful.
Oh and I should add the actually somewhat useful tips in there makes it a hundred times better
This video was made specifically with mentats in mind
I sub because of this XD
2:23
Great vid!, but extremely soft audio that is only audible by setting the volume to 100
Noted, thank you. I'll try to improve it in the next one :)
I knew a guy who used emojis as variable names. It hurt.
Pro tip:
Use Alt + Tab instead of Ctrl + W, that way you can just Alt + Tab back once your mom leaves.
One ultra wide monitor and a vertical is all you need
10x developer found.

And remember to not delete node_modules folder from your version control system
Of course. I put most the files I write in there!
Don't forget to accidentally run npm install while in the node_modules
Congratz on getting picked up by the algorithm.
Thanks!
I have 4 monitors and can confirm I am a supervillain planning world domination
I use assembly
this is what the internet was invented for!
If you are not optimizing for minimum latency in your wellbeing-to-money conversion algorithm, you... you... you hold on to that tight, alright?
🤗
Hahah that’s great lol
Well, now I know again what Ctrl+W does. (Accidentally closed RUclips…)
always make sure to write any L in your variables with uppercase i so that you can rage at your computer when you try to use it 4 days later
Error: Variable "variable" does not exist! Do you mean "variabIe"?
2 4k monitors lamdscape but in a vertical orientation for the win.
I still use a (single) VGA monitor.
Phhwww imagine using VSCode
*goes back to using neovim in a dimly lit room and begins crying*
For me, replace "monster energy" with "wasted on alcohol".

Thanks cuz haha

Uhoh, I'm a supervillain. Apparently.
those keyboard shortcuts don't work for me because "i use vim btw" :)
Closing my eyes and still seeing vscode hit way too close to home
sadly not first

My company requires me to use a laptop with Intel integrated graphics so I can only use three monitors 😢
I swear I've seen this video before somewhere...
I swear it's an original. But if you have seen something similar, I'd love to find it.

2:51 you forgot 40 mg of adderal
2:25 Wait a minute, I know that site lol

Imagine looking at pictures of hot women couldn't be me smh

Real
1:34 is that a real tip for those without proper debuggers set up? Lol
Pro tip for us HTML programmers
flow state? 4 items needed to go into flow state that sounds like avatar
2:23 source?
ctrl+b toggles the sidebar
Most cursed thing i've heard all year, everyone knows ctrl+b jumps the the definition of a method/variable
i use vim
I expect no less from the Real mango dev.

Sir Firescealot
This scrub with only 2 monitors has nothing on my 4 horizontal 1 vertical setup. (Yes I run dual dGPU)
No no, for optimal programing flow state you have to start taking estrogen, and wearing programming socks
I think thats for optimal linux use
@@Sirfreelancealot Yes, but like, can you even code on windows or mac? I really doubt that
