Wow! Incredible! The game is practically impossible to 1CC but the score attack ceertainly works well! The strobombs act as a “bomber” giving a bit of wait delay on all ghosts from the stun (if only if you can pick up more from safes or chests). And of course in all arcade games such as shmups, “there’s no such thing as auto bombs!” There is a hidden rank system in the game where the more you survive the more damage the ghosts deal on you and the more HP and resistance they have from suction (especially the annoying slammers... best to quick stun them, get rid of the greenies and then focus on the rest but its my own play style. Bats plus ghosts are match made in pain). The use of continues does give a power up and resets the difficulty rank (like most shmups they give you a MP (max power) item when a continue is used but the score resets to 0.). Luckily the game retains the score. The ghost combo resets to 0 when you take damage or when there is nothing to suck up (I think) The end stage bonus, the score stage performance gives either a life bonus (similar to the House of the Dead series). Can you do a full path run with all or most secrets found? This is to be honest my seal of approval as the World Record overall! Now try challenge mode! P.S you can’t have Luigi’s Mansion without King Boo! End of story. I gotta get back to playing Luigi’s mansion 3 on the switch! I'm impressed you manage to get 1st ranking for the whole game, that I even attempted to achieve this, and I managed to get 1st ranking like you did, but I was hoping you could upload a video of you doing the same thing, but this time with you defeating King Boo without taking damage at all, and starting and ending the battle at full health.
Unfortunately, I can't play the game anymore because of system issues. But yeah, I was going for high scores instead of a no hit challenge. It should be possible though.
I have a question. Why at the beginning of the gameplay you started with 4 lives and not 2? It is possible? Also it’s incredible what you have so finishing the full game with 3 stars. 👏👏
Only the arcade owners can change that setting. Or if you can emulate the game with teknoparrot (what this guy did) which allows you to change settings like changing it to free play and 4 lives.
I played this game at the Amazing Pizza Machine, I loved it so much, especially the final battle with King Boo, but here’s a challenge, “Defeat King Boo without taking any damage at all and remain with full health throughout the whole battle.” I’ve been able to achieve this challenge a couple times.
If you did this in challenge mode then there'd be NO way you can ACE the game & get first place without using a single continue or getting hit. 100% 3 Stars In Challenge Mode?! IMPOSSIBLE! (unless you are good)

Why is it that some point in boss battle, when they were stun, why didn't you vacuum thrm sooner?

Challenge mode is hard. It's easier to get hit, which means you lose your combo. And I think you only have one life per play.
